This beautiful custom home sits atop Picara Point in upscale Estate Peterborg, surrounded by 330-degree sweeping ocean views. Three levels, all beautifully detailed and furnished, offer wonderful panoramas.
On Stargate's fully air-conditioned main floor is the Great Room, with an arched stone fireplace. Just outside is a sunny swimming pool overlooking Magens Bay. The main level also offers a formal dining area, a kitchen with native stone, granite counters and wet bar, a powder room, and two air-conditioned king bedrooms with ensuite baths.
French doors open from the Great Room and from one of the four-poster king bedrooms to a spacious deck bordering the entire the Atlantic Ocean side of Stargate, providing spectacular down-island views - miles and miles of breathtaking sea vistas punctuated with islands in the distance.
A handcrafted mahogany spiral staircase leads to Stargate's upper level and the spacious, air-conditioned king master suite, offering a private balcony with a view of blue Magens Bay. The staircase continues up to Stargate's observatory tower, equipped as a secluded office with a printer and a DSL + Wi-Fi connection for your laptop, with dramatic views from Magens Bay all the way around to the British Virgin Islands and St. John.
At the entrance to Stargate is a manual gate which opens to the short driveway up to the villa and to the villa's attached garage, where you may park your rental car.
Watch tropical sunsets from the pool, then after a leisurely dinner, move to the deck on Stargate's opposite side. What a spot from which to stargaze or watch the twinkling lights of Tortola, brushed by cool ocean tradewinds. Set atop a breezy ridge, Stargate offers luxurious romance and serene relaxation surrounded by inspiring and dramatic vistas.

A minimum 5-night rental is required from April 30-Nov 18 2011, Nov 26-Dec 16 2011, April 14-Nov 16 2012, and Nov 24-Dec 14 2012; a minimum 7-night rental is required from Nov 19-Nov 25 2011, Jan 07-April 13 2012, and Nov 17-Nov 23 2012; and a 10-night minimum rental is required from Dec 17 2011-Jan 06 2012 and Dec 15 2012-Jan 04 2013.
A $500 damage deposit is required.
Children under the age of 8 are welcome at Stargate with a notarized liability waiver.
At Stargate, please request the specific bedroom(s) you wish to occupy at the time of booking so we can prepare them for your arrival. Please note that any bedrooms which are not rented to guests will be locked off for the duration of the rental.
Nowhere else in the Caribbean offers such a good vacation value as the US Virgins. Secluded beaches, national parks, duty-free shopping, kayaking, hiking, ecological tours, world-class SCUBA diving, sailing, sun bathing, fine dining and nightlife are some of the magical things you can do on your St. Thomas vacation. To get around, there are open-air cabs, also known as the "safaris". It costs one dollar and is the cheapest way to navigate the island. There are set routes that they follow. One passes by every drop-off location about every 5–10 minutes. Passenger and car ferry services to neighboring islands such as Water Island, St. John, St. Croix, and the British Virgin Islands run regularly out of the Red Hook Terminal, Charlotte Amalie, and Crown Bay Marina.
