An absolutely charming beach bungalow, built in 1947, and decorated to feel as though you have stepped back in time. Sway on a hammock on the huge wrap-around front porch while the smell of confederate jasmine fills your senses. Lay in the day bed. Step out the front door where the blue water and white sands of Wrightsville Beach await.
The house offers two living spaces. Upstairs has 2 generous bedrooms and one bathroom along with a queen size convertible bed, sleeps 6. There is a separate and wonderfully cozy pied-a'-terre 1 BR apartment on the bottom floor, which features it's own private bathroom, kitchen and very lovely living room, with an additional convertible bed, which sleeps 4 people. The total occupancy of the house is 10. In addition there is an outdoor shower that can be enjoyed in the heat of the summer, or almost any time of the year.
Our home has a special, almost mystical quality. It has provided refuge for many a traveling soul, from monks and yogis, to our many friends from around the world. It is a humble and extremely comfortable sanctuary. Full of light, love, and all the charms of the Old South. You will leave feeling refreshed, renewed and full of gratitude.

My sister and a friend spent a wonderful long weekend in the very special place. Lorri was great to work with - things went as well as can be expected. The house was so lovely, even better than the pictures. Beds were comfortable, porches exceptional and the kitchen had everything you need. I can't wait to return.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We enjoyed staying at your charming cottage It was very close to the beach and convenient to excellent restaurants. Lorri was very accommadating and easy to work with. It was our first time at Wrightsville Beach and we enjoyed relaxing in the quiet town and exploring nearby Wilmington. The house was darling and big enough for 8 people of all ages to enjoy. It was nice that everything that was listed on the ad was there waiting at the house like the chairs and toys. It was so easy to get to the beach! Loved it and we would go back to the same location. Lorri was very helpful with any questions that I had.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Nothing was missing in this wonderful cottage. My wife and I are more than happy that we chose this property to treat our families to a couple of weeks at the beach. Along with standard amenities, there was also a ton of extras (i.e. boogie boards, stroller, kiddie pool, etc. for the kids). The owners were accommodating and responsive when we had questions. We thank them immensely. We will be back!!! :o)Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, girls getaway.

Every time I stay at 7 Sandpiper -- I come home refilled and refreshed. Everything about the house speaks comfort and serenity - from the beds and towels to the hammocks and outdoor shower – Amazing. And the kitchen is a foodies dream! Thank you to Lorri and Grant for wonderful accomodations during our recent stay at WB. We found the cottage so very warm, inviting and well appointed. Beds were all comfortable and towels plush. We had two families together and found that using the downstairs space provided plenty of room for all. Access to the beach was very easy. This rental was comfortable and homey. The interior photos are accurate and the amenities were totally as described, except the hot tub was not working. Also, the exterior was a little more weathered than the photos indicate. There are tons of books and games and lots of multi-cultural art/artifacts. The linens were excellent: crisp sheets and lots of plush towels. The wrap around porch was amazing with plenty of rockers, a picnic table, and a swing. We absolutely enjoyed coffee out there every morning in the sun even though it was December. Two close restaurants that we love are Bluewater and Port City Chop House, but with the great gourmet kitchen at this cottage, we cooked in most of the time. The owners were very helpful and gave us contact numbers for anything we might need. We do plan on coming back, and I definitely would recommend this property to my friends and family.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Can't be in a better location. The beach is a few steps away, and relaxing on the wrap around porch cannot be beat. House has an amazing home away from home feel. Owners have a real gem here! Thanks Grant and Lorri, we had a wonderful vacation that we will remember forever.Recommended for: Families with young children, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

About the owner: I have been in the advertising business for many years, working on the creative side. My wife teaches yoga and elementary school, and is currently very busy raising our daughter Sienna Sky. We wanted our home to feel like a sanctuary, full of light, wonder and calm. We both enjoy cooking, being outdoors, a healthy lifestyle and traveling.

Just over the old drawbridge awaits this beach paradise. 8 miles of windswept dunes, blue waters, dolphins and all that nature has to offer. Wrightsville Beach is a throwback beach community, where people still ride bikes, eat ice cream, walk the beach and come to enjoy the sun and surf. It is equally charming in the off season, with a temperate climate. It offers a nice chance to get away from the crowds, kayak, walk the beach, read and relax. It is a very special place.
