Martinique offers the unique luxury of being the abutting property to the amazingly beautiful and serene Bon Secour National Wildlife refuge, with its lovely nature trails and wildlife. Our beachfront penthouse overlooks this refuge and the three miles of private, federally-mandated, undeveloped beach that are part of the preserve, with sugar-white sand and emerald Gulf water.
All of the homes and condominiums at Martinique are wonderful - our beachfront condominium home is one of a kind and exceptional. Our home is the only penthouse immediately adjacent to the refuge, offering privacy and breathtaking views of the Gulf coast and beautiful Bon Secour refuge. Experience peace and serenity while enjoying the views over the wildlife sanctuary with three miles of permanently mandated undeveloped beach along the sanctuary to the east. Listen to birds, watch for dolphins, and watch beautiful sunrises over this natural paradise, while sipping coffee from the private balcony.
As one of the three-sided end units and, as such, the largest of the Martinique beachfront condominiums, our home offers plenty of light and beautiful three directional views, including water views from the kitchen, dining room, living room, master bedroom, and generous corner balcony.
Our home's overall decor is warm and casually sophisticated, with lovely decorative hand-painted walls, and offers an open floor plan with close to 1,900 square feet of living space.
The fully-appointed kitchen includes eat-in breakfast area, microwave, dishwasher, and laundry room with full-size washer and dryer. Extensive cookware and dinnerware, along with extras such as the cappuccino machine and honor wine bar makes dining in a pleasure.
The open, airy feeling is enhanced the 15-foot vaulted ceiling in the living and dining room and ten-foot ceilings of this penthouse unit. Other amenities include ceiling fans, plantation shutters, central heating and air conditioning, a large master bath with whirlpool tub, separate glass-enclosed shower, double vanity, and lots of closet space.
Many personal touches will make this retreat feel like your own vacation home. Large bath sheets and beach towels, beach chairs, games, movies (DVDs, VCRs), a fine selection of books and CDs are included for your comfort. The balcony area features a teak dining set with four chairs and two teak steamer loungers.

- Championship-caliber golfing is a stroke away at any of the area's renowned courses. The closest is Kiva Dunes (about a mile away). Others are within easy driving distance. Gareth Clar, golf writer for the Mobile Register and Southern Breeze, writes that golf vacations in Alabama have been rated among the best in the country and among the best in the world by Golf Digest. The famous Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail serves as its backbone. Kiva Dunes, designed by former U.S. Open champion Jerry Pate, is located on the Fort Morgan peninsula, with holes so close to the Gulf of Mexico you can hear the waves crashing. Craft Farms is the granddaddy of golf resorts in southwest Alabama, featuring 54 holes. Cotton Creek and Cypress Bend were designed by Arnold Palmer and The Woodlands was designed by Larry Nelson.
