There are no words to describe the wonderful seven days we spent at Los Chonchos. Not knowing what to expect we rode on the water taxi for about an hour, I’m not going to lie I did get a little nervous about the whereabouts of the location. As soon as I saw the little piece of empty beach I knew we had made the right decision. We were greeted upon arrival by other guest staying at the neighboring palapas. The place was clean and had plenty of basic supplies like toilet paper, towels, soap, dishes and anything you might find in a small apartment. There is a town called Chimo you can access by hike, it took us about 1 hour and was definitely worth it. The view was amazing and in the middle of the hike there is another beach much more secluded. Once we reached the town we were able to buy groceries and eat at a local restaurant. The food at the restaurant was delicious and fresh, we had plenty of shrimp and fish. If you are looking for a place to relax and get away from your day to day routine this is the place to go. Our days consisted of lying on the beach for hours. You can watch the sunset from the spacious living room overlooking the ocean. There is a guy who lives onsite who was very helpful when any issues came up. The place is very quiet and overall seemed very safe. There is a restaurant next to the palapas that only operates when requested; the chef sold us fresh shrimp and fish that we prepared ourselves. We had one little issue with the hot water but the owners were notified and it was taken care of. Overall our stay was wonderful and seven days was not enough to truly enjoy the beauty the place has to offer. I came back to my routine refreshed and very content counting the days we can make it back to Los Chonchos.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for spending your vacation at our Mexico retreat. We appreciate your kind words and look forward to having you as a guest again. Debbie and Dennis

Everything about this experience was wonderful! Your adventure begins with an exhilarating boat ride (via water taxi) from Boca de Tomatlan. The surroundings are beautiful and you'll want to bring your camera as it is an experience like nothing else. The water taxi delivered us right to our beach, where we were promptly greeted and all our bags swiftly carried to our palapa. Casa Blanca is beautiful, and looks exactly like the pictures, only better! Everything is run on solar power or propane so you have all amenities you need, including stove, refrigerator, freezer, sink, toilet and shower. Even hot water! Only thing you need to bring is food, which we had a hard time finding sufficiently in PV but we enjoyed the walk to Chimo on the 2nd day and were able to find everything we needed there. We enjoyed hiking, sea kayaking, seashell collecting, swimming, sunbathing, and just relaxing on the patio watching the iguanas and whales. Gabriel will teach you how to fish if you are interested, and he knows everything about the area so he was wonderful to have close by. I enjoyed a couple shots of breakfast tequila with him on our departure date.:) We stayed 2 nights in Old Town before coming to the palapa, then 4 nights here, and 3 nights at an all-inclusive resort in Nuevo Vallarta after. The palapa was my favorite part of the vacation by far! I can't wait to come back again and stay longer next time! This was my perfect place to stay, and my partner and 10 year old daughter both enjoyed it as well. Thank you so much Debbie for sharing with us your little slice of heaven. From Brook, James, and AlaynaOwner response: Hi Brook, We enjoy sharing our property with lovely people like you. Casa Blanca is a remote and beautiful destination for people that enjoy a bit of adventure and the bliss of tranquility on the pristine beaches and beautiful waters of Bandaras Bay. Thank you for staying with us and being terrific guests. Hope you come back next year. Debbie and Dennis

Thank you for sharing your wonderful home in Mexico; the days were filled with and abundance of peace and many mornings of gazing into the ocean while drinking coffee. It provided many blissfull moments of complete gratitude. We so enjoyed your palapa and hope to come back again. It provided exactly what we were looking for and some awesome experiences along the way. (we were privy to baby turtles hatching, climbing out of the sand, and being rescued from the birds.) Thanks again Debbie we hope to be back in the future! Marsha & JimRecommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Hi Marsha, So happy to hear that you had a great vacation, take care, be well and come back next time you are in need of some R and R. Thank you for your feedback. Debbie

I have traveled all over the world for business and pleasure and found this place to be a bit of heaven. The bedroom overlooking the ocean allowed for me to snooze to the sounds of the ocean and waves. The palapa and the area are so warm and welcoming. The fact that you have your own chef allows for even more relaxation as you don't have to worry about shopping or meals. You are secluded but yet you are not alone. There is always something to do - from snorkeling to whale watching, to relaxing on the beach to hiking through the native area. I will not hesitate to come back here. Neither should you :)Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Hi Denise, Thank you for sharing your feelings about Casa Blanca and your lovely vacation at Marselva. Sincerely, Debbie and Dennis

I LOVE HERE!! I never wanted to leave! The sights and sounds of nature are like NO other! (I never missed technology once.) I slept inside the beautiful bedroom as well as spending many a night in a screen tent on the palapa deck. (I think I like under the moon and stars.) The palapa itself is just the most welcoming place. So cute, comfortable and inviting. PERFECT Mexican vacation spot! It's a great place to hang out with people you love and just: Kick it, cook food, lay around, read a book, play a game, drink and eat the nectarous tastes of the Native land, play in the water, explore the lucious jungle, go for a hike in the coconut grove, spearfish, snorkle, lay on little beach (or big beach:), mingle with the occasional 'other' palapa resident you may pass by on the private 25 acres. People are sparse there; however every person I met was so interesting and cool in thier own way and I am still in contact with many of them. You will see whales, Dolphins, flying fish, floating cities, things you've never seen, I promise! I have traveled in many parts of the world, this is HANDS DOWN a place I will return to! Don't hesitate, Book it today!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
