Grand Caribe is a beautiful, modern, luxury, seaside resort located on the serene north end of Ambergris Caye approximately 2 miles from the quaint little town of San Pedro.
Grand Caribe consists of 8 individual buildings with 9 condos in each building in a semi-circle giving each unit a panoramic view of the world's 2nd largest barrier reef. The grounds are well maintained and include 3 pools, one being the largest in Belize.
There is a bar and grill poolside, which also features a swim up bar, for those days where relaxation is on the menu.
If you're up for some adventure, you can snorkel at the pier or kayak out to the reef. You can also book a snorkel trip to Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Shark Ray Alley. The Blue Hole is a world famous destination for both divers and snorkelers. Book a 1/2 or full day fishing trip with a beach bar-b-que where you can enjoy your catch cooked by your captain on the beach.
You can also book a tour to the mainland to see the Mayan Ruins and/or go cave tubing and zip-lining through the rainforest.
Once back at our condo, you can enjoy the amenities of a fully furnished kitchen or have room service from the pool bar and grill. The option is also there to simply have a drink on the balcony and admire the view of the Caribbean's turquoise waters.
Our second floor, 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit is 1500sq.ft. of bright, tropical, tastefully done decor. All furnishings are Belizean made with a custom built TV/entertainment center with hand carved palm trees.
Local artists provide great wall decor including a large underwater reef scene in the dining area and a scene from front street of San Pedro in the kitchen.
Our unit has room darkening curtains for your privacy or if you just want to sleep in in the morning. We do get early morning sun but by mid day the balcony is nicely shaded for your relaxation.
Transportation on the island is mainly by golf cart. Bikes are also available for rent. A complimentary taxi to and from San Pedro airstrip to our condo upon arrival and departure is included.

This was a great condo for a family with 2 kids. The twin beds made bedtime so much easier than having to share a queen. The pools and hot tubs on the resort were wonderful, with plenty of space for everyone to play or relax. An easy golf-cart ride to many places for dinner or lunch and breakfast in the condo made for relaxing mornings. Loved the daily housekeeping and laundry service.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.

I don't have a bad thing to say about this property. The rental itself was just like the pictures- modern and very clean when we arrived. The staff was extremely helpful right from the initial booking and throughout our stay. There was lots of security on site making this a great place for a family with younger children to relax. I would recommend booking adventures and golf carts through the resort. You may save $20 on a weekly golf cart rental booking it yourself but it is not worth the hassle.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

absolute great condo with all the luxuries of a top hotel but the feel of home. The resort is beautiful and well located within a bike ride distance to town. We absolutely loved spending time lounging by the pool and on the beach. The staff was exceptionally helpful. If you are looking for a relaxing and luxurious place, this is definitely the place to be.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Just got back from a week at Grand Caribe with my family. We stayed in unit F6 and it was absolutely fantastic. Very clean, well stocked, upscale, and comfortable. The condo was excellent as were the grounds. Really liked the swim up bar and the restaurant at the yoga resort next door (Akbol). We had several different Belizean dishes and they were all very good and reasonably priced (especially compared to other restaurants and groceries). Diving on the barrier reef with Ecologic Divers was excellent. Snorkeling at Hol Chan Marine Reserve is a must do activity. Took a day trip to the mainland and tried zip lining and cave tubing -- both were really fun. Will definitely visit this resort again. The locals were very friendly and helpful. Laid back atmosphere in the town of San Pedro. Can't go wrong with this property.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

Exceeded our expectations! Amazing luxury condo, new and extremely clean, pool and grounds are gorgeous. Condo furnishings are 5 star, kitchen has everything a chef could dream of, crock pot, rice steamer, blender , coffee maker, toaster oven, double ovens, and on and on! The owner, Cindy, makes the booking process friendly and hassle free. She was wonderful to talk to on the phone and gave us lots of tips on AC. The location is perfect, just a short walk or fast bike ride to town, where you DONT want to stay, dirty and loud! Nice to pop into experience culture and get supplies, but not a place to relax. Three flat screen tvs, DVD players, iPod docks, fantastic view from terrace and from master bed. Staff aims to please. You won't regreat this unit! Our family stayed here for a week in June 2011 and had an amazing time. Everything was more than what we imagined. The accomodations were spacious and very clean with plenty of sleeping room. This would be a perfect destination for 2 or 3 couples to go and unwind and have fun. All the staff was friendly and helpful especially at the Footprints Grille. After one excursion we brought our catch of the day back and they prepared it for us, Belizian style (AWESOME). Snorkeling out at the reef was unimaginable; we saw moray eels, eagle rays, sea turtles, lobsters and an abundance of tropical fish. The view from the condo is breathtaking, words cannot describe. We can't wait to go back.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed in this condo for ten days in August. We loved the Caribbean decor, with the bright walls and local artwork. The view is absolutely beautiful. You have a perfect view of the barrier reef from the balcony, as well as the beautiful pool down below. The amenities are first class. All of the countertops are granite, the showers are huge, and the rooms are large and comfortable. We would definitely recommend this condo!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We spent three weeks in July in this condo at Grand Caribe. The views are simply breathtaking. The condo is decorated with an island feel with all the amenities of home. The owner has spared no expense when it comes to luxury. The kitchen has beautiful granite. You could sit on the porch and all the worries of the world seem to fade watching the gorgeous sunsets. The staff at the resort are there to answer any questions you may have. My husband and I loved to sit by the bar, enjoy the good food, and watch our children play in the Carribean.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
