Loreto house description
My home (casa) in Loreto Bay is part of an upscale sustainable development located along the beautiful Sea of Cortez. The casa has two floors. The lower floor contains the kitchen, dining room, living room, bathroom as well as a bedroom with a king bed. The couch in the living room folds out to provide a bed for another guest or two. The bathroom features two hand-painted sinks, a walk-in shower, oversized tub and toilet. Inside the entryway on the lower floor is a garden featuring a small fountain open to the sky. The second floor contains another master bedroom with a king bed and bathroom with all of the same amenities as the lower floor. Outside the upstairs master suite is a patio with views of the ocean, the mountains and an amazing night sky. It is the perfect place to enjoy a refreshing margarita, a bottle of wine and the view! A washer and dryer are available in the casa should you need to do laundry. Check out the photos to see this great house in an amazing setting!
The Inn at Loreto Bay is a five minute walk along the beach. There you can enjoy the restaurants, pool, fitness center and more. If you enjoy fishing, snorkeling, kayaking, scuba diving or the sea life in general; you'll love spending time in Loreto! Within the Loreto Bay neighborhood is a championship golf course, tennis center and a store with food and other supplies.

Not suitable for our needs
We found that the condo did not meet our needs for a bright living room condo with a BBQ grill and comfortable patio furniture for 4 people. The location was ideal. Wonderful golf course and pools. But can't swim in February in the sea of Cortez.

This property is as it appears in photos and was a wonderful place to stay. We will be back. The village of Nopolo is a perfect place for people who like the sunny outdoors - 80 to 90 degrees in April with cool evenings. The village is 5 km south of the airport which is 5 km south of the village of Loreto. We kayaked, hiked, snorkeled, sailed and generally had a fantastic time. The golf course is amazing and we don't golf! This condo is lovely ... perfect for two couples. There is a comfy veranda upstairs and a nice "courtyard entry". The home is furnished comfortably with adequate dinnerware and utensils for cooking. If you like to cook gourmet meals this home is not set up with utensils/pots & pans for that but it is totally adequate for the meal preparation that we engage in while on vacation. Renting a car for at least a day or two is a must. Taxi service is expensive ($20 US per person to Loreto). Car rental is about $50-80/day depending on size - reserve a few days in advance - FOX has an office in Nopolo. Or Alamo is in Loreto. There is a shuttle service on Friday and Saturday - leaves at 6 pm and returns to Nopolo at 9 pm with reservations at a participating restaurant in the town of Loreto. Nopolo does not have a grocer, but the Pescadora grocer in Loreto is well stocked. On Sunday the local farmers market has fantastic fresh produce along with a "flea Market" with anything and everything imaginable. A trip to the island of Coronodo from one of the local boat tour services in Loreto is a must do if you like whale watching, dolphin chasing and mingling on the island with wonderfully friendly local residents (@ $70 for 6 hours). I hear snorkeling & fishing is great at the island too. While there are many fantastic restaurants in Loreto, Nopolo's options for dinner are limited but wonderful and are great places to meet interesting people. The local "Wine Bar" has a small menu of very tasty food and wonderful wines as well as drinks. La Cordon is owned by an interesting couple, Norma and Kieren, and has great Mexican food with a bar menu to match. There is also a perfect morning spot, La Corazon, with wonderful pastries, fruit smoothies, coffee drinks and space to meet with friends to start the day. Other activities include tequila tasting, massage, and tension releasing yoga - to mention a few! Overall, people are incredibly friendly. We will be back. This was a wonderfully rejuvenating vacation.

Manager response: So glad to hear these guests had a wonderful visit and enjoyed many of the local activities!
We really enjoyed our vacation in Loreto Bay. The home was very clean and in an excellent location, close to the beach and to the hotel amenities. The management company was extremely helpful. We took advantage of the pool, kayaking and snorkeling too. Bill caught yellowtail, which we enjoyed for at least 5 nights of our stay. We would definitely go again!

Manager response: It is great to hear that this couple enjoyed their visit to Loreto Bay and were able to enjoy many of the local activities. I always find the snorkeling at the point near the home to be really nice so I'm glad they were able to check out the sea life. Should they decide to return to Loreto Bay, I would love to have them in my home again.

I am a writer and I wanted a place to occasionally get away and write. Loreto Bay offered a sustainable community with an amazing community plan in a beautiful location. One of my passions is scuba diving and the Sea of Cortez in Loreto offers a wide variety of marine life from tiny seahorses to giant whales.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
I always try to get in a few dives while in Loreto. Even if there isn't time to dive, there is great snorkeling around the point (about a five minute walk along the beach). I've also enjoyed kayaking in the estuarys and visiting some of the nearby towns.
