Tahoe City house description
Pole Creek, named for its incredible location where Pole Creek and the Truckee River meet, allows guests to escape the hustle and bustle of the world. Just a few miles away from Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows Ski Resort; it’s the perfect place to begin a ski adventure in the winter and a relaxing spot for enjoying the beautiful mountains and serenity of the river in the summer.
The layout and size of this home makes it the perfect hideaway, accommodating up to 4 people. The cabin has two bedrooms both located upstairs, one with a king bed and the other a queen bed. There are two full baths as well, one upstairs that is shared between the bedrooms and the other located downstairs. The living room has large, plush leather furniture, perfect for curling up on in front of the stone fireplace. This space also opens to two separate lounging areas that overlook the river, one of which holds a fire pit and propane grill and the other a private hot tub, a relaxing way to spend a Tahoe evening.
Pole Creek is equipped wireless Internet, home telephone service, and a flat screen TV with DVD player.
Despite feeling as if you have left the world behind, with a location conveniently located between Truckee and Tahoe City, guests are never far from the conveniences of town and all of the activities that Lake Tahoe is known for. In fact, during Tahoe’s warmer months, you will have easy access to rafting/tubing the Truckee River, hiking or biking one of Tahoe’s many trails, horseback riding, golfing, kayaking, parasailing, and shopping in Historic Truckee or quaint downtown Tahoe City.
During the winter months, you will be just a few minutes away from World-renowned ski resorts including Squaw Valley (home of the 1960 Olympics) and Alpine Meadows, both a short 5-10 minute drive from the house. You can also enjoy one of the many snowshoe trails, snowmobile tours, sledding, ice-skating, and dog-sledding programs available nearby.
At night, you can head into town and enjoy one of the many great restaurants and bars Tahoe City and Truckee have to offer.
For extended summer and winter activities, as well as important telephone numbers, we provide a guidebook in the house.
