Location: Other Gulf Shores Properties, Gulf Shores, Alabama, USA (2 miles west of the "T", right on the beach road) View Map
Accommodations: House, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 3 Baths (Sleeps 6-8)
Keywords: Townhouse
When we have free time, we love to come to our comfortable, roomy, beautiful 1425 square foot beach townhouse, El Sea, located right on the main beach road with its enticing Gulf view and beach access across the street and the water only 500 feet from you. There are Andersen French doors to both decks, and gorgeous tile floors throughout the house! We have 2 new sofas including a sleeper, and a recliner in the living room as of January, 2010!
Quiet, bright, clean and cheerfully decorated in a beachy theme, it is conveniently located to the hub of Gulf Shores activities (2.2 miles west of the T ), without being TOO close! As one of our guests recently told me, THIS IS NOT A RENTAL, THIS IS A HOME!
Many renters have commented that they are surprised at how much NICER it is than the pictures show! El Sea is a great change from the big, noisy condo environment! The only neighbors you MIGHT have are next door if that unit happens to be rented, and your deck privacy is protected by a dividing wall.
Watch and listen to the surf while you enjoy your morning coffee. Gaze at the gorgeous view from either the large lower deck with swing and commercial grade loungers, or your private upper deck off the master suite, also with loungers.
El Sea is located where there are NO big highrise condos to block your view (nothing but beach houses) and a vacant lot directly next door to improve your privacy. This part of Gulf Shores is MUCH less congested with traffic and people. The beach is uncrowded and you can plant yourself almost anywhere on the beach and soak up the rays (carefully) without annoyance or commotion!
This home is fully furnished with all the amenities of home and full baths for each bedroom. There are beautiful porcelain tile floors in the entire house! The main living area is open and bright. There is a 32 inch TV, Dish TV and a DVD player with some movies.
The kitchen is so fully equipped to the point where our Wisconsin snowbirds told me that they have rented many places in Gulf Shores, and our kitchen was so completely furnished that they didn't need to get anything for it!
The Master suite features a king size bed with a skylight and French door access to upper deck. A 27 inch TV and Dish TV are there. The second upstairs bedroom has a full sized bed plus a TV. The first floor bedroom has a full sized bed and TV.
The living room has a new sleeper sofa for the "overflow".
MAXIMUM OVERNIGHT SLEEPING LIMITED TO EIGHT including the sleeper sofa in the living room!! A surcharge will apply for any overage and must be approved before arrival! There is covered parking for 2 cars with outside space for about 4 others, and a sheltered entry.
Please click on the link at the bottom of the page to see other photos and information on my web page, including an available 2/2
7 year old gulf front condo. Minimum rental age 25.
Please note that August rates are MORE than $875 and taper to the lower rate in early Fall.

We had an excellent time and the house was great. More than enough room for everyone (we had 5 people) and it was close to everything we wanted to do. The owner was very helpful and was great to work with. I will definitely be looking to rent this place again.

We stayed the last wk of June 2011 and let me tell you the pictures must be of another townhouse. The lower room can not be accessed from the main rooms unless you go outside and it stunk of mold and mildew and the fridge down there had orange juice left in it from a previous customer and it was moldy. The bunkbed mattresses were stained and nasty. The sheet in the room off the kitchen were filthy and had to be washed before anyone could sleep in it. You couldn't touch the vertical blinds without one falling off.
Owner response:This guest is mad at me because her party broke 7 vertical blinds and were charged for them...they are the exact same blinds everyone else uses without breaking them off! Also, the lower room is clearly advertised as a seperate outside entrance. I have the same housekeeper I've had for 4 years...no other complaints here...need I say more?

Our family has stayed at El Sea the first week of April the past two years -2006, 2007. We have been to Gulf Shores many years, stayed in many different rentals, and this is by far the best value for the money. Larry is a wonderful host. I haven't commented before because I am selfish and would not someone else to rent when we want to go!

We rented El Sea for Spring/Easter Break, the place was Fantastic!! It had everything we could have needed and more. There were six girls staying there so we especially enjoyed the bachelor party staying across the street! We had the beach to ourselves, very private and just a short walk from the house. Thanks for everything El Sea, we will definitely be back!

We travelled from the UK to stay at El Sea. The house and facilities were fantastic. Gulf Shores was a great place. Unfortunately for us we also had an unwelcome guest in Ivan so we had to beat a hasty retreat half way through our stay. Larry was terrific throughout our stay - the perfect host. I can definitely recommend El Sea - it was just a pity that we had to leave so early. You will not find any comments from us in the guestbook at the house as we didn't have time to write any. If you are looking for a relaxing (hurricanes permitting) and well equipped beach house, look no further.

8-19-04 We stayed at El Sea the week of Aug. 6th-13th and enjoyed it very much. It was our first vacation with our two year old grandchild and the time we spent together will always be remembered. The house was very nice, clean and comfortable. The location was very desirable and had easy access to the beach. The three bedrooms and three baths as well as the downstairs bunk room make for a very relaxing and accomodating stay. We had a total of six adults and a two year old and we were all very comfortable at El Sea. I would highly recommend this beach house. Diana McClelland La.

Our family had a wonderful stay at EL Sea and Gulf Shores. Four generations of family loved the beach, home and relaxation. The house was more than we could ask for and had everything we needed. I would recommend El Sea to anyone looking for a home that is clean, roomie and located wonderfully away from the bustle of the other beach areas.

My husband and I, and our 5 kids (15 through 26) all absolutely enjoyed our stay at El Sea. The pictures on the website do not do justice, as the place was so much more than we could have hoped for. Every room is decorated in a wonderful beach house theme. From beautiful scenic borders in every room, as well as wallpaper in the three bathrooms, not to mention the decorative light switches in every room to the many beautiful wall hangings and pictures. The kitchen was so well stocked with dishes, silverwear, cooking utensils, pots, pans, and so much more. Every room had a ceiling fan, and the master bedroom was so great. One afternoon I took a bubble-bath in the large round tub, something I haven't done in years. We spent our mornings drinking coffee on the deck off the master bedroom and our evenings on the large front deck where there was always a beautiful cool breeze. The whole place was so open and airy. The short walk across the street to the beach was great, I liked it so much more than being directly on the beach, which was busy. We all quickly developed a routine. This was the first vacation in a long time that we weren't ready to leave, we could have spent just a few more days. When I got back to work on Monday, I was so very well rested. We will definitely return one day and will recommend the place to family and friends. Stay here and you won't be sorry. Barbara & Rick Engelhard

We had a great time at El Sea. The house is beautiful and the price is great as well. We had the beach practically to ourselves. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone I know.
