We were so lucky to have found Lazy Bear cabin and even luckier that it is being shared with people outside the family. It is such a warm and cozy cabin and anything you could possibly need was provided-- truly a home away from home. The owners had everything so well organized and were a delight to deal with. We loved exploring the area, eating out, hiking, and of course relaxing in the hot tub. If you are looking for an enjoyable vacation where you can rest and recharge, Lazy Bear is it.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

My husband and I spent a week at this wonderful home, We found the house to be incredibly clean, well stocked, comfortable and it had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We enjoyed spending the mornings on the deck with coffee listening to the river and the evenings soaking in the hot tub. We have stayed at many VRBO rentals and this by far had any little extra you would need to make for a enjoyable vacation. We would definitely like to return to Pagosa Springs and stay at Lazy Bear again.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

Thank you for opening up The lazy Bear us to enjoy. Your cabin/home is perfect in so many ways, but what was important for us was just getting away & relaxing. We didn't even turn on the television! The beds made for restful nights of sleep, with sounds of the San Juan River creating peaceful background noise. We managed to get away & made a couple of great hikes in the area. No one should miss the drive up to Williams Reservoir or the hike to Three Mile Falls. Thanks again for your hospitality & we hope to come back in the futureRecommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

Our second stay at the lazy bear, and loved it just as much as we did the first time. We are already discussing our return trip next year. The Lazy Bear has worked its way in as a mandatory destination requirement by our family for our yearly ski vacation. Skiing Wolf Creek is awesome, and relaxing at the Lazy Bear after a great day of skiing is even better!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

My family and I stayed at the Lazy Bear over Thanksgiving. It is just as awesome and comfortable as the pictures depict. It was the closest to Wolf Creek rental available and just 5 minutes to get to the shops and stores in Pagosa Springs. The cabin is cozy yet spacious with every amenity you could need as far as kitchen items, movies, games. Things we loved....HOT TUB, views of the river, individual thermostats in each bedroom, well insulated garage to park your cars in so they are not freezing in the morning or covered in snow. The Beach's keep you well informed and make every effort to make you feel like a guest in their home. My only reservation about recommending this property is someone might reserve it when we want to go back! You can tell the owners took pride in decorating and maintaining the home. We will be back for sure! Thank you for sharing your little slice of heaven with us.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

What a lovely, relaxing place to stay for 4 days. My sister and I had so much fun. We explored the neighborhood, with walks everyday. Sitting in the hot tub at night, watching the fire with a full moon dancing on the river. The peace level was incredible. We had so many plans to explore elsewhere but could never bring ourselves to leave the cabin to go into town. I think we left once for a short hike and a trip to the store for supplies. The cabin decor was beautiful. We sat on the deck drinking our coffee, watching the birds and we just know it was a beaver swimming past us one morning. I highly recommend staying here for a vacation you'll always remember. Thanks for sharing your home with us Andrea and Allen. Also loved reading your " Be a Wolf". Thanks for sharing.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

Of all the vacation rentals we've experienced, this has to be overall the best. It was cozy, clean and unbelievable well stocked. Everything from fingernail polish remover to shaving cream. Kitchen essentials, basic medicines, family DVDs, games, comfy beds, blankets...really, nothing was lacking. The hammock by the river was the ideal place for an afternoon nap. This was our first time to Pagosa, and the people were very friendly. The neighborhood where the Lazy Bear is located is small, well kept and far enough away from town to feel secluded, yet close enough for a run into town for a milkshake. If we return to Pagosa, we'll definitely try to book the Lazy Bear. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin with us. We stayed at the Lazy Bear the week of March 20th, 2011 and had a fabulous stay. The cabin was meticulously decorated and incredibly comfortable. We loved sitting in the hot tub at the end of the day and listening to the San Juan River rushing by. We hit the Hot Springs in Pagosa and skied Wolf Creek two days. It was an easy drive both to the ski area and into town. We enjoyed playing games, watching movies, making dinners and just getting away. Thanks so much to Allen and Andrea for opening up their beautiful home to us. We would definitely make a return visit. Thanks! We Stayed 4 nights @ the Lazy Bear Cabin for our family vacation the second week of March 2011. This place was more than we ever expected. This cabin has everything you need. It's a beautiful location right on the San Juan River and the cabin is fantastic! My 3 year old loved the Bear decor, and really loved taking naps in the bunk bed room. We had great days skiing @ Wolf Creek, fun nights sitting by the outdoor fire pit, and wonderful mornings drinking coffee watching the sun come up over the mountains. We can't wait to go back next year, and are already laying out preliminary plans so we can get it booked to stay longer this time.Recommended for: Families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

My family and I stayed at the Lazy Bear the first week of March 2011. The cabin exceeded our expectations. We were so comfortable there. There happened to still be a lot of fresh snow, so the views of the San Juan River (right in the backyard) and the trees were awesome. We hope to make this our annual retreat, and can't wait to visit Pagosa Springs again.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.
