Our two-story oceanfront home has views from every room and tropical breeze flowing from roof top cupola through every window and door. The main living area is upstairs with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. There are two master suites one with a queen bed and one with a king. The third bedroom has a king bed and the fourth three twin beds. The downstairs has an outside living and dinning area poolside with a barbecue. There is also a large poolside room with an adjacent bathroom, that is a relaxing place to read or rest and can be used as an additional sleeping area. (Futons are available at the house.) The house sits on the cliffs overlooking the ocean and affords beautiful views of the humpback whale migration in the winter, occasional hawaiian monk seals and year round dolphins and turtles. The infinity edge pool brings the Pacific Ocean right into our yard.

Wow, what a spectacular beach house! The pictures just don't do it justice. A gem of a find! The house is laid out so comfortably and so relaxing we never felt the need to leave! The views are amazing and there was many whales everyday for us to see. The house is stocked with everything we could possibly need and then some! The ride down the hill is windy and narrow and every bit worth the trip! You are so close to the ocean that you can hear the waves at night so peaceful. We didn't leave the house much but we did go to the Place of Refuge a must see and so was the Milolii black sand beach which is about a 10 minute easy hike at the end of Milolii road. But what we really recommend is just sitting back, relax and enjoy an awesome beach house! The owners were so nice and friendly and very helpful with our questions about the house. Thanks to the owners for making our dream vacation the best ever!

This beach house was definitely a gem of a find! The house is just lovely and laid out very comfortably. The views are amazing and there were whales almost everyday. Once there we couldn't bring ourselves to leave much it was just too nice laying by the pool and enjoying this great beach house! Coming down the hill is a bit overwhelming the first time but well worth the trip! The house was everything we wanted and more! It is beautiful inside and out and the four of us enjoyed every minute there and hated to leave. The sound of the ocean at night could be hear from the bedrooms so it was a treat to go to sleep every night to the sound of the surf. The house was also very well stocked with everything we could possibly need and more. The owners were very nice and informative and friendly.

The home was better than the pictures could capture. We were all torn between swimming in the pool, and sitting on the lanai. The views went on for miles, and the sound of the surf was incredible. We stayed 8 days, and the best days of all were when we chose to stay at the house. The owners came by twice in the most friendliest of ways to check on us, and each time, we are sure he was tired of hearing how nice the house was. There was 6 of us, and there could have been more. We had plenty of room. The house was incredibly clean and maintained. The drive up the hill wasn't too bad, and the views it afforded were incredible. We know where we will stay the next time we go to the big island.

Owner response: We are always so happy to know that our guests enjoy The Cove as much as we do. The house sits in a very special location on the cliffs and affords us the close connection with the ocean for snorkeling and sunset watching, that we love We feel very fortunate to have such a great place to spend our weekends.

This one was of the most beautiful homes I have stayed on the Big Island of Hawaii. The House was perfect, fully stocked with the common ammenities that you would need to enjoy yourself. Lets start with the bedrooms. All the beds were purely comfortable with a nice breeze the blew throw the night to keep it cool and comfortable. The Kitchen was stocked and ready to use with all the space you will for you and your family to enjoy. The living room.... well I dont really know too much about the living room since we spent most of our time on the lanai enjoying the scenery and in the pool. But from what I seen it looked very soft and comfortable. Now to the down stairs and outdoor area. THere was plenty to do during the afternoon with the ping pong table and a lot of seating that the family and friends basically lived outside. Next the pool was always cool in the afternoon and warm enough at night to take a mid night dip. The Jacuzzi was always ready to be occupied and enjoyed. We litarally stayed there all day. Just plan ahead and get all your food and drinks before going down the hill. Its a beautiful view on the way down, so driver pay attention to the road, its a long way down... hahaha. I would definately stay here again and again and recommend this home to everyone thats whats a get away from the hussle and bussle of the world around. You could even walk down the laba rocks and enjoy the ocean with all its thousands of fish. MAHALO NUI for everything and great ALOHA. The Hernandez Ohana and friends.

I don't usually write reviews but I though that this house warrented it. We stayed here with 9 adults and a 3 year old in January. The pictures really don't do this house justice...it is gorgeous. The blowhole just below the deck is wonderful to watch. We saw whales on multiple days and a dolphin one day. The hottub is wonderful and so is the pool. The pool temperature was chilly, but we still swam in it. The black sand beach that you drive to the parking lot, and then walk to the beach is wonderful and secluded. I wish we had gone there sooner in our trip instead of towards the end. I do have to say that if you plan to do activites in Kona on a daily basis, the drive to and from gets old really fast, but if you plan on staying put and relaxing this house is wonderful. We also went to the green sand beach. We walked the entire way from the parking lot, (if i had to do it over again, i would pay one of the locals there to drive). I would highly recommend this house if you don't want to be in Kona on a daily basis.

This house is absolutely stunning ... the pictures do not do it justice. The sound of the ocean, the views, the pool area almost kept us from leaving to actually explore the island during our stay. I can't say enough about how brilliant this house is ... the attention to detail is spectacular. If you had to design the perfect house ... this would would be it. Based on how I'm gushing, I swear I'm not related to the Swifts and the Fullers but they too are fantastic ! We had a minor issue with the refrigerator but they were on it immediately, resolved it and went above and beyond to ensure we were happy. We took all their suggestions on places to go and eat and they were spot on ! We cannot wait to come back again someday and when we do you better believe we will stay at the Cove at Milolii ! ! !

We just stayed here with a group of ten friends for a weeks stay. As soon as we arrived we were amazed. The house was beautiful and so comfortable. Everything was provided and the owners were incredibly easy to rent from. They check in to see if everything is going o.k for your stay which we appreciated. The views were stellar and you can go snorkeling right out in the front as well as see dolphins swimming out in the distance. We had a hard time leaving to go do activities because the house was so comfortable and fun. We would recommend anyone to stay here it is worth it! Thank you Craig and Melanie!

We booked this property for two weeks, intending to use it as a home base to explore the Big Island. Our plans changed immediately upon arrival at the house - what a beautiful property! We spent most days around the pool, in the hot tub or on the lanai, listening to the ocean, spotting the dolphins and whales, looking at the superb sunsets, etc, etc. Friends from Oahu visited for a few days, and they also didn't want to leave! Best and most relaxing vacation we've ever had - what a wonderful place! This property is not to be missed! This is also an ideal location from which to explore the island - only about an hour from Volcanoes and MUCH closer to the green sand and black sand beaches, and Hilo, than if you stay in Kona. Plus, it is only 9 miles from Ocean View, with groceries, gas, etc that are so much less expensive than in Kona. What more can you ask for? Well, the house has everything you need, just like your own home or better. You only need to purchase perishable food for your stay. Better yet, the owners of this property are probably the nicest people you'll ever meet. They will ensure that your stay is problem-free, but in a very inconspicuous manner. But if you miss the opportunity to meet them - you will miss a lot! They can direct you to places on the island that books and websites cannot. Plus, John and Vicki's Kona coffee farm is NOT to be missed! Will we return? Absolutely! We only booked 2 weeks for this vacation; next time, it will be at least a month.

We stayed in this home for our wedding/honeymoon and were just amazed at the views and the peace and tranquility that we had while in this home. It was truly our home away from home while we were in Hawaii. The home owners are amazing and the pictures do not do it justice. I made my husband promise that we'd come back. I am so grateful that these two couples have opened up this beautiful home to us for a little over a week. You won't regret staying here. The drive from Kona is a bit daunting the first time and in the dark, but if you want to get away from the touristy part of HI this is a perfect destination. The owners were so kind as to help our friends get flowers delivered for our wedding day and even gave us a gift of wonderful champagne. Kind hearts and a beautiful home... I just can't say enough about how much we loved The Cove.

About the owner: We are Craig and Melanie Fuller and John and Vicki Swift. We all moved to the Big Island in the 70's from different locations on the mainland, met and became friends. Craig is an IT coordinator, Melanie is a nurse, John is a retired fireman and Vicki is an organic coffee farmer. After forty years of friendship we started this project together and have worked to build a beautiful and relaxing home on the ocean which we look forward to sharing with you.

              Why the Owner Chose Milolii:
We live on farms in the subtropical ohia forest up mountain from Milolii and have spent many weekends and summer days swimming fishing and enjoying the ocean at Milolii. We are very gratified to be able to have a home on the ocean where we can continue to enjoy the all the activities and beauty the ocean has to offer.

The Unique Benefits at this House:
Milolii is far from the crowds and noise of city life. We enjoy peaceful walks and the pleasure of time with family and friends. Waking up to the sunrise over the mountain with a cup of organic Kona coffee is a pleasure we look forward to whenever we can get away to Milolii.
