  When arriving to the house we noticed that it was fully stocked with everything that we needed even beach toys for the kids. I couldn't believe that we didn't have 2 go directly to the store as soon as we arrived at the home. The back yard is like your own little peace of paradise where I would start off the morning by putting the crab traps in right off the dock. Going right down the street to the beautiful ocean then come back home take a swim then nap in the hammock around all the beautiful fruit trees. The owner was great with having a binder set up to where you don't have to look far to find what u are looking for, if its not in the book an still have a question the owner was right there to help you. I've stayed at a lot of vacation homes over the years but this one is by far the best one I have stayed at. Thank you Nedra for all your help making this vacation the best. Gray family

  The stay at willow was amazing! It was very relaxing I enjoyed spending my time in the beautiful backyard which had fruit trees, a swimming pool, and even a dock to the bay. It was conviently located close to the beach in walking distance which made everything easier on the trip to the beach. The house even included things to take to the beach from towels all the way to beach toys. The owner even had bicycles for us to enjoy. The inside of the house was very clean, well-maintained, and updated. The house was very kid friendly even include a bunk bedroom for the kids which could easily sleep four kids.The kitchen had everything you needed all the way from very nice utensils to appliances. The kitchen even included a ready hot which made making certain dishes, and even tea a lot easier. The house was well stocked the owner had very nice bath soaps, shampoos, conditioners, and lotions. The owner was also very helpful if I had any questions that needed answer she was just a phone call away.

  AWESOME place to stay in Anna Maria Island !!! The house was very clean and my family enjoyed every second of our stay !!! Plenty of room and so relaxing !!!! I was very impressed with all the nice kitchen everything from utensils to the appliances . The beds were very comfortable everyone slept comfortably !!!! The house had everything you could ask for it was very stocked with everything from towels to toliteries. The back yard is simply breath taking with your own private pool and hot tub ! It was like our own little paradise !!!My family had such an amazing time and we will defiantly be back !!! The owner of the house was so helpful and nice . If we needed any help with anything she was just a phone call away !!! I would defiantly recommend this place to all of my friends and family !!!!!

  When we arrived on the Island we thought how pretty and low key it was, perfect for a peaceful stay which our family was in great need of! To our horror, we arrived to find a house in the throws of construction opposite the house!! As it was the weekend there was no noise and we agreed to see how the noise was, although NOT ideal. The first day of noise was bearable but after that the subsequent 2 days were intolerable to the point they were cutting concrete, deliveries coming and going and permanent drilling, banging and before 8am!!..We couldn't use the beach to escape as one of our party had torn his ligament so we had to endure it. Correspondance with the owner resulted in us leaving the propery half way through the holiday which caused us undue stress in trying to secure another accomodation. The owner did refund us unused dates eventually after argument, however, it is worth pointing out she at no point believed us about the noise, and subsequent emails have been aggressive from her! We pointed out that she should make renters aware of building noise etc to give them the option as to whether they lose their deposit and choose to relocate. What should of been a stress free holiday was far from it! Although the owner did refund us unused days we felt she did not handle the complaint constructively and apportioned the blame onto us by saying no ne else has complained?(1 day of noise is 1 day too much 2 is unacceptable) She even told us we were liers!! To which we were very offended, I mean why would we go to all the trouble to move, which was hassle to us NOT her?Beyond belief!!The property itself has a nice back garden and pool( although no sunbeds you can lie down flat on provided we had to try and hire them!)it was big enough for 4 adults but any more than that would be a squeeze, as only one bathroom to share with 3 rooms! I don't consider the interior to be value for money, apart from the master bedroom, which is huge, the propery is tired and needs some modernisation, and new glasses and crockery, the second bedroom is small, and the spa button didn't work!.....owners have an ethical duty to inform potential renters of any building noise that could ruin renters holidays and show this in a rate reduction if people go ahead and chose to stay. I'm sure others have not had to endure what we did and would rate there stay higher. If the building wasn't going on we would of give it more than 1! A lesson learned about people!

  Owner response: This is a very sad review, and it was posted because she tried to bully me. I had 56 threatening emails from her and I responded to all. I returned her money for her unused days, I refunded her damage deposit. I drove over to see what construction noise she was complaining about and found none. I talked with each neighbor about noise and they had heard none. The home is exactly as pictured, I do have new dishes and glassware and any other kitchen item that you could need ( much more that most rentals) and I am very hurt by this spiteful review. She wanted more money returned to her or she would give me this bad review. Please read all of the honest reviews. I did everything I could to make her stay better, but she did not appreciate it. I gave them a 50.00 gift certificate to the General store, I gave her a very early check in at no charge. She called and complained to the rental company about her beach chairs they rented as well and did not want to pay for them. I don't know what else to say, because I tried to make their stay an enjoyable one. Once I figured out there was nothing I could do, I did give them a refund. There are some people that will never be happy even in paradise. This is very sad, and I am sorry that she felt she had to be dishonest in this review.....I think that since one of their party had an injury, it affected their holiday, not my home, it is exactly as pictured, and I have plenty of honest reviews. I alway try to go the extra mile to make my guests happy!

  This beautiful beach home is a top notch rental! The furnishings are amazing, beds are extremely comfortable, top of the line amenities- better then being at home! Great location, just a small walk down the street to the prettiest part of the beach, shops, and restaurants...thats if you even want to leave the back yard!!! You will feel like you are in a resort, everything is perfectly maintained, private and truly a tropical feel. We will definitely stay here again! We look forward to coming back again soon!!!

  The house was better than the description!!! Very private, walking to beach, sandbar and other restaurants, shops but most of all the hiuse itself is a perfect place to be. Great pool, dock for fishing ,perfect beds, baths and tv for grand kids. Great set up for us grand parents on top floor, parents and kids on main floor...and a man cave on ground level for our 14 yr old grandson!!! This is a sure bet rental wonderful owner easy process and really superb place best we have ever rented on VRBO

  Tipsy Turtle is set along a really quiet avenue off of the main road through the island. This house has everything you could possibly want in buckets. The décor is lovely, fresh and beautifully maintained and all furniture and fittings are of excellent quality (including all linens and towels). Outside one has comfortable sofas and rocking chairs overlooking the superb garden and swimming pool. The garden is a delight with a hammock set amongst a grove of palm trees that just begs an afternoon nap. A short meander and you are on the boat dock, with fish jumping and racoons and ducks swimming by. All of this is within a very short cycle/walk to the beach and slightly longer to the City Pier and beach on the east of the island. There are at least three really good restaurants within a walk, cycle ride or a car trip, all of which we felt had improved over the last year. I cannot praise this house enough.

  Looking out at the back yard feels like you are in a tropical island garden. This property has been very well maintained and was exceptionally clean. There were 6 of us, and there was plenty of room for everyone. The location was perfect too... only a short walk to the amazing white beach or Pine Street shops. I LOVED the back yard with the garden setting, spa and pool. There's also a dock for fishing. It's really a beauty! We would definitely stay here again.

  Nedra You have a truly beautiful house! We very much enjoyed ourselves there and all around Anna Marie Island. [and a great time at Busch Gardens]. We swam in pool, fished off the dock, played games on the beach, jet skied, para sailed – what a great vacation! I hope everyone [including yourselves] enjoy the house as much as we did!   I can't say enough about my stay on Anna Marie, The house was great, beautifully landscaped, quiet, and peaceful. Owners were kind and pleasant to deal with. Supplied with all the info I needed for a great stay. I would highly recomend this place if you need to recharge your batteries.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Anna Marie Island at the Tipsy Turtle. The home and its lavish outdoor surroundings were just perfect. We enjoyed the covenience of the pool and the fishing dock everyday. Nedra was very helpful and prompt about answering any of our concerns. The property was very clean and well maintained. We would definitely stay here again. We took daily walks to Jenny and Jane's cafe a block away for morning coffee, and the Sandbar Restraurant was a short walk of less than 3 blocks. The beach was also a very short walk of less than 2 blocks. Great location.

  Beautiful, clean, well equipped vacation home. There were several nice beach chairs & beach towels that were nicer than most rentals - I packed ours but won't the next time we come! The backyard is wonderful. Our kids could have stayed in the pool the entire vacation and been happy! The beach wagon was fabulous - it hauled chairs, toys, umbrellas, cooler & two kids when they were tired! We really enjoyed the walk to eat at The Rod & Reel and The Sandbar. Those were our favorite places to eat - great quality & reasonably priced. We enjoyed The Fishing Hole (miniature golf) also. The Mote Aquarium wasn't a favorite for our kids, neither was the The Gulf Cafe (for the cost). Wish we could have stayed longer!

  This is truly a piece of paradise! Your home is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The kitchen is fully equipped and the beds are new and very comfortable. The back yard is an oasis with its lush landscaping, pool and hot tub. The neighborhood is quiet and the home is a short walking distance to the beach, free trolley, shops and restaurants. Nedra, the owner is very helpful, friendly and quick to respond to any queries. We had a fabulous vacation.

  We stayed in November of 2011. The home is pretty private! We used the pool and hot tub a lot, even though the temperature in November was a little chilly. My wife and I visited with our two daughters (6 and 9) and our girls loved the home. The home is near the beach, which was nice. We rented a golf cart and our girls really appreciated that, as we used it to go everywhere. We will try to make it back.

  This fantastic beach home with its lush landscaping is truly a tropical paradise. Standing on the porch overlooking the pool & yard is breathtaking. You only need a swimsuit as ALL amenities are provided. The beach-themed interior decor is charming. The impeccable kitchen has every appliance needed. There are bikes to explore the island and beach toys and chairs to relax and enjoy the beautiful Gulf waters. The Gulf side of Florida has the best beaches. The home is fully stocked for everyday needs (soap, detergent, cleaners) and there are TWO sets of washers & dryers! Nedra has a binder full of information on local restaurants and attractions. Our family had a wonderful vacation and would return tomorrow if we could! Thanks for a memorable experience!

  Who wouldn't just love this beach house. My family had a wonderful vacation and made great memories. The house was very clean, the pool and garden area was just heaven. I can't think of one thing that we didn't love about this house. We really enjoyed just hanging out by the pool and spending special time together.   We had a fantastic week on AMI! Traveled with four teens and never heard the "B" word. The accommodations were perfect for our crew of six. The Tipsy Turtle is wonderfully located in the middle of everything. All enjoyed the bikes and the beach wagon with all the gear needed for a day at the beach. Also did some fishing in the canal, left the rods & reels for others to enjoy. AMI is a very unique, laid back place to kick back and relax. Will certainly recommend to family and friends. The back yard paradise with pool/spa & hammock were a hit as well. Thanks for sharing you slice of heaven with us!

  We stayed here for a week with our whole family and our two grandchildren in March (9 people in all). It is now the middle of June and whenever we see each other, everyone still talks about the fact that this was the best vacation any of us ever had. The house was immaculate and very spacious. Everyone had plenty of privacy and between the two beautiful decks and the pool area there was more than enough entertainment area. The kitchen was fully equiped and the outdoor grill was wonderful. The salt water pool was amazing, we spent most of our time there. I would advise anyone staying here to take advantage of the bikes and tour the island, it is beautiful. Sunsets are amazing. Thank you Nedra and family for sharing your home with us.

  This is a fabulous vacation getaway property with amazing amenties. Everything is top-notch-- salt water pool, secluded hammock, high end kitchen equipment, the list goes on. We did not want to venture out at all. There is lots of room so it would be ideal for two families.

  Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tipsy Turtle. The house was very well equipped with everything you need. The bikes were a great addition for touring the island. We rented a bike seat at Beach Bums, which our grandson enjoyed and in fact cried when we had to return it. The fruit trees in the backyard along with the lovely pots of herbs were a real treat to enjoy fresh. This has been the most beautiful place we have ever rented in Florida. Nedra was also very quick and helpful to respond to any needs or requests. We would highly recommend this lovely home to anyone.

  Tipsy Turtle was everything and more than we expected! The photos did not do it justice - it was more beautiful in reality. It was beautifully clean and very well maintained and had every single thing one could want and more! The house was set in a really quiet cul-de-sac which meant it was very peaceful. Nedra, the owner, rang us after a couple of days just to check we had everything we needed. This was our second visit to Anna Maria Island (the first for only 2 days) and we did all the usual things - walking down City Pier (which has a bar at the end!) and a good place to watch dolphins, cycling to the beach for sundowners, trying not to fall off my bike! We loved the garden and swimming pool and sitting on the boat dock watching ospreys eating fish on the tree top across the waterway. We had dinner at The Waterfront and Sandbar, which were both excellent; and Sign of the Mermaid became a firm favourite (you must not miss their Key Lime Pie). Feeling Swell was a great lunchtime stop. They were all within walking/cycling distance. AMI history museum was very interesting and well worth a visit. The free Trolley service is a must - you can ride the whole length of the island and back for nothing - and it will take your bicycle too. We used it to visit Bridge Street on Holmes Beach as parking can be a problem. We travel worldwide but Anna Maria Island is right up there as one of our favourite destinations.

  What a wonderful vacation we had on Anna Maria Island!!! This vacation home exceeded our expectations. What a treat for the kids to be able to pick fresh citrus and bananas from the trees in the backyard. Being foodies ourselves, we really appreciated the fresh herbs we found in the tropical garden and the upgraded cookware in the kitchen. Our husbands loved the BBQ! The weather was wonderful toward the end of the week in December and the kids had tons of fun in the hottub. Nedra was quick to respond to our needs when the pool needed some maitenance due to a storm before our arrival. The canal was a real treat with the kids trying their luck fishing from the dock. The home was very clean and well cared for. We loved the central location where we could easily walk to the beach or meander to the Sign of the Mermaid for supper. We rang in the New Year on the balcony overlooking the backyard...the kids loved it! Thank you Nedra for being a wealth of information to our families and helping us fall in love with Anna Maria. We'll see you soon, Terri, Mike, Nancy & Michael
