Built in 1945, in the mid of the village, after the second world war by an Italian architect dreaming of a new venture, this small castle, in spite of its huge land and its views, is seated on a hill, surrounded by a river in the mid of las Sierras de Cordoba.
The Sierras de Cordoba are a recreational area and has the reputation to benefit of the third best climate of the world for its high level of oxygen. You are here out of the flat and humid pampa.
The house is located in the 225 years old village of Valle Hermoso at an altitude of 900 meters in the heart of the Punilla Valley at forty five (45) minutes from the Cordoba airport thanksful to the brand new road across the sierra, 25 minutes from the city of Carlos Paz and its hugue lake San Roque, 5 minutes from the touristic town of La Falda and 25 minutes from La Cumbre and its golf court.
It is at walking distance from bakeries, pharmacies, restaurants, the post office, cafés,the museum, the bus station of Valle Hermoso and the old church, the “Capilla de San Antonio” built in 1785.
From the ¨belvedere¨ of the house or from the summit of its tower you will get the greatest view of the magnificent valley and its river limiting the premises.
The house is safe and really private, surrounded by walls and fences far away from the crowd.
Since it is a vacation area many excellent restaurants nearby offer you the legendary low cholesterol Argentinian steak, el “bife chorizo” or the “parrillada” with a variety of delicious local wines.
Shopping here is a pleasure. You can bring back home a hand made wool poncho, sweater or ruana, and local products. Go to watch a Gaucho contest on the Sunday afternoon, a song festival in the next village or just go play golf.

we had the most incredible time and as I was looking to rent this great getaway again this year, I realized I had never put in a review. the owner was great to work with, the town super and a short ride from La Falda which also should not be missed. The town is actually Valle Hermosa and it is, and La Falda is a smokey mountain type vacation paradise. The house, (enormous) yard and pool are wonderful and unique--private beyond belief yet completely accessible. The master bedroom is romantic and rustic, with a great balcony and fireplace. Our two families had a wonderful visit and we cannot say enough about the place. Only comment is if traveling by bus, don´t buy your ticket to Cordoba, as the town is actually about 90 min north.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
