We have just had a wonderful holiday in La Petite Cachet. The views are amazing certainly the view from the swimming pool. The pool house is new and very nice decorated. The main house is a typical holiday home and even it is older it was very clean and also fine decorated. Because the quietness of the environment the sound of the crickets brings up that special holiday feeling. The housekeeper and gardener are very helpfully and friendly, so if you need something gives a call and they are at your service. The first impression of the road is maybe a little bit negative but after a good night sleeping and the first view at the moring, you will not think any more on this.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

What can I say. Beautifully kept villa, very nice fireplace, BBQ, great pool and a terrace with a beautiful view. It's located in a great area; St Tropez and St. Maxime are closeby. But I have to say I spend a lot of time in the pool and playing some tabletennis. Pauline's tips for where to eat or have a drink were very helpfull. I can recommend this place any couple or family looking for a great spacious place to relax or unwindRecommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children.

We stayed at Villa Tara for a long weekend with my wife, our almost 4 years old girl and some friends, to celebrate a "get together again reunion" after a while that we have not seen each others, since we live in different countries. We had a great time: the villa is perfectly located close to the village, where you can find bakeries-boulangerie open even on Sundays, a mini market and all you need for a comfy stay. We enjoyed the good weather and the heated pool, even the pool house, so close and handy for a snack and drinks. We played table tennis under the sun next to the pool and it was fun. The pool chairs are very soft and we relaxed for a while, before barbecuing on a brand new BBQ and enjoyed dinner under the main porch of the main house, just perfect! We recommend the Villa for two families. The bathrooms are well equipped and the kitchen too, we even baked a cake. I certainly would love to be back again soon. Pauline you did a marvellous job! Thanks.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Ci ritorneremo. Grazie Pauline!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, girls getaway.

I stayed there with my wife and four children for the first week in September. The property is beautifully tucked away in the hills with fantastic views. The main house is wonderfully decorated and has a couple of terraces for relaxing or alfresco dining. The entertainment system and wireless internet access proved a big hit with the teenagers. Above the main house is the pool area with another fantastic terrace and a one bedroom house, again beautifully decorated. The property is a great place to relax and recharge the batteries, while only being a few minutes from the main attractions, so allowing for the best of all worlds. Our week there was enjoyed by all, including the difficult teenagers! I'd have no hesitation in recommending this property, its exactly as described and is maintained to a very high standard.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway.
Owner response: We are so glad you and your family enjoyed staying at our hideaway in the hills and look forward to welcoming you back next year!Kind regards Robert and Pauline

We stayed at La Petite Cachette for five nights, all of which were quite lovely. The house is very cozy and the views are truly a highlight. The pool is also a large draw and we found ourselves eating many meals up on the deck by the pool - enjoying the sunset and the views of the surrounding vineyards. We must note that the house is rather remote. If you are hoping to pop around the South of France and especially drive to St. Tropez, it is a bit of a journey on very curvy roads. Additionally, 4-wheel drive is a must, so if you are renting a car, make sure you have it as the house is up a very steep road (and difficult to find if you do not know your way). This house is perfect for family vacations, but I would not recommend it to people that are trying to do a lot of sight-seeing. It is a perfect place to relax and drink delicious French wines from the surrounding area.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you for taking the time to review our retreat in France. We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay and hope to welcome you back some time in the future. Kind regards Robert and Pauline

We spent Easter at La Petite Cachette, and had a wonderful time - the pool was ready and the sun was out. The house is very comfortable, inside, out and up in the pool house: with good beds, proper linen and excellent garden furniture, even around the pool. The house was very clean, too, and the garden pretty and tidy - we spent most of our time on site. When we did go out, the walks from the door were wonderful - wild, unspoilt and wooded - and journey times both to the nearest village and further afield to St Tropez, not to mention the airport, much quicker than we'd expected. We will definitely be back!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for taking the time to review La Petite Cachette. We are so happy you enjoyed your stay and hope to welcome you and your family again in the not too distant future. Kind regards, Robert and Pauline

As other reviews have said this home is everything you want on your vacation. My husband travels for work and like’s 5 star hotels so he was a little apprehensive about a villa rental but we have no regrets after an amazing week at this home. It is tranquil and private but just minutes to a lovely village with great restaurants and bakeries. To go to St Tropez was an easy scenic drive and you were in the hart of the action. One of the things I enjoyed the most was the owner’s recommendations of food and flea markets. She also gave us great restaurant recommendations both in Plan de la tour and St Tropes. If you are looking for a truly French country home as your base for traveling or to stay put for some R&R you will not be disappointed.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

I had the amazing opportunity to rent this spectacular home " La Petite Cachette" December 11-18th, 2010. It was truly everything I imagined a French courtry home to be and more. The 3 bedrooms were very comfortable and well appointed. The 2 full baths & 1 half had all the modern day conveniences, but still kept with the French country feel. The view from the house is beautiful looking down at the valley below. Minutes away from old world charm of the town Plan de la Tour, filled with bakeries and small family run restuarants. Many an evening we just didn't want to leave the peacefulness of this beautiful environment. So, a cook's friendly kitchen allowed us to have meals at home in front of the roaring fire. My next vacation at "La Petite Cachette" will be in the summer months to be have the opportunity to use the pool and the well stocked pool house, also with a fireplace, small kitchen, modern bathroom and an upstairs loft. When we arrived the house was spotless and the owner left a list of the wonderful restuarants to try. I can't wait for my return to this amazing property. Enjoy!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

A wonderfully private location with great views and a luxurious pool. This beautifully decorated and well equipped villa has convinced us this is a location to come back to time and time again! The quaint local village of Plan-de-la-Tour has everything you would want; a sprinkling of bars, cafes, boulangeries, butchers etc in a family friendly setting. The owner has a great understanding of the local area and can make arrangements to allow you to make the most of your stay in the St Tropez area.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.
