First time for me using a website to rent from a private owner and I was pleased with how smoothly things went, the owner Jody was easy to contact through phone/email and after booking sent us an info package with a number of good recommendations - checking in/out was no problem. We really enjoyed the balconies - the pool was absolutely amazing, we spent so much time relaxing either by the pool or in it. Really comfy beds, nicely equipped kitchen, great location - quiet but close enough to main area to walk. Would definitely recommend!

I recently stayed at this property for 10 days during my trip to Jaco. The desription of the property was very accurate. Jody was very helpful sending out pre trip information, and was available to help answer any questions. The Location was 50 paces to the beach, a short walk to town, but very quiet and peaceful at night.The rooftop deck was perfect for your morning coffee or great view of the sunset. I would highly recommend this property.

I had a great time in CR. Thank you so much for all your help. Bahia Azul is a great place to stay, very relaxing and convenient. Fishing was great too. One day I caught 9 sailfish and a 350 lb blue marlin!

We had a great time! The location was perfect - right on the beach. The pool was beautiful. We rented bikes and rode into town for anything we needed. The condo was very clean and comfortable and we enjoyed the balconies and the roof top terrace. We'll be back!

I have stayed at Bahia Azul 4\5 times and in different units on and off since 2008. This unit in my opinion is one of the best units. Its furnished with the most tasteful furniture and is very comfortable. Unlike some of the other units it has two TV's that are large, so if you dont feel like going out and you are used to larger TV's your set. It's well maintained and you have one of the best views on the property, and its proximity is perfect. All in all its an outstanding condo and perfect for any vacation! The owner of this unit goes out of her way to make sure you have everything you need. You can walk to town within 10 minutes or less. You dont even need a car. They can arrange any tour, transportation, cleaning, whatever you like they take care of it for you.

The condo is in excellent condition and I was very impressed with the decor. It exceed expectations and was very clean and well maintained. It is located on the top floor with an incredible roof top section with tables and chairs and an incredible view. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone! Plenty of beach towels and a couple of beach chairs and a beach umbrella which were unexpected. Also only a 5-10 minute walk to mains street in Jaco and right on the beach.

This condo is awesome. The location is quiet but still close to the main street in Jaco. The views from the rooftop deck are unbelievable. We could not figure out how to use the blender and I emailed the owner and heard back in a few minutes. I cannot imagine have a better place to spend a week or a few days.

From the first phone call to Jody to the flight out of San Jose, everything went off without a hitch. Actually it was much more than I expected. Jody was very friendly and sent a packet of information that was VERY helpful in making our stay in Jaco fantastic! Condo was beautiful with fantastic views of both ocean and pool area. TWO great porches. I felt very safe in the complex and walking around town. I have two teenage daughters and felt safe with them walking around town durning daylight hours by themselves. I did not want them out at night by themselves, but I would not allow them to walk alone in most U.S. cities by themselves. We did not meet an unfriendly person on our entire 9 day trip! LOTS of activities. Some are a little pricey, but we expected that in a vacation area. We especially loved the day trip to Tortuga Island. Words cannot describe the beauty. Jody's place was at south end of town which was great. Beach was much less crowded, but everything still within walking distance. Thanks again Jody!!!!

We had a great time! The view is absolutely stunning, the condo was just perfect and felt like home! The location provides the seclusion we were looking for but still so close to everything just a short walk to town, hiking trails and restaurants. The listing and photos were very accurate, the property was very clean and well maintained, the grounds were so pretty. The owner was extremely helpful in providing info and answering questions. We highly recommend this condo to anyone that wants to enjoy a really beautiful place while vacationing in Costa Rica. We can't wait to go back, thank you for sharing your property with us!

Beautiful Condo & Property

We stayed at this property for two weeks in February. The condo was perfect for our needs. It is within walking distance to restaurants, hiking trails and most importantly only steps from the beach. The condo itself is very well maintained, beautifully decorated and a pleasure to stay at. We particularily loved the roof top deck and enjoyed our mornings and evenings up there, what an amazing view. Jody is extremely helpful and is a great source of info regarding Jaco and the surrounding areas. Jody even went as far as to provide a document full of recommendations which was very helpful. We have been to Jaco before but this information pointed us in many new directions. Jody was a pleasure to work with in planning our trip. We look forward to returning. What a wonderful time. Jody was perfect in providing lots of information during and after booking. We felt like we knew the place and what to do before we arrived. The condo couldn't be better and the location on the south end of the beach was perfect for us. Close enough to walk anywhere but far enough from the huslte and bustle of town to enjoy the evenings on the deck or rooftop. No need for a car, a driver can transport you from and to the airport, cabs are readily available and the Tours will pick you up and drop you off wherever you like. The condo, the pool and the grounds are immaculate and inviting. In 9 days we still didn't accomplish all we wanted to do so we have to go back and will certainly look here first. What a shame.

Well, we made it back to the US. We had a great time in Costa Rica. The condo looks beautiful and very nicely decorated. The only problem was it seems the clocks move faster down there. Time just flew bye. The time we were there was very relaxing (& very needed) and now I am back to reality. Thanks you so much for all your assistance and everything smooth sailing.

OMG, this place is amazing! The sunsets on the rooftop and the condo is beautiful, it completely exceeded our expectations. I think my husband will have to physically pry me out of here because I never want to leave! We feel spoiled staying at your place. Thank you so very much for sharing your personal paradise with us. From our first experience of talking with Jody, the owner, she went above and beyond to work out the details of our visit to Bahia Azul. This trip was a celebration of our tenth wedding anniversary and she certainly made it special for us. When we arrived to the complex, we were struck by the beautiful pool, proximity to the beach and well manicured grounds. And it got even better upon entering the unit! We were so impressed by the tasteful decor and attention to detail, everything we needed was there. Just when we thought it could not get better, we climbed the stairs to the rooftop terrace and were WOW'ed once again. The sunsets from the private terrace were just AMAZING! We found the beach town of Jaco to be lively, friendly and a perfect vacation hub- so many things to do. Jody gave us wonderful recommendations for restaurants, tours and shops. Our stay at Bahia Azul exceeded our expectations in every way! Thanks Jody for helping to make our 10th anniversary one we will never forget. Pura vida!

Very happy first time vacationers at the fantastic Bahia Azul!

My husband and I and our two sons (ages 15 and 11) spent 11 days in CR over the holidays and we had an awesome time. This property really contributed to our overall experience and while we were not housed in the upper level unit, as we knew going into the rental, we found this condo to be ideal for several reasons: 1. The condo itself is beautifully laid out and decorated. The rooms have 9 foot ceilings and each main room has its own thermostatic control including air conditioning and ceiling fans. 2. Everything you could need on holiday is available in the unit from beach towels to blender and a functional and clean washer and dryer to boot. 3. The beds -- one king in the master and two twins in the second -- were comfortable. The linens were cool and comfortable as well. 4. The TWO balconies overlooking the pool and ocean were lovely and well equipped. The larger one with dining table also had a ceiling fan, lights and sockets to work on our computers outside (yes, we did have to do some work). The view was fantastic. 5. Speaking of work, the wireless was fantastic -- only down one evening. We were provided access codes that worked and when one quit working, the office staff instantly gave us a new one. 6. The staff were also superb. They answered any questions and helped when we needed it. The security guards were friendly and kept a good watch. 7. The pool was wonderful, large and equipped with a bench to sit on. The water was warm and kept very clean. We watched pool maintenance staff check the chemicals every morning. In fact, the whole property is very clean and well maintained. 8. The location was phenomenal. About a 10 minute walk to down town -- close enough yet far enough away. We walked to dinner most nights except those we were on out-trips. The grocery store was also about a ten minute walk. Although taxis were readily available, we preferred the walk. 9. The beach is fun -- although I must admit that we typically walked down the beach an additional 10 minutes to an area that was sandier and less rocky and therefore a little easier on the feet for playing and surfing. 10. Jaco beach is fun. It has its downsides, but the pluses outweigh any negatives, the locals are great and the proximity to other CR destinations (Manuel Antonio, Arenal, etc) make it ideal. 11. Lastly, I can't say enough about Jody. Thank you so much for all of your help, instructions and suggestions. You helped make our family vacation very special!

The condo in Jaco was absolutely beautiful - it exceded our expectations! The condo was very well maintained and spotless. It was equipped with everything we needed for our four day stay. We especially enjoyed the rooftop terrace where we could sit and enjoy the sunsets and the sound of the waves crashing on the beach. The owner, Jody, was especially helpful giving us places to go and great places to eat. She even gave us directions on how to get through the airport easily on our departure. The grounds of the condo were very well maintained and secure. I would highly recommend staying here on your trip to Costa Rica - I know we will return!

We just returned from a wonderful week at Jody's residence in Jaco. The accommodations are clean, modern, and open. The community is very welcoming with a wonderful swimming pool overlooking the ocean/ surf. We spend many of evenings up on the roof top terrace enjoying a beverage and having a meal. The sunsets are beautiful from the terrace. Jody was extremely helpful in make our first visit to Costa Rica a trip to remember- we appreciated her help with maps, points of interest and where the hidden good stuff is!

The Condo was wonderful and we all had a very enjoyable time. The main purpose of the trip was for my Grandson and I to go fishing as he wanted to catch a Marlin. We had a three day charter package and he hooked up on the 1st day at 10:00 AM and got a Black Marlin (rare) to the boat just after noon. He refused to sit in the chair so he fought the fish for 2 hrs. while standing (oh to be young again). We also got in a few days of zip lining, some 4 wheeling and a horseback ride on the beach. The security, maintenance, and office personnel were absolutely wonderful and made the stay even more pleasant. Thanks for all of the data you supplied us early on, that made life so much easier. If, and when, we decide to go back we will check with you for availability of your unit. Thanks again!!

This is the condo to rent!

I will always be amazed with how lush and beautiful things are in Costa Rica. My Husband and I stayed in April 2011 and our trip was perfect. We've both been to Costa Rica before but never to Jaco so we did our research and knew we wanted to stay on the south end of the beach. Luckily, we found this condo! The location was exactly what we wanted - on the beach, close to everything but away from traffic. We thought the condo itself was beautiful. It was so clean, comfortable and smelled fantastic! The weather was much hotter than I remembered or expected so we spend a lot of time in and around the pool - where we met a few other couples. We'd get together for sunset drinks or dinner almost every night - everyone was so friendly! (By the way, this condo was SO much nicer then either of theirs - none of us could believe the difference!) I'm so glad we didn't rent a car, we walked almost everywhere we went but a cab into town was just over a buck! The owner (Jody - she's great to work with) sent us a list of things to do and places to go while in Jaco which was really helpful. We went on a few tours, took a surfing lesson just had a great time. The food was amazing everywhere we went! We hope to return next year and will definitely stay again! It was such a great vacation - a great place to relax!

Must do in Jaco 1. Run on the black sand along the edge of the Pacific when the tide is low. 2. Dinner at El Pelicano in Herradura. 3. Visit the 20 miles of white sand beach at Esterillos, 15 miles south of Jaco. Grab a Heineken at the local beach bar. 4. Dinner at the Lemon Zest, a short walk from Bahia Azul.

Truly a place in Paradise

We can't say enough about this wonderful property. Jody is a great owner and this is an outstanding property. Jaco Beach is so easy to get to from the airport--wth the new road. The property is immaculate and the onsite staff and security guys are very helpful. They are cheerful and efficient and will do everything from book a tour to changing a lightbulb. This delightfully small development (4 buildings) is right on the beach but is also has its own ammnities including a fantastic pool. One unique feature is the rooftop deck-a perfect place for my wife who is a real sun person. Jaco is a fun town with excellent food and fun shopping. This is a surfer's paradise-fun to watch even if you don't do it. Jaco is close to Manuel Antonio National Park and we would recommend that for a day. Also get a driver and venture north for a luncheon at Villa Caletas-a classic property that is on top of the world. Or if you like golf and US style resorts, head to Los Suenos. Have a great time in Jaco.

What a fantastic place--the town, the people and of course your accomodations. My wife and I were able to relax during the day and enjoy the great town during the night. Prior to booking with you, we were deciding between your place and Encantada at the opposite end of the beach. We're extremely happy that we chose your condo--your end of town is far SUPERIOR to the North end. Laying by the pool, 30 yards from the Ocean @ high tide, is truly paradise. I'll be in contact with you shortly to book for next year! Thanks again for making everything sooo easy and taking care of the little details. Your furnishings made us feel like we were in your home and not just another cold condo. Best Vacation we've had in many many years. Thanks again Jody.

With a Costa Rican coffee in hand standing on the rooftop deck, I follow the frigates soaring through curling waves fishing at dawn. The morning surf breaks just a few steps from the front balcony. As the tide receeds, the sand turns into a cool, damp track; perfect for a morning run. Just past noon several beachside restuarants begin grilling cheeseburgers always offering "special pricing" when you order an accompaning icy, longneck beer. As the sun sets, the bistros at Playa Herradura set their tables for dinner. Grilled seafood, delivered that afternoon from the fishing fleet docked a short walk to the north, and Patron margaritas are served. Flickering torches light these outdoor dining rooms. Sailboats at anchor rock in the bay. Order a second margarita.

The condo at Bahia Azul exceeded all of my expectations. The location and setting are ideal for a relaxing get-away. The ocean view is outstanding. The proximity to town is perfect. The space was very clean, well decorated and comforatable. Having a kitchen with modern appliances was a plus, as was the outdoor dining table. The condo staff members were outstanding! They were helpful in planning excursions, and were super friendly and accomodating. I will definitely be back!

We've been to Costa Rica several times and rented from Jody twice. The arrangements are always easy to make, the condo is great and Bahia Azul is the perfect location for us. We love to relax by the pool and stroll the beach as much as we love the adventure tours, sightseeing and crazy night life. This condo has a rooftop patio and I don't think you'll find a better place to sit back with a cocktail and enjoy the sunset. We tried to catch it everyday we were there last. All I can say is if you're thinking about going to Costa Rica - GO. If you're thinking about Jaco, CALL JODY - you won't be disappointed.
