Beautiful 4 acre private estate. Plenty of parking inside property (12-15 cars), Private pool/spa, outdoor bathroom/shower, outdoor kitchen, and patio. Stereo system by pool. Fire-pit with concrete bench, basketball court, ping-pong table. Lots of grassy landscaped area, full-size soccer field(shared), catering available. Inside, 3BR, 2.5 ba, Master bedroom 300 sq. ft., big shower and jacuzzi tub, beautifully finished. Kitchen just remodeled. 10 barstools, and dining area... Stone fireplace (woodburning). Flatscreen tvs, cable, wifi internet, washing room and dryer. Bunk beds in one bedroom (great for kids), and a full in the other bedroom. Loft/theatre room sleeps 1-2, and den sleeps 1-2 also... Great for Coachella fest (one block away), or any other winter/spring/summer valley event... AUTOMATIC SECURITY GATES recently added, with remote controls...

I just returned from a 1-week stay at this property with three children. We had really lovely stay and would definitely consider renting this property again. PROS The main thing this home has going for it is the outside areas. The pool is fantastic, with a zero-entry beach area, a slide and a spa, young and old alike will be happy. The pool can be heated if necessary. My kids also made use of the basketball court, the soccer field, and the ping-pong table, while the adults basked in the outdoor cabana and made lunch in the outdoor kitchen. We wished we hadn't scheduled so many activities in the area and planned more days to just hang around the house and relax! The house itself is lovely, well decorated and the kitchen is VERY well stocked with all the necessities, including staples such as salt, pepper, olive oil (so check before you go grocery shopping). This is possibly the only rental in the area where they will allow you to park your RV while you are there, and it even has full hook-ups for two RVs, which my parents used. The home is located in a mostly rural area but only 5 minutes to PGA West, and a few minutes from old town La Quinta. There is a handy Starbucks a couple miles down the road. The owner is very friendly, accessible and helpful. Cons There is not a lot to say about the cons. When first pulling up to the property I was a bit put off by the dead landscaping in the front of the house, but I got over this quickly because that unfortunate first impression doesn't reflect the overall condition of the property. The only other con is regarding the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms. If kids will be staying in them, they are FINE. If, however, you plan for adults to be using these rooms (the Master is *fine*), be aware that the bedding is not of the quality I'd expect for a rental in this price-range. The blankets are thin and the pillows are small and hard. For this price, comparing to other vacation rentals I have stayed in, I expect feather pillows and down comforters. Also there is some road noise from the nearby cross-street that you might want to be aware of if you're an adult light sleeper planning to stay in one of the other bedrooms. This is not noticeable from the master bedroom and the kids were unphased by this. If you use a wheelchair, be aware that none of the bathrooms are big enough to get a wheelchair into (the powder room would be, but they need to hang the door hinges so it opens to the outside). Recommended property!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children.
