  We stayed at this perfectly located and perfectly appointed condo for a month. Everything was in good repair and very comfortable. The rental manager was responsive and available to answer questions. There were no bad surprises and the wonderful surprise to have a great view of the whales and turtles. We would definitely stay here again.

  My wife and I came to Hawaii looking for a nice place that was comfortable as well as quiet. The accomodations at the Milowai exceeded those expectations. The condo had everything we needed that we couldn't fit in our suitcases. Including boogie boards, sand chairs, and beach towels. The full kitchen was very useful and very much enjoyed when we didn't want to eat out. The balcony gave us a view of the entire Ma' alaea bay. On most evenings we enjoyed watching the green sea turtles bob up and down in the shallow waters. Also, Barbara, thanks so much for the banana bread. It was excellent. Very nice welcoming gift. I don't believe it lasted more than a couple of days. We will make sure to look you up on our next visit.

  We stayed for 4 nights in June and loved every minute. The condo was gorgeous and incredibly well equipped. We couldn't think of anything we needed that wasn't already provided. We put the small cooler to good use - how nice to have one. Our drive to the summit and the road to Hana were highlights. The condo is in a great central location. The bed couldn't have been more comfortable and the constant breeze was delightful. Our first trip to Maui was terrific. We would definitely stay in this unit again. Barbara is the best to work with, and really spoiled us with coffee and banana bread and a pineapple waiting for us on arrival! Thanks again for a wonderful place to stay.

  This is a beautiful condo. Very clean and bright. We only stayed here one night, but was much nicer by far than the other places we stayed while in HI. It is located in a quiet part of the island, but still centrally located to many areas of interest. I highly recommend staying here.

  This condo was a great find, and greatly exceeded our expectations. We stayed for one month in late Jan. and most of Feb. We found it through VRBO which led us to Barbara who manages properties for owners in the Ma'alaea area. It had new owners, and we were offered the chance to be the first renters after extensive renovations. It had new carpet in the bedroom, and was newly painted throughout. Most everything is new including the bed, pull-out sofa and bedding. The appliances were all brand new including the small kitchen ones as well. The condo was well supplied with most everything you would need such as beach toys including boogie boards, swim noodles and even a set of children's beach toys. We put the small cooler to good use, and the binoculars allowed us to watch the whales up close. Barbara was great to work with, and took care of all the rental details, and answered our many questions and took care of our concerns. Thanks again Barbara! The condo is direct ocean front with a great view of Haleakala across Ma'alaea Bay. At night you could see all the lights of Kihei and most of the upcountry area. We were able to watch the whales breaching, tail slapping or just cruising or resting. There was almost always something interesting to watch, including turtles bobbing in front. There is no sandy beach in front, but there is a well kept lawn area and swimming pool. Loungers were available for those wishing to enjoy the view or suntan. There is a long sandy beach a 5 - 10 minute walk away which stretches 3 - 4 miles to Kihei with no development on it. It is great for walking or jogging. We really liked the location in Ma'alaea. It was central and gave us easy access to all parts of the island. Traffic was busy, and flowed well except through Pa'ia on the north shore and in Kihei at times. The Maui Ocean Center was a five minute walk and well worth a visit, as was the marina where there were many options for snorkel/whale watch tours. Two very good restaurants were within walking distance, with the Waterfront being in the same building as the condo. The Beach Bums bar and grill was also a short walk away. There was a small deli/convenience store close by, but for serious shopping including groceries you had to drive to Kihei, Kahului or Lahaina. We really enjoyed our stay in this condo and would highly recommend it to anyone. When we return to Maui, we will definitely request this condo again.
