Enjoy one of the most beautiful tranquil beaches almost right outside the front door. The house is located at the loveliest part of the island. Small shells and sand dollars are plentiful here.
Sit on the front, screened in, porch and enjoy the breeze and sounds of the surf or watch some of the most spectacular sunsets while sipping on a cool drink. Or sit in the gazebo in tne private back yard overlooking the pool. You can feed the white faced monkies right in the back yard.
Take a day to go 30 min. south to the fishing town of Quepos and take a lunch or dinner cruise which includes snorkeling and watching dolphins or take a charter boat deep sea fishing. Just past Quepos is the Manuel National Park. Along with white sandy beaches you will find many local wildlife such as monkeys, sloths, iguanas and many more.
For shopping, 45 min. north is the tourist town of Jaco (pronounced: Haco). There are numerous restaurants and bars and all the gift shops you could want. There are a couple good sized (for Costa Rica) casinos to try your luck at.
There will always be someone close by to welcome you and give you any help you would need.

This was the perfect place for my husband and I to stay with another couple for the week. We are currently staying at the last of five vacation rentals for our 1 month stay in Costa Rica. Casa Azul in Palo Seco is best stay we have had by unanimous decision. The house is very practical and relaxing. The furnishings and beds are comfortable, the kitchen well-stocked with cooking equipment (we cooked all our meals there with no problems), towels and linens are available as well as a washer and dryer. The view from the master bedroom and livingroom are amazing. The gentle sound of the surf lulls you to sleep and you wake to the view of the beautiful blue Pacific with frothy white breakers lapping at the soft sand. After a breakfast of mango and pineapple enjoyed on the screened porch, a walk on the beach where you will find many keepsake shells is in order. Or for the more energetic, grab a boogie board (available at the house) and try your luck at riding the waves. It's a blast. Of course, relaxing in the private back yard pool on one of the pool loungers with a cold drink in hand or at the tiki bar overlooking the pool is a great way to end the day. And don't forget to watch the beautiful sunsets at the beach just steps from your front door or from a hammock (also supplied) under palm trees. Woody, the house manager, and Effrain, the groundskeeper, were readily available to answer all our questions and to help us with anything we needed. We would definitely recommend Casa Azul to friends and family and hope to return again on our next visit to Costa Rica.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

My husband (age 67), son (28), daughter (35) and I (65) had the perfect Christmas getaway at Casa Azul. We arranged to meet each other at the SJO airport, rent a car (and the gps provided was extremely helpful but not essential) and take the new toll road toward Jaco and then head for La Isla Palo Seco. We were astonished when we arrived. The house met our needs in every way. The ocean was out the front door and the beach--which seemed like a movie set of a perfect beach--was usually deserted. Boogie boards were in the closet for playing on the incoming tide. The swimming pool was a few paces from the back door. Woody was available if we had questions, and Efrain, the caretaker, daily provided fresh coconuts with straw holes already cut. Parrita, a short drive away, had all groceries we needed. We could lounge at the house, enjoy the beach and pool, or head for Manuel Antonio at will. Wonderful.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
