Unfortunately while the house itself is very nice and comfortable for a family of 6 with video games for the kids and nice big tv and dvd system in the family room for stormy days/nights, several of the main amenities that drew us to the house didn't function correctly or at all seriously hindering our vacation. I did email VRBO a week ago and copy the property manager asking the owner be copied on a list of complaints and suggestions and will hopefully receive a satisfactory response soon, but am giving up hope now over 7 days since my initial email went out and 2 more to VRBO that have also now gone unreplied. To make the story short the house itself was great, very spacious and clean and we enjoyed the inside very much with two exceptions. The ice maker which I looked forward to using to fill our cooler daily for the beach stopped making ice halfway through the week, wasn't even on when we arrived so took a day to fill up and had a mildew smell coming from it. Bottom line had to buy ice for the last half of the week. There was also an accent light dangling under the kitchen cabinets by its wire which we called about and were told someone would come out to fix but never did. The real let down was the pool and spa which didn't work while we were there. We had to call every day sometimes several times a day and there was no sense of urgency from the property manager to take care of our issue. After sending a pool man out several times who dragged out cleaning the pool from Tuesday to Wednesday mid afternoon before we could use it because it was full of debris and wasn't filtering properly he still didn't fix the filter problem. The spa had no heat the entire duration of the stay either but on Thursday after more calls he came back out in the afternoon and said one of the two pumps had been burned out and that was the problem but wouldn't be fixed during our stay. This was caused by a toy that was jammed down in one of the filter pipes from a previous renter because it was there when he pulled it out on Tuesday promising that would fix everything and we hadn't put any toys in the pool yet nor did we bring that toy with us. The pool and spa continued to get dirty the rest of our stay due to filter problems. There are no usable beach chairs so bring some with you, they are all rusted and broken as are most of the pool toys. Ants are terrible around the pool and the putting green was covered in leaves and dirty so we cleaned it. Hope I hear back.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We had a wonderful two weeks. The house is very livable. The pool, firepit and putting green are great additions to the house. It was a perfect place for a family vacation.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, people with disabilities.
