  Our family was looking for a unique get-away close to home and we all agree we made a great choice! The house was well-maintained and nicely decorated. We LOVED the outside area...the deck and the dock. My husband and daughter enjoyed fishing off the dock for hours and I enjoyed relaxing and watching the wildlife. We took day trips to the Hontoon Marina, Blue Springs and Mount Dora. While the property was off the beaten path, it was conviently located. We would recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful get-away and plan to return soon ourselves.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers.

  Owner response: So glad your family enjoyed all that the home had to offer!! Everyone that has stayed has expressed how much they LOVED the outside deck and Dock and screened patio! Plenty of room if you have family or friends visting to fish and enjoy the River veiws. I just added more fishing rods to the collection as well as outside games for even more entertainment!!   My husband and I rented Lisa's house for the month of Feb.. I took a gamble not knowing Lisa or having ever heard of Lemon Bluff Rd.. With that said I would like to keep this gem a secret, but I like and respect Lisa so much that I told her I would write a review. I cannot imagine a more accomodating, friendly and kind "landlady" as Lisa. She went out of her way to make our vacation special. Lisa loves her house and it shows in her decorations, plants and personal touches. This house is a place to relax and be in the moment while appreciating the nature that exists on Lemon Bluff Rd. There is so much beauty and wildlife on Lemon Bluff that we spent lots of time sitting on the dock and walking with a camera in hand. I am trying to maintain the sense of peace and tranquility that I experienced while on vacation

  Recommended for: Age 55+.

  We were looking for a place to get-a-way from everything and relax. The kind of place where you can sit on the dock, sit on the deck in sun, take a nap in the screen-room or just sit inside with the doors open looking at at the river. Well we found it... Lisa's place is perfect! The homes are located on Lemon Bluff with the St Johns River on one side and marsh on the other. You will see all kinds of birds and boats but not many people... this is a place to relax. If you like the sun, the river and relaxing... you can't go wrong staying here. We'll be back!

  Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+.

  We rented this property for a few nights starting on Christmas Eve 2010. The set-up is just as nice if not even better than what you would expect by looking at the pictures. For those who seek nature, beauty and a tastefully decorated home with all amenities, you should have no hesitation. I plan to go back as we are bird photographers and the immediate surroundings were all we needed. We have rented a few homes in the Carolinas and Florida and this one is clearly amongst the best value. Lisa, the owner, was really accomodating - she had to bring us the key a few hours before Christmas - and a pleasure to deal with.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+.
