We had a wonderful (too short) stay at Pleasant Boudaries. The home is comfortable, beautiful and well-cared for, and the owners were wonderful to deal with. We had adults, twenty-somethings and tweens in our party and everyone had a great time. We will definitely return to this oasis.

Recommended for:Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

It was a very nice home, in a decent location, with nice views. Home was very clean and very well kept. Clearly, the owner takes great pride in this home. The 2 golf carts with lines on the garage floor were great, the outdoor shower was great too. This really is a home that has almost everything. We appreciated the fold out crib in the kid's room. The only thing I would caution potential renters is that this is not a freestanding house. It is a duplex. I think I was a little mislead by the write up as we were expecting a freestanding home. This mostly comes into play when out on the upper deck as the only thing separating this home's deck with the neighbor's deck is a small (short) wall. Again, the home is very nice, clean, and beautiful. However, we were expecting a freestanding single home. Just FYI. Also, as I'm sure is the case with most homes on the island, be sure to bring hand soap, toilet paper, trash bags for the trash cans, and paper towels as there are none of these items in the home. We found this out the hard way! Other than the above, we had a great time at PB. We would probably stay here again because of the cleanliness of the home, the views, and the layout. We liked all of these things. Thanks.

"Thank you! Some of our favorites; bikerides before breakfast, tennis, golfcarts, jumping the waves. a live big ugly whelk at the point, marshwalk, Old Baldy, deer, swimming & very hungry seagulls. "Awesome view of the ocean. Very Clean home. Thank you for sharing and allowing us to visit!! This is our 3rd and best visit to Bald Head!! Would love to return again!"

Dear Sherry - I am happy to hear from you! In fact, I have been meaning to write to you EVERY day since we returned (but life and work have intervened in my best laid plans). And my apologies for not doing so, as everything was MORE than fine at your gorgeous home; in fact, we absolutely LOVED it! It is such a warm and lovely home and it was stocked to perfection for a family like our's. As I mentioned in your guest book, we figured out it was our 13th trip to Bald Head and after staying at a variety of houses with every agency on the island, we feel (and hope) we have finally found a home we can come back to year after year (with your permission). The colors in your home were delightful, the furnishings gorgeous, welcoming and comfortable, your kitchen beautifully stocked for family meals and the kids absolutely loved your video collection. I have to say, that I have rented from XXXXXXXXX, individual agents and XXXXXXX, and you are, by far, the most organized and thoughtful renter I have had the pleasure of renting from. Everything was absolutely perfect. I loved your information packet before we arrived, the binder in your home and all the other thoughtful touches (especially those lines on the garage for parking the carts! :)! My husband told me to book it again for next summer asap...and believe me, as soon as we figure out camps, etc, I certainly will! Thank YOU for sharing your home with us. We absolutely LOVED it and the attention you paid to us as your renters. We will certainly be back... every year! (if you'll have us). Your home is beautiful, the view is spectacular and we enjoyed all of the activities of BHI --daily trips to the beach, bike rides, sandcastles, BHI pool, climbing Old Baldy, seeing a turtle nest being excavated and let out to the ocean. We ended our trip with the Labor Day "shrimp-a-koo" at the marina. An amazing end to our summer!"
