My husband and I stayed 5 days in this wonderful apartment near the Piazza Navona. The entrance to the apartment give us the wrong impression, since it's kind of old. But the apartment is renovated, clean, cozy and romantic. The kitchen has everything we need, dishes, cutlery, glasses, cups, pots and wine opener! The location is great, very cozy in a neighborhood with many restaurants, markets, bakeries and ATMs nearby. Although not near the subway, you can do almost everything on foot! The walk to the Colosseum and the Vatican takes about 20 minutes at a moderate pace. The owner is a love and welcomed us with delicious sweet Sicilian and Italian wine. The cost-benefit ratio is excellent. In addition, she has indicated us Emiliano to get us at the airport, which was a great surprise! He explained to us all about the places we pass through in our way to the apartment, like a real tour guide! Our flight connection to Rome was delayed and we sent an email to Alessia, the agent, and she informed Emiliano that was waiting for us with a plate with my name. LOVE it ALL! Surely we will stay there again, and indicate to those who hopes to have a great stay in Rome! Alessia, thank you for everything!

We really enjoyed our stay in Rome, specially in this flat. We appreciated its incredible location, close to everyting (we took the bus twice only and walked the rest of our trip, which led us though to all the major places to see), its calm while being in the center of the historic city and the efficient presence of the owner, easily joignable ‘in case of’ and for managing our transfer from and to the airport. We will highly recommend this rental to our friends

We spend a couple of nights in this spacious apartment. The location could not have been better. Very centrally located, but on a quiet side street. The street is a pedestrian zone, so there is almost no car noise. There are a lot of restaurants and coffee shops in the area .We only used the kitchen for snacks and didn't cook. The next grocery store is just a couple of steps away. We liked that we could spread out between the 2 levels in the apartment. Wifi was very fast. For us the AC worked well. To live in building that was centuries old was interesting and exciting, that why we rent and don't stay in a hotel. The owner answered all emails promptly and organized airport transfer for us. We were met at the apartment and everything was shown and explained to us.

First, the POSITIVES: The apartment is superbly located, steps from a small store, close to the Pantheon and many other attractions. It is large and airy, with two A/C units which keep the lower part cool (they do a not-so-good job with the loft, but that's to be expected). We really needed those A/C's when we were there, as temps were in the high 30's (high 90's F). The NEGATIVES: The apartment was older than it shows. The kitchen is extremely tiny, not useful for anything but a simple breakfast. The mattresses are very hard, and this is coming from people who like firm mattresses. Finally, we had two issues which came up in our time there, one which was handled nicely by the owner, one not *at all*. The first issue was a family emergency which came up, and we almost had to leave two days early. When I discussed with the owner, she was very willing to give us a refund if we had to leave for this reason. We ended up not needing this, having dealt with the matter on the phone, but this was a pleasant surprise. The second issue was more messy. We quickly smelled something funny in the upstairs loft. We didn't spend much time in the place (being outside in the Rome summer and all), so we thought maybe it was coming from old pipes or from outside. After a few days, we realized there was a SMELL OF URINE COMING FROM THE MATTRESS on which we were sleeping. This horrified us - we moved from the room to the living room couch, and informed the owner, telling her that since we cannot use the bedroom upstairs, we deserve a discount. We decided not to move out because we had tons of luggage and a small baby. We also said that if she promised to change the bed for future guests we would not bring the matter up in the review. She immediately accused us of blackmailing her using our review for a discount. She then said she would refund some money, but only if we give a positive review. We were appalled. She never apologized but kept an accusatory stance. The urine on the bed was horrifying and showed that the cleaning staff did not pay enough attention (in addition, they do not put any bed protector on the mattress) but it is the attitude of the landlady that really shocked us more than anything else. We said we would not play this exchange game, and that we would publish an honest review. She never gave any refund. She said she would replace the mattress, but people were coming the day we left, and we saw no evidence of this.

Overall the best part of this apartment was certainly the location. It is on a beautiful pedestrian boulevard with many excellent shops and restaurants. Almost all the major attractions are within walking distance and we walked everywhere. Buses were also very close by as was a taxi stand. The kitchen was extremely small with no counter space and a stove that had trouble getting hot enough to cook eggs. It really was poorly supplied with few small glasses, no bowls and no spatula for example. The bathroom and shower were also tiny and poorly supplied. There was no soap, shampoo, and minimal toilet paper. The air conditioners were in the bedroom and the living room and barely adequate to keep those rooms cool. The upstairs bedroom where our daughters slept was a sauna. If the air-conditioners were on, it took all the electricity the apartment was capable of giving. You could not do anything else such as use hot water (shower or washing clothes) or cook or else the fuse would blow and everything would stop including Internet. Overall a great location, and despite the fact that it is a charming building it could use some TLC. Allesia did help with questions and arranging transportation from airport, but she was certainly not particularly friendly and did not go out of her way to provide extra information.

We just got back from staying in this apartment for 4 nights. It was my husband and I along with our 19yr old nephew and his friend. It was in a GREAT location with transportation at the end of the street and so much to do with in walking distance. If we had one thing to say negative, it would be the beds were way harder than we found comfortable. If you like a firm bed, this apartment would be perfect. If you need a medium or soft bed, you will be uncomfortable. I think an egg create would solve the hard bed issue. The A/C units kept the place cool in weather that was over 94 F/ 34 C. The boys slept on the futon in the living room because to try to get the cool air up to the loft area would have been too difficult in extreme heat. Also, the futon was the most comfortable bed in the apartment for us. Yes, the kitchen is small but we used it every day for breakfast and we even cooked an evening meal in it. We live in Italy so we are used to having a small kitchen. The only think lacking in the kitchen were bowls for cereal. We ended up using the large coffee cups. I would recommend this apartment to anyone I know going to Rome for it's location, amenities and the WONDERFUL way it was so easy dealing with Alessia who welcomed us to the apartment.

This apartment was very comfortable for our party of 5. Great comfy beds and accomodations. Shower hot water was strong and plentiful. Living space is adequate although the kitchen is very small but who cooks at home! The key to this property is its location, totally in the heart of all that is charming in Rome. Close to so many sites, cafes, shops, and the Plaza but far enough away to feel relaxed and quiet. Make sure you plan a meal at the Santa Lucia down the street near the Raphael Hotel. Allessia was a good host and helped with transportation to the airport. Highly recommended for a stay in Rome.

Excellent location: quiet "cul de sac" in a pedastrian street. (only residents' cars allowed). Alessia, the manager, was very attentive and helpful in any request/repair we had. Perfect apartment for a couple. The kitchen has all the appliences you need, but not the coounter space. You'll find the basics in the kitchen: olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper, tea bags. We had also washing powder provided. Internet access is fast and relliable. Hot water for showers was excellent for the two of us. We walked to all main touristic places, and if you'll buy the Roma Pass- many bus lines are nearby to serve you (for 3 days-included in the pass). The apartment is clean, comfortable, and charming. Thank you Alessia for all your help!
