  My family stayed July 8-12 2012 and we loved it. The house was cozy and clean. Everything was as described and I only have good things to say about our time here. Having the boats to use right in our back yard was fun for us girls while the boys spent lots of time fishing on the banks. We enjoyed the hot tub even during the summers especially our two year old twin girls who could not get enough swimming. The neighbors were all friendly. Kim was easy to contact and responded quickly while we were looking to rent. I would recommend this place and have to our friends and family and we would so come back again!

  We arrived the evening before Thanksgiving and stayed until Saturday. When we arrived we instantly felt comfortable. The cabin was so cozy (the only thing we were disappointed about was that the chimney was being repaired and we could not use the fireplace) but, we had the outdoor fire ring and the hot tub....OHHHH the hot tub....relaxing in the hot tub on Thanksgiving evening after eating our Thanksgiving dinner...something you don't have at home...LOVED IT!!!! The beds were so comfortable...the whole cabin was so well stocked with everything you need...just bring food. Watched many movies from the massive collection...sat on the deck and enjoyed the peacefulness....the view of the lake was beautiful...our son slept up in the loft (he said it was so comfortable)...our daughters each had their own bedroom...we even brought our dog (she is a Puggle), she loved to go on walks and be outside on the dog run. This was the most enjoyable place to stay for a family getaway...we will most definately be back (I felt that when we were packing to leave and didn't want to). If anyone is looking for a wonderful vacation spot, this is the place to go. Thank you to the owner for allowing us to rent your beautiful cabin. See you soon!

  Owner response: I'm happy to hear that everyone in the family, including the dog, had such an enjoyable stay! I apologize that the indoor fireplace was not operational. As soon as the weather warms up, the chimney will be repaired. I'm sure you stayed toasty warm with the electric baseboard heat throughout the cabin. The outdoor fire ring is always available for roasting marshmallows! Just send me a note when you'd like to return, your family is welcome any time!

  This is our 4th stay at this cabin. The first one sine the addition. We enjoyed the new addition. The young adults enjoyed the hot tub, boating, and bike riding. My husband and I enjoyed relaxing by the water, reading, fishing and whatever. We also enjoyed exploring West Salem,and the other small nearby towns. I am looking forward to another vacation here again in a few years.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

  My family & I rented this cabin for a week to get away from the heat of Arizona and to visit my extended family in Ohio. We fell in love with the cabin and its surroundings. It was well-equipped with everything we needed. We enjoyed the paddleboat, fishing, the hot tub and having campfires several evenings. The house was clean and cozy and the cabin decor was adorable. It's located within an hour of Cedar Point, Holmes County Amish country and so much more! We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a cabin retreat! Can't wait to return someday!

  We had a girl's weekend in Apri 2011l and it was near perfect. The weather was not very accomodating as it rained everyday, BUT the cabin was very cozy. We felt welcome as soon as we walked in. We would definitely reccomend it to anyone who is looking to having a wonderful respite. Who can beat your own hot tub just a few steps from the deck? And the view as we were having our morning coffee was simply wonderful. We had a short setback with the gas going out on us. The owners were there within a half hour to remedy the problem and never once intruded on our celebration time. Talk about customer service! We enjoyed our outdoor adventures to Mohican State Park and the quaintness of Loudonville. It is definitely a "We must do this again!"

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.

  We rented the cabin this past weekend for a getaway for us and all our grown kids. It worked out great. The cabin was clean and well stocked with household items. Beds were all comfortable. Not the right time of year to take advantage of the outdoor amenities, but I can see where it would be very nice in the seasons where you can enjoy the outdoors as well.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

  Nice cabin, very quaint, set up with almost anything you could possibly need as far as kitchen stuff, outdoor gear, washer/dryer, etc. Beautiful outdoor setting - large lawn, lots of space for the kids to run around, plus extra amenities (campfire ring, paddle boat, canoe, hot tub, etc) kept everyone entertained. The main con was that the weekend we went it was 90 degrees, and it took the window a/c a LONG time to catch up and cool the place down. Also, the pool in the community had limited hours and no shade, so we were not able to take advantage of it with our little ones.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, pet owners, families with young children.

  Owner response: I'm glad you were happy with everything we provide at the cabin. We try to have plenty of things to keep everyone entertained. The wall air conditioner has never had a problem bringing the temperature down. I checked the various settings and cleaned the filter and it seems to be running well. The pool does have somewhat limited hours. I believe the hours were noon-8pm the day you arrived. This is because there are lifeguards on duty, as opposed to a "swim at your own risk" pool. The association has determined it does not make sense to pay them during the hours when the pool is getting little or no use. However, you are free to swim in the lake at the beach or off of the property at any time.
