The entry level features an open floor plan with a two story living room, woodburning fireplace, Yamaha piano and ample seating. There is a formal dining room adjoining the fully equipped kitchen. The Media Room/Den is a separate room with sliding glass paned French Doors and a queen sized sofa sleeper. From June to August 2008, 2009, 2010, my wife and I have stayed at the Town Home. We return every summer. The home overlooks the beautiful Snowmass Mountains, is adjacent to the Golf Course, and has a beautiful back deck with grill. Summer time is devine and we take advantage of the Snowmass Country Club, which is down the road. Privacy and gorgeous kitchen for my wife. Media/Den as well.Did you find this review helpful? About the owner: Being a real estate broker and business woman in the NYC metro area, I come to wind down here. While I have traveled all over the world, I still come back to Aspen/Snowmass area to relax and enjoy the pace and balance from NYC. I am an avid skier and enjoy the summertime activities in this marvelous cultural center. I have had two show dogs, Standard Poodles, one of whom has won Best in Show..They both loved it at the house, especially my large back yard with blue spruces and cottonwood trees. My neighbors and sense of community life here are superb. I have volunteered for over 15 years at the Aspen Food and Wine Classic as I am a lover of good wine. Since my background includes the Arts, I find the Aspen Music Festival, the ballet and the Theatre as well as all of the lectures and outstanding lecturers a marvelous adjunct to a vacation home.
Why the Owner Chose Snowmass Village:
I originally bought my home because I loved skiing so much and wanted a permanent place to stay. However, as the years passed and I started to volunteer at the Aspen Food and Wine Classic, I began to love the summertime as well. Rafting, hiking, Art Museum, lectures, fine dining,sitting on the lawn at the Benedict Music Tent with my dog and listening to reknown artists perform...taking my picnic basket filled with wine and goodies.......Also good friends...and a place to call my own. The locale provides me with green grass and a back yard, something I don't have living in a NYC apt.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome:
Back deck, to barbecue and enjoy at leisure with friends and family while viewing the snowcapped mountains in the summer time, is a true pleasure. Quiet atmosphere, a lot of space, large bedroom with superb views and my fabulous kitchen...And easily accessible to skiing in the wintertime. I love the skiing in Snowmass...wide open slopes, ski school for the kids...and all levels of skiing for the novice and proficient skier. No hastle to get to the slopes...at the end of the day, wind down with hot wine in front of my stone fireplace!
