Beautiful, charming home, large enough and well divided to allow for ample space and privacy to each of the 3 families that stayed there. Perfect location!! ...just a minute walk to the nicest shopping and restaurant district in town and a 30-minute drive to the nearest ski resort. Owners were always helpful and ready to cooperate in any way possible. We would stay there again as many times as we could.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you for the kind words. We enjoyed having you and your family.

My girlfriends and I had a wonderful reunion at this home! Besides it being a ton of space for a large group, our favorite part is that it was only a short walk from adorable Pearl Street. You can easily get around without a car and enjoy Boulder. I definitely recommend the home.Recommended for: Families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you for staying with us.

Not only is the location fantastic, but the Spruce House is clean, comfortable and a perfect fit for multiple families. And the large front yard is perfect for snow man making in the winter!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car.
Owner response: Thank you for staying and thank you for the snow man. He had been aging gracefully prior to the warmer weather. Now his arms and nose are much closer to the ground.

Home with old world craftsman style charm with modern conviences. Walk to Pearl Street Mall, Boulder Creek, hiking, biking and more. Front pourch was perfect to relax with a glass of wine and talk with friends. Four couples stayed during our visit. Plenty of living area and comfortable bedrooms. Top bedroom does not have an attached bath so you had to come down one flight of stairs. Overall a great place to stay with family and friends.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thanks for staying with us Terry.

The house was huge! Enough room for each family to have their own space and different sections to separate the kids when they were getting on each others nerves. PLenty of space for each of us to have our own room/bathrooms. We LOVED the front yard and porch. The kids looked forward to running up and down the walkway every afternoon. The proximity to Pearl Street was amazing. The above garage apartment was immaculate! The only recommendation I would make is to stock the kitchen with a few more items. As we had small children with us and making meal at the house was important. We actuall went out and bought a large mixing bowl and disposable serving trays. Other than that, the house was perfect! Also coming from a family who loves old homes, the character of the house was fabulous! We would definitely recommend staying here and would stay here again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you for staying with us. We will take your comments seriously and see if we can add a few things in the kitchen.

Beautiful house, unbelievable location, outstanding service by homeowner and property manager. We had 4 teenage (16/17 year old) girls in our group and the 1 block easy access to Pearl Street was so convenient. As a walker, I could walk the Boulder Creek Path up the mountain each day so easy. But the most fun was sitting out on the front porch watching the locals. Each morning I had coffee on the porch and shared the morning with the local wildlife. Birds, rabbits, even deer. One mornnig, I had 2 deer on the front yard. Enjoyed evening cocktails and after dinner drinks on the front porch watching Pearl Street visitors try to parallel park. Have some great Youtube videos of people trying to park on the side of the street. Some side-splitting stuff. Seriously, the property has great amenities for a crowd. We had a wonderful time and look forward to staying at the house again next year.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Thank you so much for providing such an inviting atmosphere for my work team to gather, brain storm and relax. It was a great way to treat a group to the best of Boulder! The house is so wonderful and nicely positioned--great location just off of the Pearl Street restaurant area. We loved how it is set back on the gorgeous tree-lined lot far enough to maintain a quiet respite. I loved the front porch for hanging out and talking and although it was mid-winter I could see that the back garden is lovely. We hope to come back during the summer season to stay and take a nice swim in the endless pool. The house is so spacious and well divided for privacy however, there are great spaces to be together especially the harvest table setting in the main floor dining room. We spent a lot of time around that table! Great job on the apartment above the garage! Whoever designed and decorated that had great taste! It made a nice private area for the only man in our otherwise all female team. Thank you! We are coming back!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The location of this property is 'platinum’. You’re in the thick of the action on Pearl Street. House is clean & well kept. You still get the feeling of being in a quaint neighborhood. Saw squirrels; the next door rabbit came out every morning; 1 raccoon was spotted late at night; and even saw a deer go by! Even though this is a VRBO, we get used to having soap & shampoo available and we had to run out to the store for that. We couldn’t figure out how to evenly heat the house – this may be more a function of our lack of knowledge on radiators/heating elements/thermostat settings. Kitchen could be a little better stocked with a little better quality items. Now, enough with the complaining! This house is HUGE. We had too much room for seven of us. We’ll have to bring more people next time. The Flatirons look great from the sheltered deck (cup of coffee and spare time highly recommended). Pearl Street is absurdly close yet not much noise coming up to the house. Very short walk to the creek and the red rocks on the west end of town.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thanks for staying with us and for your comments. They mean a lot and we will improve because of them.

We couldn't have found a better house to rent. This house is lovely, clean, and charming, but huge! We were there for about 2 hours before we managed to find the attic bedroom (thought it was a door to another closet:-) And on top of the charm, it's in the perfect location for walking over to Pearl Street!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

This was a wonderful rental through VRBO. The responses to my questions regarding the house were always extremely fast and the house more than met the expectations of my group of 7 friends. The location is terrific (only a block from Pearl Street where there are great shops and restaurants) and the condition of the house was great! The large front porch was ideal for sitting and talking, the bedrooms were all lovely, the two kitchens were more than sufficient and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinners at the long beautiful wood dining room table. I would highly recommend this rental and would love to stay here again!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you for staying with us. We loved having your group and hope you come back soon.

This lovely home on Spruce Street perfectly suited our family's needs during a week of wedding preparations in the Boulder area. The location is so convenient to the restaurants, shops, and bars on Pearl Street, and the parking at the house is ample. We had several large family dinners at the spacious dining room table. Bedrooms and the above-the-garage suite were nice and the bedding was of good quality. Besides the huge dining room table, our favorite aspects were the front porch with such great wicker rockers and the little garden behind the house, which was a gathering place for visitors and for those who wanted a dip in the pool We would highly recommend this beautiful home.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.
Owner response: You guys were the BEST! I am glad we got to meet. Wth such a turbulent and unorthodox start to your wedding plans I was very please to be able to keep you all together for the entire trip. Best wishes!
