  I have never written a review before, mostly because I feel people tend to "embellish" their accomodations. We encountered the polar opposite with Mike's Cabin. From the first communication to the checkout everything was perfect. The description of this property is accurate to say the least. Everything is actually nicer than decribed or pictured. The place was immaculate when we showed up, and with the detailed itinerary provided by the Mike, we experienced hassle free luxury for our entire vacation. The home is convenient to everything, if you actually feel like going out. We enjoyed the ease of skiing just a mile or so away, the numerous restaurants and even a little gambling. Mike went above and beyond in communicating with us and I would recommend this home to anyone.

  What a wonderful vacation we had! We’ve been in Tahoe many times and this is the best cabin we have ever had. Our families are all very satisfied and had memorable stay. The cabin "wow" us with its beautiful lay out, top of line appliances, quality decorations, fully equipped kitchen, well organized laundry room and more… Guys had fun playing pool table; owner Mike provided sleds so kids could sled outside backyard; moms cooked big meals in the fully supplied kitchen. Thanks Mike’s attention to every detail. We really enjoyed the stay and will be back for our next vacation. Also I want to mention that Mike is a great gentleman to work with. He responded my email right away and refunded the deposit the 2nd day after I mailed keys. Highly recommend!

  What a great place to stay while in South Lake Tahoe. The home was in a beautiful location on the mountainside. Tall pines surround the home but plenty of sun can pour in. We aren't exactly easy to please but this home exceeded expectations. Everything we needed was available to us and we had a wonderful time. We met our son and his wife there who drove from N California and we cooked wonderful meals and played games and enjoyed the Heavenly Valley slopes that were just a few minutes away. The owner Mike was very nice and helpful and our deposit was returned immediately upon receipt of the keys. I am sure that we will be going back to Lake Tahoe. I am also sure that this is where I want to stay next time if it is still available. Thanks for everything Mike.

  This is easily the best cabin I have been to for the past several years (we've have been to quite a few as well) and our entire group concurred. The cabin has everything you need as shown in the pictures and more (like apple ipad TV adapter, this was a pleasant surprise for high tech geeks like myself). The cabin is clean and organized, things aren't all over the place and the fire pit outside is icing on the cake. I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone and I shall be back next year. Thanks Mike for giving us the opportunity to stay here and appreciate the warm welcome with the bottle of wine.

  All info published on this "cabin" is accurate and there is a lot more to this property than space allows me to say. The layout is functional and fits many lifestyles. The appliances are good and work very well. The beds are comfortable. The entertainment options furnished with the property are extensive with games, toys, internet, many TV's, sleds and pool table with good cues. All the condiments we wanted were furnished and the tableware, pots, pans and utensils are new. The green driveway light helped us find the house in the dark. The kids liked the sledding next to the house and finding pinecones for their snowmen. The adults liked the quiet area and the walks to look at the surroundings.This is the best VBRO we've had and two things stand out in my memory - the welcoming bottle of wine and the picture of Jackie Gleason from the " Hustler ". A big thank you to Mike.

  Ditto to all the reviews that were made by previous visitors that rated this home 5 STARS! Our stay at this beautiful home was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we saw the house from the street we knew that we had made an excellent selection. Walking up the stairs to the front door, opening the door to see a fabulous laid out home with all the bedrooms on the same level, then walking up the stairs with natural wood rails and seeing a stainless steel decorated kitchen with all the amenities, looking at the left of the kitchen to rest yourself on a comfortable and appropriately furnished living area facing a cozy fireplace and many more conveniences provided by the owner were more than we expected. Our stay was so enjoyable. Mike had sleds in the garage for the children to so sledding on the side of the home. What fun we all had. Nothing was overlooked to make our stay comfortable. Working with Mike via email was so convenient. Everything was explained clearly. A lengthy written instruction on what was expected of us upon arrival and during our stay was provided in advance. We have already been recommending Mike's home to our families and friends. We will definitely call Mike again when we decide to visit Tahoe again.

  My family and I have rented vacation homes in multiple locations and this home immediately became our favorite. You will not be disappointed! The layout, amenities, quality of craftsmanship and location were great. It was approximately 10 minutes to the lake, casinos and Edgewood golf course. Mike was 'over the top' helpful in recommending restaurants, hiking trails and golf courses. The cool temps and smell of the mountain air provided a much needed respite from the Texas heat. We will definitely rebook with Mike on our next trip to Lake Tahoe.

  Our stay in Mike's home was absolutely perfect in every way. This was a summer vacation, so our perspective was different than other reviews here. We stayed 6 nights at the end of June with 4 adults and 4 kids. The weather was better than we could have ever hoped for (literally NO clouds for 6 days!). The home is stunning - the pictures are very nice but the actual home is impeccable. All the appliances, fixtures, and electronics are very high-end. The beds are amazing, and the home is perfectly appointed for an extended stay. It is situated in a great neighborhood that is quite hilly, but not too strenuous for long walks. At the back of the neighborhood, there is a trailhead that has a 3 mile loop with gorgeous views, or you can access a 13 mile section of the Tahoe Rim Trail. Simply amazing. This trail is great for a long hike, but it is also approved for mountain bikes and equestrian. Across the main road (Kingsbury Grade), you can access more trails, and of course, the Heavenly Ski Complex. The home is situated at the top of Kingsbury Grade, so this gives you excellent access to South Lake Tahoe (down the hill to the west) or Minden, NV (down the hill to the east). The road is a piece of cake in either direction during the summer. If you're interested in other great hikes within a close drive, you won't be disappointed with the Eagle Lake hike or the Rubicon Trail. Mike has provided a book in the home which gives lots of ideas. Finally, I would just like to say that Mike was extraordinarily accommodating as a host. He made sure that every detail was handled with utmost professionalism. Furthermore, he was a perfect gentleman and very friendly to work with. This is not a typical rental home, so plan to treat it very carefully (any mark or spill would be noticed, since the home is so perfect!). Obviously, however, I would highly recommend this home to anyone interested in a fabulous summer vacation. We plan to visit again in the winter to give that a try!

  We just spent a week in this fabuolos location. Nested in the mountains only a few minutes from evrywhere in Tahoe, my family and I enjoy the comfort, cleanliness and excelent location of this beautiful recently built home in the mountain hills of Tahoe, Nevada. The rooms, and socila areas are separate and provide privacy when needed, while keeping a great social atmosphere for entertaiment and relaxation. Bathrooms were top of the line, and the fully equiped kitchen, my wife's dream. Mike was supportive, attentive and provided all necessary information to make our trip a success. Even our local friends and owners of The Coyote Grill, were impressed with this beautiful home. We will definetly come back!

  THIS HOME IS FABULOUS! THE VIEWS ARE INCREDIBLE. THE HOME IS SET UP BEAUTIFULLY. IT HAS ALL THE LUXURY FEATURES ANYONE COULD ASK FOR IT TO HAVE AND EVERYTHING IS SO WELL MAINTAINED. TOP OF THE LINE ALL THE WAY. OUR 2 BOYS HAD A WONDERFUL AFTERNOON SLEDDING ON THE HILL IN THE YARD USING SLEDS THAT THE OWNER PROVIDED. I TOOK PHOTOS OF THEM FROM THE BALCONY BEFORE I JOINED THEM DOWNSTAIRS. IT WAS ALSO INCREDIBLY CLEAN! MIKE WAS A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH & WE COULDN'T HAVE ASKED FOR A BETTER EXPERIENCE. I'VE NEVER SAID THIS BEFORE, BUT.....THIS IS ONE VACATION HOME I'LL RETURN TO EVERYTIME IT IS AVAILABLE!
