Flaminio (Piazza del Popolo & Parioli) apartment description
Immersed in the green, beautiful and bright, and strategically connected just a short distance from the historical center, definitely away from the chaos, this house is one of the most captivating condos of the capital, inside of the Olympic village, by the masterpiece of the famous architect Renzo Piano, the prestigious Auditorium of Rome.
The flat, fully renovated in 2009, has a strong character: rich in playful elements, informal, organized and inviting, a highly creative spot where intriguing colours created for the walls dialogue in perfect harmony with the glamorous vintage furniture and contemporary "d'auteur pieces", where design plays a dual aesthetic and functional role.

Cozy Home in Rome
Cozy Home in Rome
We were a family of six staying at this house in the Olympic Village. It's a bit outside the major attractions but it's still easy to get to them by tram or bus with the bus stop just around the corner. It's sometimes nice to get away from the tourists so this is a nice place to go home too. You even get to see and experience the quiet village life of the Romans. We even got to experience a Friday flea market while we were staying there. The house is warm and cozy with an eclectic design. Very cute. Spacious too. It did feel like going home after a day of being out. My only complaint was that the bathroom inside one of the bedrooms had a see-through door. Either I or my mom would have to leave the room everytime one of us would use the bathroom. Maybe the bathroom door could be tinted or smoked. Lucilla our hostess was very helpful and warm. She helped arranged our taxi from the airport to the apartment and was very patient in answering all my emails.

Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.
To begin with, the owner of the property, Lucilla, is a wonderful hostess. I came to Rome to work on a book, and she had researched literary events in Rome, as well as other cultural happening during my stay. The apartment is very close to Renzo Piano's famous Auditorium. I went to see two wonderful concerts there, which I never would have done if I weren't living up here. The flat itself is very nice and spacious. It's not too difficult to get down into the centro storico in Rome, either by tram or two buses. The only drawback is that public transportation stops at midnight, and there was one night when I just missed the last bus from Termini and had to pay 18 Euros for a taxi. Furthermore, I was out to hear a friend's band play in the centro storico, and I would have stayed a few hours longer if I wasn't obliged to race to catch the last bus home. All this to say, if you are coming to Rome for the night life, this is not the apartment for you, unless you can afford taxis each night. If you are coming to Rome for the sights, or especially for the music and events at the Auditorium, this place will suffice. It would also be a good place for families with a car. You'll be comfortable here, and Lucilla will take good care of you.

About the owner: I’m graduated, behind, a job in the field of monuments, galleries and books especially the antique ones. Now I put my energies into our family firm, we produce high quality extra virgin olive oil, way too far from noise and hours. My passion though is running my two charming vacations flats. It s a great care commitment, however the line between work and free time becomes invisible. My challenge is turning out comfortable and friendly atmosphere spots which could make people feel at home.
