  We just finished a weekend at this property; me, my wife and two friends. If this review was just about this clean and tidy cottage I would knock off a star or two because it is smallish and the kitchen facility is minimal. But the river is just terrific - cool water, great trees. Best of all (for us) were the kayaks, tubes and paddle boards the owner provides. So, if you are into being on, in or beside a fine Central Texas river this is an excellent choice. I would recommend it to anyone who loves rivers and can negotiate a dozen of so steps down to the dock.

  Too close to other home for privacy, very small living quarters. No stove only microwave for cooking. Bedroom and bath nice size. Bed is comfortable. Owners very friendly

  Owner response: We are very sorry the cottage was not as expected. In our description of the property we mentioned that there is no stove and that the cottage was attached to the house via carport.

  My husband and I took our two kids and college-age niece for three days during Spring Break. We like to be outside, so the accomodations were just fine for the 5 of us. We enjoyed grilling and listening to tunes on the patio above the river. The kids loved the kayaking and floating on the river. Scott has a lovely place. The use of his water toys was an excellent advantage. Thank you Scott for your hospitality.

  We spent Valentine's day weekend at the cabin, and loved it! Close enough to town, but far enough away that it felt like we were in another (much more relaxing) paradise. We'll be back when the weather is warner! Thank you for sharing your great place with us!

  Spent several weeks here during the summer and have nothing negative to say. You can't beat the location on the San Marcos River and kicking back on the great deck or hanging on the dock. Drinks just taste better when you have your feet in a river. The cottage itself has everything covered for you to have a relaxing and comfortable time.
