1 or 2 Bedroom Flats or Whole House in the Heart of Noe Valley
- Minimum stay:2-3 nights
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:No
- Wheel chair accessible:No
A rare chance to stay in Noe Valley! Noe Valley (Pronounced NO-EEE) is home to both liberals and conservatives, it has attracted the working class, dotcom millionaires, Hollywood film crews ('Sister Act,' 'Nash Bridges'), It's chock full of upscale restaurants, home-decor boutiques, and chic clothing shops. Noe is a prosperous, shopper-friendly neighborhood whose bistros, coffee shops, and bookstores are always lively. The hills that surround Noe Valley give it an air of remoteness and removal from the city which, along with many Victorians, is what attracts families with kids, dogs and strollers to the neighborhood. There are no hotels in Noe Valley so you are sure to have an authentic San Francisco experience.
Our home is a classic Victorian / Edwardian flat with spiral staircase and hard wood floors throughout. It has high ceilings, period lighting & sky lights, picture moulding & bay windows. A working wood burning double sided fireplace gives warmth and romance in the living room and bedroom. Enjoy this flat as a couple or as a small family. It has contemporary eat-in kitchen with all the tools for cooking. Or walk two blocks to 24th Street and enjoy the tremendous local restaurants. Noe Valley boasts some of the warmest weather in San Francisco, sometimes 10 degrees warmer than other neighborhoods. Enjoy the sun on our deck or balcony during your stay.
Light-rail trains are just two blocks away and can take you into the heart of San Francisco without the hassle of traffic or parking. The J-line can take you to AT&T Park for $2. It is also a short distance to 101 and 280 to get to/from Silicon Valley. Dolores Park is walking distance and is famous for its picturesque skyline view, perfect for a picnic and frisbee play on the grassy hillside.
If nightlife is what you are looking for Noe's own Bliss Bar was featured in In Style magazine. The Dubliner also has a great selection of imported beers. It's common to meet a small horde of Irish expats there. Or a short cab ride takes you to nearby Mission District where you can enjoy a Latin swing or over to Potrero Hill to see some of San Francisco's best bands. The Castro is also just over the hill from Noe Valley.

My mom, daughter and I stayed for 2 nights and couldn't have been happier with the flat. There's nothing you need that isn't there---there were lots of towels, pillows, sheets, blankets, cooking utensils, dishes, silverware and on and on....The flat is even prettier than in the pictures and exactly as described in the listing--bright, comfortable, clean....The location is perfect, the neighborhood is safe and everything you could want to see/do/buy is within walking distance. The owners are incredibly accommodating and helpful--I called Penelope when I had a question and she took care of it within minutes. We couldn't have been happier and will definitely be staying there again the next time we're in S.F.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We liked this flat very much and would gladly rent it again. The neighborhood is really nice. Whole Foods grocery store is 3 blocks away. I greatly enjoyed breakfasts at La Boulange 2 blocks away. We also had good meals in the neighborhood at Fattoush, and at Casa Mexican. Transportation downtown was easy with the MUNI J train just 3 blocks away. There were also bus lines close by for anywhere else in the city. We didn't move our car the entire four days we were there. We were glad for the dedicated street parking in front of the flat's garage. The flat was clean and comfortable. You definitely need to be ok climbing stairs. Not only are there stairs inside (with a very nice entranceway) to get up to the flat, but like all of the houses in the area there are stairs outside to get up to the door. You need to be very careful on the outside stairs because there is a security gate (which is appreciated) with two big metal mail boxes that would do serious bodily harm if you fell into them. The accommodations were perfect for us, but the second bedroom is only barely big enough for a futon bed and a flat screen television. That was fine though because the rest of the flat was pretty big. The flat was extremely well stocked with sheets, towels and blankets, which was much appreciated. The kitchen was also well-equipped. The refrigerator seemed to be misadjusted, being too warm while the freezer was growing frosty ice crystals like crazy. I don't know if that is an ongoing issue or if some previous occupant had messed with the settings. It didn't cause us any problem though. The flat's information on the homeaway.com site does not list prices for February. I would suggest updating the page in that regard. After our initial booking we added an extra day and extra person. There was a big jump in price when we added a weekend day, but we were glad to have no trouble with the change. Getting into and out of the flat was easy. The owner was very responsive when the internet didn't initially work. After we rebooted the modem and router, the wireless internet worked well during our entire stay. My one and only complaint was that it took several days to get our security deposit back. We checked out on Wednesday, I emailed about it on Friday, and then I called about it on Sunday. The owner was apologetic and returned the money after my call.Owner response: During this guest's stay we had just changed our booking system and unfortunately the return of the deposit fell through the two systems. We have made sure that our system alerts us to be sure the security deposits are returned within the 7 day window we list on our contract terms.

This airy, bright flat is close to dining, shopping, metro. Great kitchen with everything you need. Very comfy bedroom with futon and fold-out couch for additional sleeping. Could use more comfortable chairs! We never had a problem finding nearby parking, a serious plus. Could sleep 6 but would be tight. 4 adults were fine. Lovely place and one of the few that allows a 2-night minimum. Put it on your short list!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

The flat is a little distant from the "action" but is very close to public transit and in a very nice neighboorhood. It was nice to return to a home in an area that felt a bit safer. The home is very close to quaint shops and pubs. The owners were available by phone for any questions we had during our stay. The home was fairly clean, though there was some dust, crumbs, pennies etc when we pulled out the couches into beds. The kitchen was fully stocked. I would definately return to this location or recommend it to a friend.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: After reading this post we informed our maid to make sure she is checking the couch during the cleanings. We hope our guest reach out to us during their stay if they find any problems so that we can make adjustments to make their stay more comfortable.

Our family of four stayed here for 10 days. With two teenage boys we had plenty of room and privacy and all of the extra amenities we would need. Breakfast was just a short two block walk. Yoga was four blocks and any groceries for late night snacks could always be found at Whole Foods. We loved starting our day wondering around town ( neat shopping, Farmers market, bakeries and the restaurant Toast) and then heading off on our days adventures only to come home to the same comfortable bed and quiet neighborhood every night. It made the trip perfect.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

This condo is as nice as advertised. Extremely comfortable, spacious, and located in the heart of Noe Valley. A very short walk from numerous great restaurants and shops, a Whole Foods Market, a Farmer's Market (on Saturdays), and the MUNI's J-line. The owners agreed to let our party check in a few hours early, which was extremely convenient for us, and shows how accommodating they are. We were also able to park our vehicle right out front without a problem. Extremely quiet neighborhood at night. We would definitely rent this property again and we recommend it without hesitation. A great experience!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

The apartment was clean, comfortable and in a wonderful location near to all amenities in 26th Street, which is great for eating and shopping. The building itself was charming and the apartment was beautifully decorated. We also managed to find street parking right opposite (though this might not always be the case) and public transport was very convenient. I sent several emails to the owners querying aspects of the rental and their replies were always prompt and courteous. I would definitely rent this property again if I ever stay in the area in future.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We stayed at this Noe Valley condo 6/15/12-6/19/12 and absolutely enjoyed it. Great neighborhood-feel, parking spot (!), and short walk to many shops/restaurants/grocery store. We loved the Mediterranean food at Joe's Diner and the convenience of having a Whole Foods Market so close. The three sleeping areas made this condo more cost-effective and private than a hotel. Neighbors were friendly, great morning runs at nearby park (on Dolores), and easy access to the city attractions. Our group consisted of a 48 year old mom, 14 year old son, and 72 year old grandmother; we highly recommend it.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

The place was clean and was advertised accurately. Kitchen was spacious and had all the necessary gadgets except a blender. The location is very close to downtown Noe which was very nice. The TV was only limited to a few channels and the second bedroom had a TV but not cable or antenna feed. The master bedroom had no dresser to unpack our clothes. This is why I cannot give it an excellent review.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: Since this review we have actually added extended cable service to all Bedrooms and the living room. We had not realized it but the cable box was not functioning at the time this reviewer stayed. Once we were made aware of the problem it was remedied.

About the owner: We are two high-tech professionals who live in nearby Silicon Valley but love to spend free time in San Francisco and enjoy the city. We enjoy traveling and exploring new places. We hope to share a little slice of a lesser known San Francisco by listing this flat.
Why the Owner Chose Noe Valley:
We enjoyed living in this flat for years before listing it. We sometimes stay there to remember the lovely time we had living in Noe Valley. We are still great friends with neighbors we met during our time there.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Nothing is more relaxing than waking up, walking 2 blocks to Martha's coffee shop and watching the people, dogs and baby strollers go by. Martha's employee know each regular patron by name. When we bring our young children with us we always stop by Pixie Hall Studios for some artful fun. Eric's Gourmet Chinese restaurant on Church street is always a favorite of ours when dining out. We enjoy the farmer's market where we buy fresh and organic fruits and vegetables. Napa Valley's famous Plump Jack Winery has a shop in our neighborhood where you can get exclusive offers of premium California wines.
