Ocean front, first floor (for easy access no stairs to climb no elevator on site.) studio with all NEW furnishings including king size bed, over sized dresser, bedding, towels, fold-out futon bed, 4 person dinning table, 46' wall mounted HD flat screen TV, computer and color printer with scanner (connected to the TV), Ipod ready stereo,2 New Bikes, microwave, convection oven, coffee maker and bean grinder, as well as new dishes and silverware, ceiling fans, handheld shower wand, blow dryer, hair straightener, Roomba robot vacuum, boogie boards, snorkels and masks, fishing gear, beach towels, sand toys, Frisbee, binoculars (to see the dolphins that swim by right outside the sliding glass door) and fixtures throughout the unit. Laundry soap and bleach provided for the onsite laundry facilities.
We as the owners chose this condo for its convenience and better ocean breezes and the sound of the ocean compared to other floors. One of our favorite things to do in the evenings is to share Mai Tais while watching the sunset from the couch until the light of the moonshine, warm breeze and breaking of the waves lull us to sleep. This unit is extremely convenient; assigned parking right outside, one minute walk to the Magic Sands beach on the left or the tree studdede park on the right. This is our personal vacation spot and we strive to make this condo as nice as we can for ourselves and you as our guest! We really wanted to have everthing you would need for a fun time with out having to go shopping for equipment and then having to leave it behind due to the over weight suit cases. So come and enjoy. Maholo

We arrived with the idea we were going to decpmpress and get out to "bake our bones in the sun". We had a great time the last time we stayed at Kona Magic Sands and this condo did not let us down. The listing was as advertised. The property was clean and at the level I would expect if you came to visit my house. The adjoining restaurant next door was nice to go to and sit out to watch the body surfers and boogie boarders. While here we went to Volcanoes National Park, The I'miloa Observatory at the University of Hawaii campus, 2 breweries, snorkeled twice, went boogie boarding, sailing, swam in the pool and had a great time. The king sized bed was comfortable and sleeping was easy. We would be back tomorrow if time permitted.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

Great location right on the Ocean next to Magic Sands beach with fantastic sunsets every night. Anthony's by the Sea restaurant located within the property offering oceanfront gourmet dining. The unit had every conceivable toy needed to enjoy watersports, fishing and cycling as well as computer, printer,Ipod dock and big screen T.V. I don't think anyone would be disappointed...all around great spot.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+.

This condo was perfect for the Kona portion of our Big Island adventure. My sons and I stayed at the Magic Sands condo for 7 days and enjoyed the close proximity to the ocean, several great snorkelling beaches, shops and restaurants. Debbie and David were great hosts and made the entire reservation process hassle-free and very professional. The condo itself is well-equipped with amenities such as a big-screen tv with cable, internet access, fresh towels, and beach gear. I would definitely recommend a stay here to my friends.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers.

My husband and I just arrived home after spending 10 glorious days in this ocean front condo. We've stayed at three different places in Kona and I must say this was by far the most wonderful place to spend our Hawaiian vacation. It felt like home to us. The condo has everything you could possibly want and more! Snorkel gear, chairs, beach towels, large flat screen tv, computer, printer, bikes, a kitchen full of equipment...everything! PLUS, the water heater was large and we never once had to take a cold shower! The sunsets were impeccable and Magic Sands Beach is inches from the door. And falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean is something I will never forget. The complex as a whole was very peacefull - we never heard a sound from others staying in the condo's around ours. It was like we had the entire place to ourselves! David and Debbie were so great to work with. Booking the condo with them was a breeze - I would give them 5 stars for their professionalism and their hospitality! We never had to contact the Building Manager as we had everything we needed at our fingertips. Like the previous review, we also hate to give this condo 5 stars as we're afraid it will always be booked when we return. Don't think twice about staying in this condo, you will never regret it!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway.

Our studio condo was just perfect for the two of us. The view was stunning, and the amenities were beyond our expectation! The condo was well furnished, with everything you could possibly want, in fact our grandchildren who were staying nearby were jealous of the beautiful flat screen TV and computer set up we had. The condo and property was so clean and kept up, the ground manager was most helpful and friendly. The owners were beyond great to work with. A bus comes by regularly to go to Kona - two public beaches - one on either side of site. We found great food nearby and cooking in was possible too. Recommended highly.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

We thoroughly enjoyed the comforts of the cozy, beautifully decorated and very clean Magic sands condo. This vacation was a celebration of our 25th anniversary and we will definitely stay here again. So many nice features - the comfortable bed and linen, excellent big screen TV with PC attached (we brought our laptop and wi-fi worked great in the condo or by the pool), abundant towels, great shower, well stocked kitchen and beach supplies - chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and great quality snorkel gear (we brought our own but won't need to next time) and new bikes. Great furnishings - carpet could be updated. Enjoyed the main floor easy accessibility. Lori the building manager was most friendly and helpful. Watched sunsets and dolphins right outside the sliding glass door. I am a light sleeper and thought the ocean waves would keep me awake but it was not a problem at all - the sounds of the waves was very soothing. I was a little disappointed that there is no access to the lawn/pool from the sliding glass doors but it proved to be a minor issue as the pool access door was just a few steps around the corner of the condo. I am an avid snorkeller and found the reef right in front of Magic Sands to be as good as anywhere for number and variety of fish (be mindful of the surf - there are calmer places to snorkel). However, the convenience of such a lovely beach right beside Magic Sands was irrisistable. We rented a kayak from the shop across the street from Kahalu'u beach down the street (yellow sign) - best prices ($39 for a double).Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers.

Debbie and Dave were pleasant, communicative, responsive and a pleasure to deal with. The condo was "as advertised" AND MORE!!! It was VERY CLEAN, well maintained and anything we wanted was found in the condo. The kitchen is well eqiupped ....we bought papaya, avocado and bananas at the farmer's market for breakfast. There's boogie boards, snorkel gear and two new bikes. The 46" flat screen TV and computer were invaluable. I'd use Google Maps to plot our next day's travels and print out the directions. We were able to keep up with our TV viewing watching our shows on Hulu. There was even change for the washer/dryer!!! The location is ideal...just south of Kailua-Kona. On one side of the condo building was a very nice park and on the other side a nice sandy beach. Less than a mile south, is another beach with good snorkeling. A short drive north is the town of Kailua-Kona, with shopping and restaurants. Not far away are grocery stores (Safeway, Walmart, Sack and Save) and even Costco (cheapest gas). About 20 minutes south are more restaurants (Manago's, The Coffee Shack), coffee farms (Greenwells), a chocolate farm/factory (Original Hawaiian Chocolate Factory) and kayaking (Kona Boys) and snorkeling. Many good, reasonably priced restaurants close by: Big Island Grill, U Top It, Bubba Gumps, Bongo Ben's, Island Lava Java, Mike's Just BBQing (best beef brisket and BBQed chicken) and our favority, Jackie Rey's (must try the lilikoi martini!!!). The condo itself was amazing. Beyond the double sliding doors about 20 feet away the surf hits the wall. There's nothing like watching the sunset over the ocean, sleeping to the sound of waves, or waking up to the sun on the water. You can see many snorkelers, kayakers, canoers and boats pass close by (and you can use their binoculars to see further out). And if there is something that you need, Lori the condo manager, was there to provide assistance. We stayed there 10 days and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We would definitely recommend this condo!!!!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, people with disabilities, adventure seekers.

We stayed in this unit in February 2011 for a full month and absolutely loved it! If you like simplicity and not a lot of fuss this is a great place. Small but easy to maintain and has everything you need. We watched whale and dolphin on a daily basis right out side our sliding glass doors. There is a fantasic reef right outside the unit and over to the next cove is some wonderful boarding. We were able to walk down to two different snorkel spots that we loved and found it easily accessable to town by shuttle. I miss it so much! Can't wait to go back! Thanks for a wonderful stay!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

Great place, great location. Our stay here really spoiled us for the rest of our trip to maui and oahu. Very clean, recently remodeled. Great job, by the way! The amenities are way more than we would have expected. The big screen tv and computer are not the norm for rental condo's as far as I know, and the boogie boards, snorkle gear and fishing equipment are just icing on the cake. The little mini flashlights on the nightstands for the late night/early morning trips to the bathroom are pure genius. The fridge and cupboards were stocked with goodies enough to feed a small army when we got there. The only thing missing was a corkscrew. Not a big deal. Googled "how to open a wine bottle without a corkscrew" on the computer with the big screen and opened the bottle with my tennis shoe. Yup, my tennis shoe. Too much work! Bought a corkscrew. Got to watch whales swim by while sitting at the table sipping on a mai tai. I'm almost afraid to give these folks a 5 star + rating for fear that the next time we want to go there it will be booked solid for the next 10 years - as it should. Looking forward to returning for a longer stay.Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.
