My Husband and I spent 5 fabulous days at this beautiful property. It was a real luxury experience! The house is spacious and very clean, comfortable beds, beautiful bathrooms, great views, romantic fireplace and outdoor hot tub, large kitchen with everything you might need...it was absolutely perfect and exceeded our expectations! Better than the photos on line! This home is located in a great area, just a short drive to the downtown and the ski valley but also private and very peaceful. Best location in town! The view from the master bedroom is amazing and if you are lucky enough, you will wake up looking at a herd of elk milling around the spacious yard. An amazing experience! The owners, Kathy and Nick are beautiful people and incredible hosts, they made our trip to Sun Valley unforgettable. Thank you so much for everything! Marta and Mark
Owner response:The house's karma must be pretty good, because we always seem to get wonderful guests, too - like you! I mean, shoveling 18 inches of new snow from BOTH decks, leaving the house looking like it did when you walked in - and those wonderful goodies from Christina's, just because.... What more could we ask for from the vrbo universe? It's people like you who make the system work so well! Please come back! Or we'll come there!

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful Sun Valley home. We had alot of our family with us and our two poodles and there was plenty of room for all. The kitchen was wonderful to cook on the nights we didn't go out. Some of us skied, sled, and just played around. I will tell everyone I know what a great time you can have in this home. This beautiful home should be considered by all who want to enjoy what Sun Valley Id has to offer.
Owner response:Thanks for your kind words, Peggy. I had been sort of reluctant to inquire if you'd had a good time, knowing how (by our standards) dreadful the weather had been while you were in town. I guess it's a compliment for the house when our guests can be content with less-than-ideal weather. We do hope you come back when the sun will welcome you.

This is a great property. We had never gone through VRBO but the experience was wonderful. The on line description is accurate. This home is beautiful, ample room, and allows privacy for everyone staying. The location just north of town is perfect and avoids any of the traffic (though light). The house is about 5 minute ride to Warm Springs and just a bit longer to River Run and also very close to Dollar Mountain and just about anything else. Six of us, all adults, stayed there. The house was in perfect condition. The owners are amazingly helpful. We have stayed at over 10 properties at Sun Valley over the years and this is this one is exceptional!
Owner response:So glad you enjoyed yourselves and the place, Jonathan. And, if there were reviews for guests, we would also award YOU five stars!

My college roommates and I spent 5 days in this house north of Ketchum. The house is beautiful, very well appointed, clean and in a terrific location. The owner is a delight to deal with. I highly recommend this rental.

We enjoyed a 6 person family reunion and found most everything exceeded our expectations. The owners are fastidiously attentive to every detail from the initial inquiry you make to the time of your departure. Everything is well maintained, thoroughly clean and easily accessible. In particular we enjoyed the views from the decks, the easy access to Ketchum/Sun Valley and the absolutely perfect weather. Few places we've stayed for previous reunions can match and NONE exceed this beautiful home. We recommend it with much enthusiasm and without reservation.

Our family spent a delicious and very comfortable Thanksgiving in this home. The beds are divine and with a good night sleep, everyone was in a great mood, appreciating the location of this home, the coziness and the ease of preparing meals (night after night). Great kitchen counter space and well equipped kitchen for family meals. Even with just one oven, we accomplished a full Thanksgiving feast. The owners are very friendly, accomodating and a pleasure to work with.

Two couples stayed at this lovely mountain retreat for four nights and we had a marvelous time. The owner was delightful to work with and the property listing was very accurate. The en suite arrangements of each bedroom offer tons of privacy and complete comfort. Very nicely appointed the house was comfortable, convenient and totally relaxing. The hot-tub and all amenities were in perfect working order and we had no problems at all. The neighborhood is pretty and quiet offering excellent opportunities to walk and take in the natural setting. The house was clean, well furnished and outfitted with everything we needed except food and drinks. Our stay simply could not have been better. We would DEFINITELY stay again.....only longer!!!

Wonderful house for our needs. We had 5 adults and 6 children sleep comfotably in this spacious home. The kids had an absolute blast in and out of the house. The location to Sun Valley and Ketchum is more than convenient and the amenities exceeded our needs. When comparing the quality of the home with the price, I don't believe there is a better value in the area. Thanks Kathy and Nick for everything. We would come back in a heartbeat!!!!!

After a significant amount of "shopping around" we settled on the Gyurkey's home as the base for our family vaction in Sun Valley. And, for once, I actually made a perfect decision. You just can't beat the combined price/value, location and amenities. The home is immaculate, clean and well-appointed in every respect. We felt at home immediately. The kids loved climbing the mountain behind the house (45 minutes to the top and back was the record). They also loved catching fish at Lake Creek lake just a few miles up the road. One of our best family vacations, in a great location, in a wonderful home!

We loved this house!!! The best thing was the location, close to town, close to hiking, and the view was breathtaking!!! The handmade quilts were beautiful, loved the coziness of the home. A wonderful place to vacation, and the neighborhood has a very cute black lab, that my children loved playing fetch with. My son loved the piano. I would highly recommend this home for a nice relaxing vacation!!

Our group of 6 had a great time and we could easily have fit 8. The bedrooms were comfortable, the fireplaces easy to operate, the kitchen fully equipped (we cooked 4 nights at the house), and the skiing was close by (few minutes drive to any of 3 lodges). Atkinson's market in town has a good selection of food. Try the Roosevelt Grill and Rico's for a nice dinner in town. People were very nice and we never had to wait for a ski lift. The snow was a bit light (early Feb) but all of the runs had suffiicient snow thanks to the snow-makers. Would rent again no question.

We stayed at this wonderful house over our Feb break with our three kids, ages 6, 9 and 10. What a perfect place! Lots of room and very cozy and comfortable. It was nice to be at this end of the valley where houses are more spread out and the neighborhood is so peaceful and quiet. The kids loved playing in the snow and the views were spectacular. Extremely clean house with just enough stuff in it to be helpful for the stay. A great family vacation home!

We rented this house over Christmas/New Years 2007. Our family group was 3 couples, 2 five-year-olds and a 7-mos old. The house was perfect for our family. There was a sense of coziness but plenty of space; you never felt you were on top of one another. The house was spotless and uncluttered with owner's personal possessions. There was enough "decoration" to make it feel lived-in, but there were no personal possessions in closets, bathrooms, bureau drawers, etc. There was more than enough space for everyone's things, plus more. The kitchen, too, was uncluttered; there was everyone one needed for providing meals for 10 but not a lot of junk left in the drawers and cabinets. The house is located in a quiet, very nice part of town. We can't say enough about how nice this house is.

Getting to this little piece of heaven on earth was well worth the airline hassels! We had 3 couples and a baby and we spread out all over this big cozy home. It had any and everything you could possible want or need in your vacation home. And it was so CLEAN, which is huge for me. The setting was worth a million dollars. The views out every window was picture postcard worthy. Every person in town that asked us where we were staying, and we replied Lake Creek Rd., commented on how beautiful (and upscale) that area is. You can't go wrong with this rental!

The Gyurkey house in Sun Valley was the perfect house for our Christmas vacation. It is beautiful, comfortable, and welcoming. Each room has a charm of its own, and a view that is stunning. The beds are all comfortable, the linens soft and luxurious. We moved right in and felt immediately at home. It didn't matter if you were sitting by the fire and watching the snow fall, sitting down to dinner in the lovely dining room, watching the constellations move across the night sky from the master bedroom or playing in the snow outside, this house has it all. It is a big house, with lots of space, and yet it feels cozy and warm all the time. We brought our parents to Sun Valley as a Christmas gift and they were not disappointed. We all loved every second of the time we spent in the quiet elegance of this home. A fabulous time was had by everyone. Access to Sun Valley and Ketchum are easy, getting to Baldy to ski takes only a few minutes, the roads are well cared for. I can't say enough about this fabulous house. We hope to return for many years to come. And we'd like to experience it during each season. Thank you Gyurkeys for such a great house where we could spend such a fantastic holiday.

We recently completed a long-dreamt-of remodel of our Sun Valley home, and we are SO happy with the outcome. We added 2,000 sf to the original 2,900 sf and re-did pretty much everything else also, from new carpeting and paint to new bathrooms to new kitchen. The home is just a pleasure - even the plants are jubilant. I just retired, having started, built and sold Sun Valley's largest property management company. And now there are many other wonderful places on earth we want to visit, so we have set up our home especially for others to enjoy in our absence. From our deep knowledge of what renters want we have created a vacation home that will more than meet your needs! And we've done it in such a way that you are quite welcome to bring your canine friend (so long as he/she isn't too YOUNG) - the location/setting of our home is a paradise for dogs as well as humans. We've also made the price mighty fair, so please give us a call and we'll talk about your potential visit. Our first-ever rental was in February 2004. The home is available year 'round. Our preference is a week or more - you can't really get to and enjoy Sun Valley in much less time than that, you'll see - but we can talk about shorter stays too.
