The home features a large gourmet kitchen, with bistro seating for three/four, and dining for up to 10 in Tommy Bahama style formal dining room set. Your basics are already here including condiments, coffee/tea, spices and always bottled waters and a little 'welcome treat' for visitors.
The 900 sq. foot common area downstairs is airy with tall skylights and Tommy Bahama fans to keep you cool. It features a Baby Grand Piano, Pool Table and Fireplace with adjacent grassy yard. Mother-In-Law quarters downstairs with Queen Bed, plenty of storage and private bathroom with shower decorated in Nicole Miller Fleur De Leis Black/White and Burgundy theme.
The well-stocked gourmet kitchen boasts brand new top of the line stainless steel GE Cafe' appliances, Stove/confection oven with warming cooking drawer- Make holiday dinner for 10 in this great kitchen with all the pots, pans and settings for up to 10 guests. Granite counter tops, bar stool seating and breakfast nook. The kitchen and the many living areas are large and open and provide a great setting for entertaining. Gorgeous French doors open up to the private and gated outdoor patio with BBQ and lovely fountain and seating area.
Second floor features a Queen Retreat w/private veranda, and a second bedroom with sleeping for up to three; (bunk beds and single are optional depending on guests) Second floor bathroom is full with shower and tub and even has a view of water outside of the shower window! Like any true Californian, the outdoors is where you might find yourself spending most of your time; the large third deck patio provides several different views of the canals and Naples Island and Marine Stadium. Most people find that 'doing nothing' is just fine...however, if it's entertainment you want, it's all within a 10 minute walk or a 2 minute drive. The popular '2nd Street' is where all of our fine, casual & eclectic dining can be found, along with crafty and unusual boutiques, great shopping and fantastic people watching. The ocean is pretty much all around you in Belmont Shores; look in every direction and there is a beach to be found for a picnic or to kick your feet in the sand. Water sports are everywhere; paddle boards, kayaks, water bicycles are all available for rent. If you want the thrill of the ocean, you can find Whale watching almost year round, full & half day fishing boats, & jet ski rentals. The Naples Canals are like a piece of heaven from Italy but just a short walk or kayak to enjoy the spectacular homes and villas just like Europe. Just walk through, particularly during November and December when the residents go all out to decorate in a magical splendor. It's a great date-night out just viewing the neighborhood homes in Naples and Treasure Islands. If you prefer to tour by BOAT, ask about our $150 Electric Duffy Boat tour w/wine and cheese.
Long Beach is very gay/lesbian friendly as well, so look into some of the local favorite hangouts and festivals available again, all in short walking distance. Red Passport Bus will also take you anywhere for about a dollar.

This home was clean, spacious, and fully equipped with everything we needed. It's close to the popular 2nd Street shops and restaurants, surrounded on both sides with the bay and canals, and close to Disneyland, the LAX and Long Beach airports, beaches, Hollywood, etc. The home was large enough for everyone to have their own private space when needed, and lots of room to gather together for meals and visiting and watching a movie. We enjoyed the hot tub under the stars on the deck when watching the activity around the canals. We had a wonderful week at this home and would recommend it to anyone.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

What an amazing home! It had everything we could ask for! Lots of space for socializing and relaxing. Our favorite spot was the rooftop deck. We spent every morning, late afternoons and evenings there. We enjoyed watching the activities on the water while sitting in the hot tub. Every bathroom was full of nice towels, soaps and shampoo. We made a delicious dinner in the fully equipped kitchen and my daughter entertained us playing the baby grand piano! The house was even better than we expected and would recommend it and would stay there again when we return to Long Beach. Great location for taking walks and close to everything. We spent a day at Laguna beach, Huntington beach, Hollywood, rodeo drive, Disneyland and toured the queen Mary! We had a wonderful stay. The house had plenty of room to spread out and entertain. It was well stocked with all the basics and then some. We loved cruising town on the bikes, paddlng the kayak, and walking to the park with the kids. It was very nice to be able to bring our dog too. Even though it was February, we spent a lot of time grilling and hanging out on the roof deck. The fire pit and hot tub kept us warm. Jode and Don were available and quick to fix the WiFi when we experienced a problem.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

What a great place to spend Christmas and New Year's. The lights around the city were fabulous, especially the canals. The house is very comfortable and set up for family time. The kitchen is well stocked and the amenities were bountiful. The owners could not have been more delightful and more accommodating. We were there for twelve days and the time passed much too quickly. This is a real treasure that you need to experience yourself. I heartly recommend this to anyone who wants to stay in the Long Beach or surrounding areas.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

The house and the location was fantastic for our reunion gathering. We had plenty of space for the six women to sleep, eat and visit then eat and visit some more. The listing photos were accurate and the owner was very helpful in answering questions. We visited the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana, CA to see the Madeline Albright collection of pins. To all weary travelers who do their "due diligence" in research, only to end up staying at a hotel, or home which is significantly less than what was described and sorrowfully below your expectations. Read on. If you are planning a stay near LONG BEACH, California, this would be the home that "surprises" you by surpassing the usual. Not only was this home an ideal central location between our groups cumulative responsibilities in L.A., but as well a quick jaunt to the southern neighboring areas that we traveled. While not one place was on our route more than once, this location was perfect to get "away from it all" when we were done working each day. Although close to major freeways, the area of Belmont Shores/Naples was just quaint enough and just far enough away to make you feel like you were escaping. The town is really nice, unpretentious and with enough conveniences all in a short walks distance, it was enough to make us toss the car keys aside at night and enjoy the local restaurants, sports bars, beaches and activities by foot or by bicycle! (Yes there were enough bikes for all of us, except the lazy one in the group who preferred excessive lounging in the hot tub on the roof-deck) The house is large and spacious enough that we all could feel like we were spread out without being on top of one another after working and traveling together for 3 months straight! The beds were all comfortable, particularly the master that had one of those fancy number beds which was, by the way, comfortable at a setting of 90 as it was at 45! The linens were all nice and the towels were plentiful. Laundry stuff, soaps, shampoos and things we forgot were in each of the baths which was great when we needed band aids, sunscreen, Aloe for the sunburn, Pepto Bismol from the excessive drinking at Legends Sportsbar, and even hair gel and dental floss! The owners left us some treats too. Ice creams in the freezer, bottle of wine, bottled waters and fresh flowers in the rooms! Very nice touches and when we added it all up, we calculated that we would have spent $600 more in hotel rooms had we had to accommodate all of us + over $300 we saved by cooking our own meals in the great kitchen vs. eating out each day, and we saved $15 a day on bike rentals too! No bus fare either! Totally great place. PLUS PLUS PLUS! Highly recommended for all! Thanks Jo and Don for a fantastically "unexpected" visit that turned a work trip into a holiday!!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We booked this house for a conference in Long Beach. The house worked perfect for our vacation/conference. Location was wonderful. The House is just like in the pictures. The owners are very nice and respectful, great people to work with. Naples Island Canal was a awesomely hidden gem. Second Street was a close walk with great shopping and places to eat. The three beaches nearby were also a very easy walk. Clean, quite, and safe neighborhood. The house was perfect for our group of 9. If and when we travel to Long Beach we will definitely check to see if this place is available. We wish we could have stayed longer. Don and Jo went above and beyond anything I could expected with their home. This home is so beautiful and includes so many extra touches. I have rented other beach houses in California every year for the past few years for my birthday, and the jacuzzi, grill and fire-pit on the roof-top deck are one of the many things that make this home by far my favorite, not to mention the breath taking views. It was a great place to socialize with friends and entertain. For the same price as the homes I have rented in the past, this house is much bigger and includes so much more. There were so many extras that are not included with most rentals. We were so excited when we saw all of the beach bicycles and the tandem bike brought loads of laughter and fun! There was a kayak as well that we took along the beautiful canals in the area. Along with the basketball hoop, the grand piano, the pool table and all of the supplies to take to the beach such as lawn chairs, boogie boards, towels, coolers, sand toys and more. The master bedroom and bath was amazing and full of beautiful touches. I told the owners that it was my birthday and they had a birthday card and champagne by the Jacuzzi tub which I thought was so sweet. Don & Jo were so accommodating and friendly and had great customer service before, during and after our stay. They are really great people and were such a pleasure to meet! It is apparent that they get happiness from providing great experiences for anyone renting their place. I would recommend this home to anyone that is looking to stay in southern California. It's located right on the beautiful canals in Naples, kayaking through the waters was such a unique and enjoyable experience. Only 10 minute walk (or even shorter bike ride) to the beach and right in the middle between Huntington Beach and Venice Beach which are only a 30 minute drive each way. We were able to spend a day at each of these favorite beaches of ours. This review is going to sould like I own the property but I only wish I did! Not only is the property wonderful, specious and FULLY stocked, but the Jode and Don go above and beyond. I called them to see if they could get me a toaster because the toaster oven was not working for us and there was a new toaster in the kitchen before I got home that night! We rent MANY houses around the world and this will rank amoung the top for many reasons. Right down to the end when I had a problem that landed me in an emergency room, they worked with us....GREAT PEOPLE...GREAT HOUSERecommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
