With fantastic views, this home offers the true mountain living experience, including easy access to some of the best skiing in the Sierras. The house comfortably sleeps twelve, with three bedrooms, three baths, plus bonus room. Our home is newly furnished including a 46' flatscreen TV, and for those who can't be out of touch with the rest of the world, there is free wireless internet access. Guest passes provide access to the Tahoe Donner Association, including the newly remodeled clubhouse and many other recreation opportunities.
This spacious house has a beautiful living room with pine ceilings, a wood burning stove, and large picture windows with a view of the mountains. The kitchen is well equipped and opens to the dining area and living room. The kitchen table extends to seat 10. There is a large deck for barbecuing and outdoor dining in the summer. Upstairs are two master bedrooms, each with an attached bath. The first master has a king size pine sleigh bed and extensive views. The second master has a queen bed plus a daybed with trundle. Downstairs is a third bedroom with a queen size bed. There is a third full bathroom available off the downstairs hallway. The large, separate bonus room provides privacy and can be used as a 4th bedroom. The bonus room has a queen sleeper sofa and a bunk bed. The tiled entryway is perfect for removing your snow gear before entering the house.
Our summer guests have immediate access (1 1/2 blocks away) to the extensive Tahoe Donner hiking and mountain biking trails and the Equestrian Center. And your guest passes allow you access (with a small fee) to the private beach and boathouse on Donner Lake, the two Tahoe Donner Clubhouses with pools, and the tennis courts. And Lake Tahoe is just 20 minutes away.
For winter guests, snowshoeing and cross country skiing are literally just out our door, as we are minutes from Tahoe Donner's extensive X-Country ski trails and the Tahoe Donner Downhill ski slope (great for beginners and new skiers). For serious downhill skiers, Northstar, Alpine Meadows, Sugar Bowl and Squaw Valley are just 15-20 minutes away.
The extensive Tahoe Donner amenities also include the beautifully remodeled Trout Creek Clubhouse, with heated lap pool , hot-tubs, sauna and steam rooms and the expanded fitness center with its weight machines, exercise bikes, rowing machines,---and other exercise classes. All amenities are accessible with your guest passes - and a small guest fee.
Our home is newly furnished, and for those who can't be out of touch with the rest of the world, there is free wireless internet access. This cabin is well appointed and comfortable with plenty of linens, fully set up kitchen, beautiful deck and views out back, and lots of sleeping options. Everything was clean and organized - made it easy to settle in, and leave smoothly! Good location that made it convenient to get to the slopes. Also allowed us to check out Truckee - cute historic downtown with good eating options that made a nice change from staying at one of the ski resorts. We will be back - looked like it would be lovely in the summer too!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We stayed at this Cabin for New Years, and absolutely loved it, it was very clean and very well maintained. In our group there were 6 adults and 2 kids, honestly if we had known about the bonus room and how large it was we would have inlcuded another couple!! The owner was very helpful and answered every one of my emails promptly, which i really appreciated! I would definiltey consider coming back :)Recommended for: Families with young children.

This rental house was perfect for our Labor Day get away with my family and friends. Lots of room. Very clean. Easy to find since we had never been to Lake Tahoe before. It slept 12 perfectly and we had so much fun at the beach. We grilled on the porch and played games at night. We for sure will return for another get away weekend! The family that owns the house are very nice and easy to work with as well. I have stayed at this property twice now, one time in the spring, and once in winter and hope to keep coming back! The house is big and beautiful with all the comforts of home. The porch is fantastic to barbeque and soak in the woods and view of the Sierras. The house was immaculate when we arrived and we had no problems while there. The house is near skiing (Squaw Valley!!!), restaurants and sites in and around the cute and accessible town of Truckee. By the way, Truckee has some really good restaurants, some a bit pricey, but definitely upscale and others more moderate and homey. After skiing (or not) the house comes with guest passes for the spa down the street - a nice soak in the outdoor hot tub and all is right with the world. I would highly recommend this house - roomy, well laid out, luxurious and very convenient.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our family visited Tahoe for a week this fall and rented this cabin in Truckee. The house was perfect for our needs - it had plenty of space for us to hang out and sleep comfortably, it was super clean and well maintained, and we really enjoyed our time hiking and exploring the area. The cabin is very close to the supermarket, shops, and hiking trails yet at the same time we felt like we were in the wilderness. The view was incredible and it was very peaceful. The cabin is equipped with board games, books, TV, etc. Highly recommended, we will definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This is our new 'home' when visiting Tahoe, no need to search around anymore. We've stayed here twice, and look forward to staying again. I've got to get organized and figure out some dates! - spotless, even the towels are hung nicely - comfy beds - kitchen has new everything, very complete utensils and cooking supplies (and I like to cook) - owner answered my questions quickly and completely, she was easy to reach - living/kitchen/dining room MUCH larger than expected, a great space, everyone can really stretch out - the driveway is short and *level* Yay! We also appreciated the large entry/mud room that had plenty of storage.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

What a great house to base your winter or summer vacation in! It's spacious - easily fits one, or two families with plenty of storage space for all; clean and fresh - just refurbished with new carpets, fresh paint, furniture, linens and kitchen cookware; has a great location - easy access to Tahoe Donner, Northstar or other ski locations, as well as shopping; and says "I'm in the mountains" inside and out with its charming mountain decor and just wonderful, unobstructed views out the back. The kids loved the big TV in the great room, while the adults were quite happy to sit cozily around the wood-burning stove. A full-sized garage means you don't have to shovel out your car after it snows, and makes it easy to load and unload every day. This is a house to go back to over and over again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This home was actually larger than we expected and suited our situation perfectly--2 families-4 kids. The bonus room was a great haven for the kids-close to us but quietly separated from the main living room. Large dining table accommodated all 8 of us easily. We stayed for winter ski trip--it is located very close to several of our favorite ski resorts. Short/flat driveway-perfect for the snowy weather we experienced.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
