Why the Owner Chose Paris Arrondissement 9
I grew up in the building where my apartment is located. I have always enjoyed its quiet and friendly atmosphere. People now each other, are well-behaved and the building is safe and perfectly maintained. Two years ago, I had the opportunity to buy the apartment. Before moving in, I completely remodeled it. The bathroom and kitchen have been completely redone and the apartment is now spacious and comfortable. It has retained its ancient character with its old wooden floor, high ceilings, and nice moldings. A year ago, I started renting it occasionally to foreign visitors. People appreciate it and I now do it more frequently.
The Unique Benefits of this Apartment
My love for the Montmartre area is unconditional. I consider myself very lucky to live here ! During week-ends, I particularly enjoy shopping at the open air market of the rue Lepic and having a cup of coffee afterwards in one of the many cafés of rue des Abbesses. On Saturday and Sunday mornings, this a regular meeting place for people in the neighborhood, I am always sure to meet friends or acquaintances. It’s one of the things I appreciate about the area: it has a village-like quality. People know each other and care for each other. This is particularly true of the small district of rue Mansart where my apartment is located and the adjacent streets. Although close to Montmartre (it takes a few minutes to get to the bottom of the hill), these are not particularly touristic streets. Ordinary Parisians live here, work, shop, take their children to school. Many of them, like myself, have lived there for a long time. When I travel abroad I particularly appreciate sharing local people’s ordinary life. Staying in my apartment offers you this opportunity.

The apartment is very cosy, and it is exactly as described on the website. Well-equipped kitchen. Perfect for two people. Quick walk to two metro stations. Safe residential neighborhood. The only negative is that it's on the 1st floor, and although the courtyard is very quiet and secluded, you can hear people walking by your windows in the morning on the way to work. But very quiet most of the time.
Recommended for:Age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car.
