The Powder Creek Lodge we stayed in was beautiful, clean, very neat and fit our family's needs perfect. We had a great time. It is close enough to town you could get there quickly but yet you enjoyed the quiet country setting of the cabin nestled in the timber with all the beauty. Our cordinator, Beth , was great , very helpful and available. I would highly recommend staying in the cabins. Plan to do it again some time.

My group and I had a great time at this home over a long weekend. The house is extremely clean and all the furnishings seem brand new. There are 3 bedrooms and 1.5 baths in the basement and the master bedroom is on the main level. There are two twin beds upstairs in an open loft area. The kitchen may be the most impressive area in the house, very large and high-end, spared no expense. The deck area is awesome and proved to be extremely relaxing. Luckily for us, the weather was absolutely perfect.

This exquisitely beautiful home is absolutely perfect for anyone looking to ditch the day-to-day run-around and soak their senses in complete and utter relaxation. The wide-open layout and plentiful sleeping quarters make this rental ideal for large families or groups of friends. The back yard opens up to an expansive, peaceful wooded area with a small creek that allows you to drift far away from emails, conference calls and nagging clients. But, if you plan on mixing in some much-needed libations with your relaxation, this home provides ample opportunity with it's close proximity to downtown Asheville, which is home to several world-class restaurants and pubs. The home also boasts modern appliances, wifi and satellite television to give you the security of being connected on your own terms. Everything is extremely clean and comfortable, and the location is the perfect mix of 'away from it all' and 'right there.' This place is a 'must stay!'

This wonderful timber framed home is set in a beautiful and quiet gated neighborhood. It has great space for a group to get together and enjoy the weekend. It slept our group of ten adults really comfortably. The space lends itself well to entertaining because of an open floor plan from the kitchen into the den/living room. Wonderful deck out back for morning coffee too! This home is located ten or fifteen minutes from downtown Asheville, NC. It was a wonderful location for our group because of its quiet location and close proximity to the city. We were able to stay in one evening and go out for dinner in Asheville the other. Anybody with a large group looking for to spend some time in a beautiful mountain home would not be disappointed with the choice to rent this property!

This house is really impressive. From the handcrafted wood ceilings to the expansive balcony to the cutting-edge kitchen, it is truly a home built with the purpose of inspiring relaxation and comfort. We had a group of (10) and between the actual beds and the (2) air beds that were supplied everyone had a place to sleep. The neighborhood is beautiful and secure. Neighbors were quiet and not invasive. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

2 couples spent the weekend at this great house south of Asheville. No creature comfort is spared, plenty of room, the house could have easily accomodated another couple or some kids. We spent alot of time on the huge porch, or cooking in the fabulous kitchen. Would love to come back.

My sister rented this out for my ladies weekend before I got married and, wow, I was really blown away by this place! The house is brand new and beautiful on the inside. There is a huge kitchen, which came in handy for making dinner one night. Also, we ended up going tubing on the nearby Green River, which I also highly recommend--in combination with staying at this house--for a relaxing and fun weekend!

This home is truly luxurious and very comfortable! The photos do it justice - it is immaculate and spacious. The kitchen is beautiful and well equipped if you plan on doing some cooking. The back deck is covered and is perfect for enjoying an outdoor meal or a quiet cup of coffee in the morning. We had a larger group (12) for a wonderful girls weekend there in July and the sleeping arrangements were great. Everyone was comfortable and I even traveled with a baby who slept well in one of the downstairs bedrooms and wasn't bothered by any upstairs noise. There are hiking trails literally in the back yard and while the neighboring houses are close, it is a quiet, peaceful neighborhood and is just 15 minutes away from downtown Asheville. We would love to stay at Powder Creek again!

This wonderful mountain retreat is seemingly bran new. New architecture, fixtures, flooring, etc. Massive wood beams make the living room seem huge. The neighborhood is super secure with a gate. Other new houses going up around however we never heard any construction noise. This house is HUGE!!!. We loved the close proximity to Asheville and everything this area has to offer. Highly recommend!!!

Comfortable, well-kept, peacefully seclusive. The quieting ambience of the woods and the nearby creek give the cabin an old-world feel, but gift-wrapped in a warm, welcoming, modern setting. You walk in, and instantly want to stay longer than you originally booked. Great place to relax, to read, to get away. And still only a short driving distance from downtown Asheville. Great place to vacation, just don't expect to leave easily. Recommend to anyone.

Powder Creek first off is an amazing home. The minute you walk in you feel as if your in the mountains out west! This place has everything and more to offer. I myself, love log homes and this is by far the nicest i've ever seen/been in. The huge back porch is a perfect spot for rocking chairs and the view is something else. Not only is it a great home but the location can't be beat. It's the perfect distance away from downtown Asheville where if you want to get away from everything you can. I strongly recommend this beautiful place.

I was very impressed by this cabin. I could not believe how nice and clean it was when we arrived. The view out the back porch is beautiful with the creek running just outside. We could not have found a more perfect cabin for out stay in Asheville. It is great for families or couples, plenty of room. I would recommend this cabin to anyone who wants to spend a little time in the woods but still be very close to town.

Our stay at Powder Creek was simply spectacular; what an amazing home! The timber frame is absolutely stunning, creating the feel and ambiance of a mountain lodge. Plenty of gathering space for sharing and visiting, yet also private spaces and nooks to escape with a good book and/or your iPod. The forest setting is calming and private, and the walking paths along, over and around the stream are invigorating; such a beautiful setting for an awesome retreat homestead. Steve was a gracious and accommodating host; thanks!! We will certainly be back again next year.
