Cascade house description
Your experience at this newly built , incomparable onsen in the American West will keep you coming back to rejuvenate. Set in Long Valley under the Payette River Mountains, this property features spectacular views from every angle. Its three acres are fenced in rustic logs and adjacent to a working cattle ranch in Idaho. “The Spa House” offers sunny days, clean air, beautiful star-watching, and, most of all, clean, natural geothermal water for soaking.
Whether you're looking to get away from busy city life, or you’re in need of miraculous geothermal water therapy after a powder day on the mountain, you have it here: all to yourself! The indoor geothermal tub is comfortable for one or two people and the
outdoor tub accommodates up to twelve people. There are three bedrooms and three full bathrooms in addition to the indoor soaking room. One bedroom features a double-sink,
jet tub and walk-in closet, another a queen-sized Murphy bed. It doubles for a therapy room with a massage table, should you wish to call in a massage therapist. So does the upstairs “Red Room” with a day bed and trundle beneath. The house décor is mostly Asian. All bathrooms have marble tile. The concrete floor downstairs is geothermally heated in winter. The second floor hall, sitting room, and bedrooms are carpeted. The downstairs bathroom has a 'not to miss' Japanese Toto washlet toilet.
This space of tranquility is perfect for couples, a group of friends, or families who desire fresh mountain air, sunny days and sounds of nature. There is radio but no TV. One can choose to stay put in this peaceful space for the entire time OR partake in river rafting on the Payette River (3 miles to the Cabarton Run), hiking, biking, riding, skiing, swimming, sailing, snow-mobiling, or other sports. Shopping or dining in McCall or casual dining in Cascade make it easy if you decide not to cook on the fabulous English Aga stove at The Spa House.
The Spa House is 80 miles north of Boise, 30 miles south of McCall, three miles to Cascade, 17 miles from Tamarack Resort, five minutes to Cascade Lake, and ten minutes from the “Cabarton Run” at the bridge on the north fork of Payette River.

Loved the location!
Loved the location!
The house is beautiful, the hot springs are very neat, and the location is secluded and gorgeous! We stayed in the spa house for 4 nights, we were in Cascade for our cousin's wedding, and couldn't have stayed in a more perfect place! My husband, 18 month old daughter and I rented the house and stayed there with my mom, sister, her husband and their 1 year old son. The house is pretty kid friendly (we did move some decorative items to higher ground so they did not get wrecked) and the walk in closet in the master was the perfect quiet "mini bedroom" for our daughter. We went in the hot springs every evening and it was the perfect way to unwind before bed. I hope that we will be able to return to the spa house again someday!

Peace and Quiet
Peace and Quiet
My two children, 12 and 16, and I had a wonderful time. We felt like we had our own mini pool to enjoy in complete privacy. Thank you so much for teaching us how to pick huckleberries. Lake Cascade was fun. My daughter's highlight was "riding the bull" with Cascade Raft and Kayak. Thank you for the recommendation. We love how the house is arranged. If we are ever in Cascade again, we will definitely be staying with you. And I LOVED the oven. Silly, I know, but I love to cook on vacation.

Fantastic views and your own private hot mineral spring pool. It would have been a 5 star stay if: the kids had something to do ( no tv, no internet, no video games...it had 2 puzzles and one deck of cards, young kids can only contemplate about nature for some long); if the living room furniture had been comfortable; if there had been a toaster; if there had been a blender; if the towels were soft and newer.

Manager response: Indeed there is no internet, no video games and no TV. This is intentional. At your fingertips, there is Lake Cascade for swimming, boating, fishing, water-skiing. There are mountains for hiking, picking huckleberries (an Idaho favorite). There is the Payette River for rafting. There is horseback riding, zip-lining, golfing, mountain biking and the list continues. No adult or child need be "contemplating nature" when he or she can be active in this natural wonderland. Indeed, one can create his or her own video game: only it's reality. The list doubles when adding the winter season of skiing, sledding, ice-skating, visiting the Ice Carnival in McCall, snowshoeing, snow- mobiling, and, yes, watching the wildlife all year long. This "American onsen" was built in clean air, with marvelous views and natural, geothermal water in a private circulating pool: no chlorine, but constant flow from the earth back to the creek. The kitchen has been supplied with the desired blender and toaster. And we just bought a small TV with a video application for those that like to view videos. We desire for our guests of all tastes to have what they need for the most enjoyable stay.
