  I brought my wife and two young kids to the Aspen Ski Loft for some sledding. We came the week after skiing ended so we'd have the slopes to ourselves. We had a ball! You can literally cross the street and be on the ski slope in minutes. The house was clean and cozy, exactly what we'd hoped for. The main level has a living room, kitchen, and two bedrooms each with a queen bed. There is also a family room and another queen bed on the lower level. Plenty of room for our needs. It's located on top of the mountain so the view on clear days was breathtaking. It's walking distance from a handful of shops and restaurants in the quaint ski village that is the town of Beech Mt. And close driving distance for a few more. It is the perfect cabin for skiers and snow boarders in the winter. I could see where it would also be a great home base for daily activities in the area during the summer. Roger was great to work with too. Very good customer service skills. We fully intend on renting again.

  My wife, two sons and I had a wonderful time at the Aspen Ski Loft. The owners were VERY helpful and attentive to our needs and in general. We got snowed in the first two nights, and had a very cozy experience bonding with our boys. The Loft looks small from the outside, but has plenty of room for a family of four, and I don't thinks 6 would be too many. The wood pellet fireplace was a first for us, but SO much easier than having to lug logs to the fireplace and it was just as warming and provided that ambience that a regular log fireplace would. Our proximity to Beech Mountain and Sugar Mountain ski resorts was critical and this loft provided easy access to both. If there is ANY snow or ice, you must have chains or 4WD; the guest two doors up from us, had to park their two wheel drive at the bottom of the hill and walk in and out. I highly recommend this rental property, and will be passing the link to my friends.

We are glad you enjoyed the wood pellet fireplace. Yes, it is SO much easier to use rather than a traditional fireplace with lugging in firewood from outside. Simply adjust the thermostat to the temperature you desire, and in about 10 minutes you have a nice warm real wood fire! And yes, the proximity to skiing at Beech Mountain and Sugar Mountain is great. Since the Aspen Ski Loft is located right on the slopes of Beech Mountain, all that is needed is to walk down the steps of the Aspen Ski Loft, walk across the steps, and you are on the slopes! And Sugar Mountain is only 4 miles away! And yes, a 4WD or All-Wheel Drive or chains are a must during winter months, especially when the snow making equipment is in operation.   We rented the Aspen Ski Loft for a week in March 2013 and were very pleased with the amenities as well as location. The property is directly across the street from the top of the Lower Shawneehaw slope at Ski Beech. It was extremely convenient to grab our skis from the deck and take a few steps out to the slope. The home itself had modern amenities and we especially enjoyed the "wood pellet" fireplace which was simple to operate and very economical when you consider a 40 lb bag of pellets was only $6.00. I highly recommend this home to anyone interested in a cozy and spacious home just steps from the slope.

We enjoyed watching the grandchildren in view from the cabin getting off the ski lift and skiing down the mountain. However, we were not counting on four days of snowing which presented a handicap going up and down the many series of steps at the cabin and also digging out the car to go anywhere. On the other hand, we laughed exceedingly throughout the days at the amusement of watching many, many cars including the snow grader sliding around and digging out of the curve near the cabin! We would like to add a comment on a particularly vendor, and that is Fred's General Store whose reception was fantastic.

  Our family of 4 had a wonderful five night stay at the Aspen Ski Loft. The owners were highly responsive, well organized, and clearly committed to making sure everything went smoothly. The description of the place is accurate as are the pictures. The house was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The panaromic views from the first and second floor of the Aspen Ski Loft were amazing. The best part to us was the proximity to not only the ski slopes (you literally walk across the street and put on your skis) but also the little village at the bottom of the road. It was an easy walk to the ski rental place, the sledding hill, the pizza place, and Fred's. We had a good ski rental experience at Beech Meadow Rentals and they had a good combo deal (tickets + rentals).

  We found the Aspen Ski Loft to have an amazing location on top of the Beech Mountain DIRECTLY across from the Lower Shawneehaw chairlift. The Lower Shawneehaw run, and easy "blue" proved to be a favorite for my son, a seven year old snowboarder and daughter, a five year old skier. We especially loved skiing all morning, coming up for lunch/bathroom breaks, and hitting the slopes again afterwards! The cabin was fully equipped for a carefree vacation. We grilled out on the terrace one night, and ate all our breakfasts and dinners in the cabin, saving us a pretty penny on restaurants. Roger and Michele were amazing hosts, answering every question we had, and providing great information on the area. We even called on our way up and the lights were turned on for us! This is definitely one to return to... a great place to stay! Thanks!

  This place was great! It was so nice to walk right across the street and start skiing. We have stayed at other places that claimed to be "walking distance" to the slopes which actually turned out to be a short hike, and by the time we lugged our equipment there we were exhausted. This cabin was clean and cozy. We had all the amenities of home and prepared all our meals there, which saved us a lot of money. There were six of us and we all slept comfortably. My 13 year old son and his 14 year old friend enjoyed having their "own space" on the bottom level. My 21 year old daughter skis but does not love it like the rest of the family, so she enjoyed being able to stop whenever she wanted and walk easily to the cabin. The owners made everything easy for us with clear directions and instructions. The keyless, coded entry was great because none of us had to carry keys or wait to be let in. The Aspen Ski Loft helped make this one of our best ski vacations ever!

That is a great time and energy saver to not have to drive to the parking lot of Beech Mountain Resort, or not to have to lug your equipment on a short hike. Being able to easily walk back to the Aspen Ski Loft for lunch or when someone gets tired of skiing is a great convenience. Thank you for your compliments about the Aspen Ski Loft being stocked with all the amenities you needed for your trip to Beech Mountain. This is our personal vacation home, and we enjoy sharing it with guests when we are not using it. Yes, the lower level with its own sleeping nook works out great for teenagers. They enjoy having their own space away from Mom and Dad, with their own TV and DVD player, but yet they are still close by. Thank you for your compliments about being easy to work with and providing very clear directions. I work very hard to make the reservation process as easy as possible, and to give our guests all the information that is needed for a relaxing stay. Yes, the electronic key pad door locks are great! Not having to stop by a property manager's office to get a key, and not having to worry about losing a key is great. And when you leave, your door code expires, so no one has to worry about a previous guest coming back for an unannounced visit!   We arrived in the middle of a snow storm and had to turn back to get chains on our tires but we finally made it up to Beech. The loft was easy to find and perfect for our family. Our 3 kids, ages 8, 10, and 13, loved how close it was to the sledding hill. The view of the mountains lit up at night was gorgeous. It was so relaxing sitting at the kitchen table on my laptop, thankful for wifi. The fireplace was easy to operate and kept the place warm. The house was immaculate and my 8 year old thought that it was decorated as nice as our own house! We hope to be able to stay again in the future and will be recommending it to anybody we know who might be visiting Beech Mountain. Thank you Michele and Roger!

  Our stay at Ski Loft Villa was everything we expected and more. Our main purpose for the trip was to catch the changing colors and that's exactly what we got ( the mountain views from the loft were also amazing!) A short drive down the mountain and you are on the Blueridge Parkway that takes you Grandfather Mountain ($18.00 per peson, but worth it) or Blowing Rock. The cavern tour was also fun, our guide Nina was great! Plenty of great restaurants to chose from and locals were very inviting. Staying at the loft was just like a home away from home and can't wait to return and will definitely recommend it to our friends and family. If you are a skier this is the place for you, no kidding the ski lift is actually right outside the front door! Thanks again for the opportunity to stay at your home away from home. April

When inquiring, please review the Vacation Rental Agreement, which tells more about the Aspen Ski Loft, and contains the terms and conditions of your stay.

Two weeks prior to your arrival, when the final payment is made, the owners will send an e-mail containing important documents which are recommended you print and take with you to the Aspen Ski Loft.
