  My husband and I stayed in this wonderful apartment for two weeks this spring. The apartment is in a well kept, quiet building on the Promenade des Anglais. It is on the ground floor, however it is slightly raised from ground level. What this means is that one can sit in the spacious kitchen and look out the door to the garden and see all of the action on the Promenade. We watched the Nice half marathon while having breakfast...what a treat. The garden is a special delight. Not many people are fortunate enough to have a beautiful oasis in the city. Although the apartment is described as spacious in the VRBO description, this description does not do it justice. The apartment is huge. The well equipped kitchen is a joy for anyone who likes to cook. For those who prefer not to cook, the location is a joy because of the plethora of fine restaurants within walking distance. There are two supermarkets and four bakeries a stones throw away. The apartment is comfortably furnished with a generous supply of towels and bed linens.The bedroom has an air conditioner and a very comfortable bed..There is more than enough storage space. Norma, the owner, is very responsive and very easy to deal with. Her representative, Katia, is equally easy to deal with with. We will definitely return within the next few years. This little slice of heaven in the big slice of heaven that is the French Riviera is not going to get away from us. Thank you Norma for a wonderful stay.

  My wife and I spent Christmas week at Norma's apartment. We were very happy with the facilities and location. Even though the apartment is right on the main boulevard, the shutters and heavy blinds provided quiet solitude for sleeping. And having the bus stop close by was fantastic for catching direct routes to all the major attractions in the area. The location is very convenient. The apartment was very clean, private, and spacious. The bed and living room comfortable. The kitchen well provisioned. Katie the house keeper was prompt, courteous, simply perfect. Honestly, I'd rather not write such a review, I'd rather keep spots like this to myself. Thank you Katie and Norma for a lovely visit to Nice and the South of France. Will Howery

  We have been in four in this flat. It was really spacious, for all of us and very clean. The kitchen included everything we needed, and it had an outstanding view of the sea, plus a door to go directly in the private garden of the flat. The flat is 10 min. walking from the center of the old Nice, and the best is – front line, literally 1 min walking from the beach. We all loved this place and we will for sure go back again.

  Nous avons grandement apprécié notre séjour dans cet appartement. Il est super bien situé et près de tout. Nous avons un accueil chaleureux de la propriétaire et nous a donné toutes les infos requises pour bien visiter la région de Nice.

  Just a lovely apt exactly as shown in the photos so clean and amazingly well equipped and right in the heart of Nice, cross from the beach and close to everything. Beautiful entrance way as elegant as our wonderful Hostess Norma. There is even free parking yet we never used our car just left it parked. We enjoyed many wonderful meals on the patio/yard and walked to wonderful restaurants, the market and hopped on the bus to art galleries and to Monaco, A/C worked beautifully as this was a hot summer. Thanks again to Norma and do hope we get to return soon. cheers...ZWS

  We were looking for a two-bedroom apartment on Promenade des Anglais and found this very listing, at 49 Promenade des Anglais. Right from the very start it was very easy to deal with Norma, the owner. Check-in and check-out instructions were clear, payment procedure was reasonable and very clear. Not a hitch! The apartment itself is excellent in all respects.It is located in a nice, clean building. There is a kitchen packed with all the utensils you may need. There is a nice view of the Mediterranean and there is a big provate garden for your pleasure: you can suntan, read or have coffees there. There is WIFI there and it is FAST. You only need to figure out how to input the code (there are instructions in the apartment). It is right in the center of the Promenade, a two-minute walk from Negresco hotel. There is an entrance to the Intermarche supermarket right from the side street.Just cross the Promenade and you can enjoy the walk or the jog along the sea. There are cafes and restaurants everywhere around the building. And, if you are a walker you can go to the Farmer's market every day (closed Monday) to get fresh fruit and cheeses for breakfast. It takes just 15 minutes to walk there and it is a nice morning walk. Basically, you can walk to all the nice places in Nice from the building. Norma was not there when we rented the apartment from her. It does not mean that she left us alone. The nice lady, Katia, who helped us out while Norma was away was very competent, always ready with useful tips and advice. Conclusion: whenever I am in Nice again I will only rent this particular apartment. Highly recommended!!!

  The best thing about this apartment was the owner - Norma. She is very jovial and was a big help. We arrived at a late hour - we were supposed to arrive at 8PM but reached only after 9PM. Norma was nevertheless very cheerful and did not let us feel bad about it. I had also not planned ahead and did not have the full amount of the deposit - again she insisted I go to the Cash Point only the next day. She spent a good bit of time with us that evening and next day to make sure we were comfortable and giving us suggestions about Nice / Monaco. The apartment itself is very well located. Across from the beach, a 20 minute walk from the old city or a 5 minute bus ride, a super market on the street, a cash point (ATM), small and big restaurants. The apartment is furnished very tastefully and feels very homely. It is not lavish but is very comfortable nevertheless. My daughters each had their own bed and were thrilled not to share a bed for a change on the trip. Norma, thank you for making our trip so pleasant and I wish we could have stayed longer.

  Lovely apartment, better and larger than we expected. Was very clean and the view was stunning. Every morning we had breakfast in the beautiful garden. The kitchen is full equipped and has an excellent view of the sea. Ideally situated to walk to the old Nice or down to the water for swimming in just 30 seconds. Many supermarkets and restaurants nearby. Private parking was a really nice and useful feature. We will be back.

  My husband, two young children and I came to Nice for our spring break. I rented this apartment from Norma, not sure even the location. What an amazing apartment. We are right on the promenade! Two blocks from the Negresco and across the street from the beach. I sit in the kitchen now watching the late afternoon traffic flow by, sipping a glass of wine, the door to our own private garden open and I feel absolutely relaxed. The garden is huge. My children can play outside, I can sit and take my coffee in the morning in the sun and enjoy the breeze. Norma is amazing, so helpful and pleasant. The apartment is local to the supermarket, boulangerie and restaurants. We are more than comfortable. What a great find, we will be back for many more years to come!!
