Two families for a week
Two families for a week
My family and some friends needed a place to go to get away from San Jose for a while. After looking around we decided to rent this house and the owner was very easy to work with in getting it all arranged. This house met our needs well. There were two couples each with a baby and the rooms were soundproof enough that we rarely heard each other's kid crying. The only minor complaint we had was that the room with the two twins was very tight with a pack-and-play set up but otherwise it was very nice. For a couple or a single family it would work well. We had a couple of minor problems when we got there which were taken care of right away. Everyone we met while staying there was very friendly and helpful. When we went to the pool we were the only ones and saw monkeys, scarlet macaws, an anteater, and a bunch of cool lizards while we swam. Overall the place was great for getting away from the city for a while and its proximity to Jaco and Quepos was great for us. The beach was empty and great for walking and finding shells and hermit crabs. There is a strong rip current so it's more of a surfing beach but our young ones loved playing in the shallow waves.

Playa Bejuco was great!
Playa Bejuco was great!
My family of 4 spent 7 days at this property, and we very much enjoyed ourselves. The house was just as advertised, very clean and comfortable and only 5 minutes from the best beach we visited in our 1 month trek around Costa Rica. If you want to spend lots of time at the beach, then this is absolutely the place to be...I would recommend having a rental car if you want to eat out or do many of the adventures that C.R. has to offer, as this property is a 30.00 cab ride to the 2 closest towns. The managers, Greg & Arlene were terrific in their advice about restaurants and beach safety and any other question we had. The hotel Playa Bejuco is a 3 minute walk, and an affordable place to grab a really good meal.We rented 4 different houses in our month touring C.R. and this one was without a doubt the best...The combination of the beautiful, almost private beach and this house, and it's location, made our vacation truly memorable....Thanks Rich, we hope to do it again soon! Owner response: I hope you guys got your fill of great waves!!!
We went to Costa Rica last May and stayed at this beautiful home! It is a 10 minute walk from the beach or a 2 minute drive. There are also good restaurants close by. We rented a car, which made it easy to get to Jaco and enjoy exploring, shopping, and plenty of excusions. We also drove to Manuel Antonio and a monkey tour. Between Bejuco and Jaco there is a great place to rent surfboards, which we used at all of the local beaches. The house is very spacious, clean, and comfortable. You will feel right at home! The gated community is quiet and safe with friendly neighbors and security guards which monitor the entrance. If you are like us, you wouldn't want to leave either! Pura Vida!

Owner response: We look forward to having you back!!!
This townhome is in a gated secure quiet community just minutes from the beach. It is very clean and well maintained. The beach is absolutly breathtaking, as is all of the surrounding area. If you went to Costa Rica to do "it", it's close to the townhome. Surfing, golf, sightseeing, canopy tour, shopping, night life, fishing, etc... The town of Jaco is a lot of fun, and has great shopping, resturants and local businesses. The canopy tours are amazing as are the beaches. You will need a vehicle to get around in, but they are readily available in Jaco. There is a driver who will take you from the airport to the front door and take you back when your ready to return... just kidding... you won't want to leave. If you haven't been to Costa Rica before, this would be an excellent location to explore from. Great value and as comfortable as home.

Why the Owner Chose Esterillos Oeste:
Costa Rica is a beautiful country that presented great opportunities for beach front property investment a few years back. The beach is uncrowded with world class waves for surfing. We've stayed at our house over half a dozen times and would love to share the experience with you! Our complex is gated, private, and quiet, with very close access to the beach as well as dozens of tourist activities close by.
