  Hi - Recommend for a couple looking to relax. This neighborhood has a great community spirit. Very quiet in the evening - awesome to hear the waves and wind all night. We used this as a base of operations to hike, swim, kayak, SUP, sightsee all over the island. The North Shore itself becomes pretty quiet after dark - it should - lots of folks swimming / surfing. We cooked a quick breakfast every morning. Everything is there - some from previous guests and we added to that. As with any place in Hawaii, we kept all items out of the car. No problems. Great views of the ocean from this studio. We even saw whale tail a number of times!!

  Loved the location and loved that the owners provided beach cruisers! Best view is from the shower... feels like you're showering in the rain forest. Comfy bed, well equipped. No cable or TV service, but that was actually kind of nice. The only reason I knocked a star off is because the place could use a deep clean... staring at dust bunnies on the fan isn't very romantic, and they must have had a quick turn around because the trash wasn't taken out, dishes weren't put away and there were some dirty towels left. I have a vacay rental myself, so i know weird stuff happens. Barring that, this is a great property for a good value.

  Owner response: Aloha Melissa, We are so happy you enjoyed your stay on the North Shore. Being in Hawaii with the windows always open for the fresh air makes the dust hard to manage. It can take only a few days for the salt water and dust to add up. On your stay it was a quick turn around and the girl that usually cleans for me was out of town. The rental does have television and cable and I have made sure that it is in working condition. We hope that you will stay with us again.

  Stayed here for 5 nights and loved it. The pictures are spot on. We had a lot of luggage between us, but there was a clothes rack and heaps of drawers and we had plenty of space still. Admittedly we didn't do a lot of cooking, but having a proper kitchen was good. Loved the view, it's amazing to look up from your pillow and see the beach and big waves crashing away so close. Bed was comfy, couch was comfy, full sized bathroom, no complaints. We had a hire car, and I think that helps a lot, we did a lot of trips to Haleiwa for dinner, and to Sharks Cove Grill. Haleiwa Joes was great meal. Foodland being nearby was also a help, being the non surfer of the couple, I often grabbed dvd rentals from the redbox they have set up there. The dog downstairs is adorable, Tiko is very friendly. Highly recommend!

  Thank you so much for letting us stay at your wonderful studio, what an excellent spot for a couple very romantic and cozy, loved chico the dog she was great. the family down stairs were wonderful. We definatley will come again. Being right on the beach was wonderful, teds bakery and shark cove excellent food and good prices. The bike rides were fun. walks on the beach at nite,listening to the waves. couldnt of asked for a better vacation. neighbor hood very friendly. No a/c in the studio but with the ocean breeze and all the windows you really dont need it, the studio stayed very cool. we highly recommend this unit!! Thank you Chaney The Hulls

  Our stay at the beachfront studio was just right. We loved the beach out front and the sound of the waves at night. If you are looking for a relaxing stay I would say this has been our favorit place to stay on the North Shore this far. We will be back for sure!!

  For eight years I have been coming to the North Shore - and tried all sorts of places. This is the best by a mile. Imagine lifting your head from the pillow from a blissful night of sleep, only to see the sea and the swaying palms, hear the birdsong and the sound of the waves, and smell the flowers on the breeze. With trees surronding the house the studio stays cool, yet from the window year round you'll be able to watch the sunsets you dream of. It's the perfect location and property for young and old alike - a stunning place for your honeymoon. The price is brilliant - you'll agree - for a quite exceptional property. The O'Shea family are great, and Chaney could not be more helpful. This quiet home is perfection, with the local people so warm and friendly. We are staying for almost three weeks, and are loving every second of being here. We'll be back, for sure. David
