Ok, let me start by saying that this house was chosen by us after much research... This is an amazing location, very close to major shopping facilities as well as close to Miami Beach and the Everglades National Park. Charlie, the owner, is a pleasure to deal with and is always at hand, even late at night (time when we arrived at the house). We have spoken to him a few times before closing the deal and leaving the UK and also on the night we've arrived at the house. We arrived at the house on the 18th January after spending a week in Orlando. The whole gated community (Malibu Pointe) is well kept and very secure, which made us feel very safe, especially as we arrived at the house very late at night. The house was very clean and it is incredibly spacious; it can comfortably accommodate 11 adults and a 9 year old child. There are four very spacious rooms upstairs, one downstairs near the kitchen, as well as two living spaces, one large dinning room and a very well equipped kitchen with breakfast table. The outdoor space is great with lots of chairs and tables, as well as a swimming pool and space to play ball with the kids. The house could do with a few updates, such as the heating for the pool (although Charlie had advised us they were having some problems with it prior to us closing the deal), the toilet seats, as the ones in place are old and stained and some o the furniture, i.e. double bed in one of the upstairs bedrooms, which has a broken trundle (roller) making the bed a bit crooked and one of the sofas in the living room off the kitchen which is also crooked. None of the above substantially affected our stay and we did not feel the need to report it to Charlie although had we done so, I'm sure he would have sorted it all out straight away (bar the pool heating which I believe it requires a new unit). Just to clarify a previous review by another traveler; the flushing of the toilet works, as long as you hold down the handle for a few seconds, until you hear the bowl empty. All in all, this is a great house in a great location and we would/will most definitely rent it again if/when returning to the Miami area.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

I loved the location Pembroke Pines is so beautiful to stay. The lakes separate the residences that it looks like you live on small Islands. + Everglades seems to lie around the corner, I recommend a tour of Indians, totally awesome! The eligator could not be closer than this, the camera was almost lying in his mouth. + It's a 30 min drive of Miami south beach. + 20 min drive to Sawgrass Mills mall too big to shop in one day! (There are to many shoppingmalls to visit in one week by the way) + The supermarket is a 2 min drive. + Food is everywhere, too many choices. The house is beautiful, large and clean. The only downside is the cookware and the cutlery. Please Charlie throw them away, they are done. My kids loved the swimmingpool. I'd like to eat a coconut from the yard, but did not know how I could get one. The backyard needs more flowers, so you could enjoy to sit and watch beautiful plants and flowers. ( just a tip) Charlie the owner is very nice and trustable. We booked the house one year ago and everything went perfect. I'd like to come back! Regards, Fam. BehariDid you find this review helpful? The house is nice and big we were 8 adults and1 baby, it is also located in a nice area. However there were a few things we didn´t like: 1.Owner charged us half of the deposit for several damages we didn´t cause, but since there is no initial inventory owner was able to charge us everything, thank GOD it wasn´t the total deposit. 2. Blankets from 1 bedroom were dirty with red spots not sure if it was from previous guests. Also a carpet in the restroom had the same red spot. 3. Toilets don´t flush, even is not nice at all I recommend to throw the paper in the garbage can. 4. One of the beds was broke, my friend slept in the floor and we got charged for that broken bed. If you book this property, I recommend you on the first day to take at least 2 hours to report to the owner every single damage, spots ,broken accessories or every other thing you don´t want to get charge for.Owner response: I just came back from a Christmas Vacation Rental myself, Whenever I found a broken or damaged item I would not wait for after my stay to report the situation to the owner or property manager. In this case everything that I am supposed to be guilty of charging without cause was never report it to me. As a rule after my final inspection I make a list of the items that are damaged and deduct the repairs from the security deposit. If the Traveler does not care to report and take it as normal to be provided a broken bed or to expect to use a bathroom with no flushing toilet is there fault for not bring it to my attention. In the same token as I can defend myself from someone acting surprise that if items are damage while staying in my house will not charge their security deposit. The Lesson is use COMMON SENSE if something is not what you expect report it so there is no misunderstanding who is responsible for that situation. Do Initial Inventory and enjoy your vacation.

We have spend our vacation in this house for 20 days. We were with 5 adults and 5 kids. It was a pleasent stay and the kids loved the swimming pool. We barbecued and used the kitchen a lot, it have all appliances you needed. The neighbourhood is very nice and clean, good for jogging or walking as my wife did every morning. We had a nice vacation in this house, thanks Charlie.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway.

The house and pool was perfect for my family of 10. The neighborhood and neighbors were a pleasure to meet. If wasn't for the fact that your are not allowed to flush toilet paper down the toilet, the house would have been a perfect spot. Considering flushing toilet paper down a toilet is a daily thing for my family this was a major problem. We also lost some of our deposit for flushing toilet paper because it backs up his sewer system. The local neighbors said they didn't have such a problem. So if you don't mind the outhouse effect this is a great location for a large gathering.Owner response: NO PLUMBING ISSUES WITH MY PROPERTY, JUST ABUSE. The Group of Motorcycle Enthusiasts who rented (over 12 adults) my House were unsually orthodox on the use of Toilet paper. After noticing the amount toilet paper being discarded on the actual toilet, I warned them that it could create a problem. I did not mind putting 8 motorcycles in my garage, but they disregard my suggestion to use the covered garbage cans on each bathroom. Their actions cause a plumbing bill ($ 160) which they were deduct from their security deposit.I reside in my House for over 15 years with no plumbing issues. Abuse versus common sense is the moral of this review.

My family along with 2 others families rented this place to be able to attend my cousin's wedding in June. It was my first experience at renting a home for a vacation. I must say that I was a little leery of renting a home at first not knowing the process but Charlie (the owner) made it as smooth as can be. He answered all my questions upfront, basically walked me through the process. He was very friendly and genuine. Charlie even checked on us from time to time during our stay to make sure everything was going alright. The house was big enough to accommodate all 13 of us with plenty of room to spare! We even had the a barbeque out back by the pool with the rest of our miami family and they even commented on how nice the house was. I have to admit that there were some things that needed fixing around the home but overall the house was spacious, comfortable, enjoyable, and at a great price. We would rent the home out again if we make it back out to ft. lauderdale. Definitely recommend this property!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway.

We stayed with two families (7 people) at this location from July 10 till july 16, 2010. The house was great. It had all the amenities that you could need during a vacation. The house was very clean and spacious. The private swimming pool was a treat since it was extremely warm outside. The house was close to a super wall mart (10 min.), Target (5 min), and the mall (12 min). Downtown Miami will take a half hour drive. The owner, Charlie is a great person, very helpfull and very jolly. We would love to stay in this house again when visiting Miami.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

Me and my family (7 adults and 1 baby 16 months) stayed in this house for 2 weeks. It was one of the best holidays ever!! We really enjoyed it. The house was spacious and accomodated with everything you wil need. The owner (Charlie) was also very helpfull and during our holiday he also replaced some broken furniture. The bedrooms were fine and also the restrooms worked fine when used properly. The surroundings were also nice and all the major attractions were nearby. (you will need a car!!) All in all a great vacation and we will certainly consider going there again!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1
