'LA CASITA' is private & secure, a part of VILLA CHUPAROSA which is located high on a steep hill in La Penita, with stunning views of beautiful Jaltemba Bay and a broad expanse of the Pacific. This large studio is in a beautiful inner courtyard - surrounded by nature; the 'Jungle Garden Refuge' has attracted over 100 species of native & migrant birds, and even more butterfly species, especially to the dense, colorful 'Butterfly Garden', and next to a large sparkling swimming pool. There are three residences within the high walls surrounding the villa, one of which is the owners' hacienda, surrounded by a high wall covered with masses of bougainvilleas. It is located high on a hill in a quiet residential area and overlooks the Bay of Jaltemba, yet the villa is only a 10 minute fascinating walk (many insights into life in an authentic Mexican town) to miles of Pacific beaches.

LA PENITA de JALTEMBA is an authentic Mexican town on beautiful Jaltemba Bay; its islands, beaches, reefs, jungled foothills right down to the ocean’s edge, & mountainous headlands. It is just 64km (40mi) N of the Puerto Vallarta airport, separated from Rincon de Guayabitos by a narrow stream. Public transportation is outstanding as well as inexpensive. It boasts the only bank for miles, ATM, bus station, medical clinic, dental clinic, and many small shops from candy stores to a shoemaker in the church square. An excellent family doctor is less than 3 blocks away.

A NO STRESS Mexican Adventure. We take care of your needs from arrival at the Puerto Vallarta Airport or at our gate to great information about the delightful things you can do and see with in walking distance, using public transportation, or planned tours and excursions. After your deposit, you receive a 2 page "PRE-ARRIVAL INFO" and then in December a 3 page "BEST Diversions & Excursions". In addition we help you with individual interests not listed.

Casa Cacique is in the private inner courtyard of Villa Chuparosa (hummingbird). The bedroom area has a double bed, closet with a tall mirror and a tall shelf unit. The immaculate, pretty bathroom has a huge shower, lots of towel hanging space, & storage cabinets for small items. The kitchenette has a 4 burner gas range top and top quality small appliances as listed under “amenities". We put new cleaning supplies in the kitchen & steam clean the bathroom before each new reservation.

OUTDOOR LIVING. The inside dining area is enhanced by an outdoor table with umbrella with great views of the birds in the 'Jungle Garden Refuge', and also the tables on the 'Upper Deck'. Two large windows let in the velvety ocean breezes and two ceiling fans are there if needed. The pool is steps away, and an extra ‘bano’ is next to the pool. We are on a steep hillside in a quiet residential area AND we get to go to sleep to the sound of the incoming tide. We also offer unlimited wireless access for keeping in touch with home ($10 weekly).. Maid service is twice weekly.

PERFECT DAYS & PERFECT NIGHTS - it can be chilly (down to 60F (16C) in January.. Combined with an absence of pesky flying insects, you can enjoy living outside with nature, the rustling of the palms and a constant breeze that feels like velvet. You won't need A/C with afternoons that stay in the 70's or to 27C. Late in the night it seldom drops below 62F or 17C. Have breakfast at sunrise on the Upper Deck watching the sun advance from hilltop to hilltop, or enjoy cocktails to a blazing sunset across the horizon. Nap or sun on the cushioned lounges. There is no smoking on the premises to prevent total enjoyment of the beautiful surroundings.
