IT'S THE PERFECT COTTAGE TO ENSURE THAT THE WEATHER IS NOT AN ISSUE. ENJOYMENT,RELAXATION AND ENTERTAINMENT FOR ALL AGES AT THIS UNIQUE VACATION DESTINATION. PARENTS WILL NEVER HAVE TO HEAR THEIR CHILDREN SAY THEY ARE BORED. The main feature of this cottage is the 2000 sq ft attached pool building with a 40 ft Indoor pool and a 10 person hot tub.The warmth (28 C water temp)of this year round facility will keep you bug free in the warmer months and leave you forgetting about the Caribbean in the colder months.Go jogging indoors as 25 laps of the pool is one kilometer.There are three acres of landscaped grounds with three BBQ s(one with rotisserie),full size sand filled regulation beach volleyball court,35' x 100' ice rink,fire pit,children's play structure,sandbox, tennis and basketball court on the 5000sq ft asphalt sealed driveway and a toboggan hill (toboggans supplied). Seasonal vegetable are available in large organic garden. Inside there is free use of a desktop computer with WiFi access for your laptops,8 x 4 pool table,darts,board games, satellite TV(2 x 60',1 x 51', 1 x 42' and a selection of movies) plus two XBox's(1 kinect 6 controllers and a selection of games). This is an ideal vacation for large family gatherings, groups,several families or as a corporate retreat.
Private Retreat within easy commute of Ottawa and Montreal and a great base to explore Eastern Ontario, Western Quebec and Upstate New York. Lake Placid in the middle of the Adirondack Mountains is within two hours as is Mont Tremblant in Quebec. The St Lawrence river is 10 minutes away with all its water related recreational activities and there is a free area to launch your boat in Cornwall which is 12 minutes away.
There is a nice sheltered beach 10 minutes away on the St Lawrence where you can enjoy water related recreational activities.

Frank Just wanna say thank you for letting us stay here. We had a fantastic few days here and our son loved every minute of it. I am astonished how every need is met. Our girs weekend was fantastic. So much to do around the home but we ended up spending most of our time in the pool and hot tube, oh and I should mention it has a large screen t.v you can watch while you are in the pool and hot tube. frank has everything you need there and if you do need something he gets it for you ASAP. Lots of space and the beds are very comfy. I would highly recommend Murphy's retreat!! There is no shortage of TV's and Xbox. I had mentioned to my friend we should of brought Dance central. Frank showed up 30 mins later with 3 dance central. He really wants your stay to be the best it can. We also left a camera charger, he mailed it to us and we had it in 2 days. Really can't say enough great things. Thanks for a grat weekend Frank. We really needed it, glad we got to catch up on our sleep, and it made it easy with all the great places to nap :). We will be back!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Frank,our girls weekend away was fabulous! Thank you for these fabulous accomodations,comfortable beds,pool table,swimming pool,hot tub,kitchen facilities with "extras'! The bunk house is a great asset as one of our girls was sick and needed a quiet area to sleep. It was awsome for all of us girls to be able to have sit down meals together. a group of us (about 15) rented for one week in august. Ii was fantastic - it may take a moment to get over the 80's decor and the fact that the driveway is the basketball and tennis court (it's a huge driveway!) but when you get into the pool and experience the cozy beds along with the fully equipped kitchen (and i mean fully equipped - there was nothing that was not there including condiments and so on) you relax into what for us was a fabulous stay! the bedroom upstairs in the middle is only good for kids to sleep due to size of room and bunks but there are tons of other sleeping options around the house!! care has been taken to purchase very good quality beds and futons. linens, pillows, towels -- all very plentiful! we loved that there was a dishwasher and a washer and dryer (and a fabulous clothes line if you are there in the summer!) there is no shortage of space and it is easy to find your own corner if you need some away time from the group! the pool is fantastic! At night especially it is wonderful! we were very well cared for and I think it was money extremely well spent!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We stayed over the Labor Day Long Weekend and had an AMAZING TIME. The house is VERY NICELY furnished and stocked with everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. The indoor pool and hot tub hands down made our trip and was the biggest reason we chose this home. Definitely recommend this resort as a place to stay for anyone looking to have fun, relax and enjoy!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We've large crowd ~28 with kids & Adult, We all had great time, place is neat and clean and kids love the swimming pool. We've stayed 5 days and stay only in cottage didn't go anywhere and 5 day went so fast. We definitely consider next visit for this place.Recommended for: Families with young children.

About the owner: I am a New Zealander who has lived in Canada since 1997. Lucky to have travelled to over 125 countries so ask me and maybe I have been to your country and home town.
Why the Owner Chose Cornwall:
It is a nice rural area with all the advantages of two of the larger cities in Canada. Ottawa, Canadas Capital and Montreal with its French influence. New York State in the USA is only 15 minutes away and is the gateway to the Adirondack Mountains(Americas Largest National Park)with Lake Placid a beautiful two hour drive from the cottage..The area is in the centre of a lot of Canadian culture and the St Lawrence River with all its water related activities is 5 minutes. away.
