My cousins and I needed a place to stay for a golf weekend and we couldn't have been happier with this property. The house was very clean and we had plenty of room for the four of us. The bedrooms were spacious and quite comfortable. Located on the Wye River it was a picturesque setting and close to many of the great Eastern Shore crab houses, restaurants and golf courses. The owner was great and made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely go back.

My three adult sons, (and one fiancé ), my sister and I spent an August weekend in this perfectly lovely, well-organized, clean as a whistle and comfortable home. We were attending a family reunion in Queenstown so the location was perfect. Everything about the home was easy - and welcoming. We canoed, meandered, swam in the pool and just hung out. The owner was accessible and very helpful;even the neighbors were helpful in recommending places to shop and eat. I think I was the envy of many cousins who were paying premium prices to stay in hotels. I would go back in a heartbeat.

everything you need, meticulously maintained
everything you need, meticulously maintained
This is the perfect mix: house isn't too big nor too small, and generous property allows mutiple outdoor activities such as swimming, canoeing, lounging, and covered dining. Everything is meticulously maintained, from the lovely landscaping, to the sparkling pool, to the polished floors and pristine carpets. (White carpets made me Paranoid Mommy, however - maybe not great if you have messy or disobedient kids!) The upstairs master suite spans the entire top floor and is gorgeous. Owner Dawn is an excellent responsive communicator and very welcoming. We shall return - minus the kids and the heat wave! :)

We loved staying at this beautiful home on the Wye. My husband and I and three teenage kids enjoyed it so much. Great location, so comfortable and adorable. The pool is great and the house had everything we needed. Exceeded our expectations - we will be back! Our only complaint was that we weren't there long enough - we hated to leave. Thanks Dawn!

We had a great weekend here. The house is beautiful. It was very clean and well organized. The kitchen is well stocked and has everything you need to prepare a meal. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool. At night we had a fire in the firepit in the backyard . Location is great... right on the river. Wonderful home.

We stayed at this property in Spring 2011, and it was terrific! It's very clean, extremely well appointed, and the location in the cove is just beautiful. Dawn, the owner, was a pleasure to work with, and everything ran smoothly. We will be returning as soon as we can!

About the owner: When growing up my parents had a fishing charter business on the Chesapeake Bay, and I fell in love with spending time on the water. I worked hard to make my dream a reality and enjoy sharing my shore home with my family. The joy of watching the kids catch their first crab or searching for swans nests in the spring never gets old. Having this much nature at your doorstep is a simple pleasure we're lucky to have and happy to share.
Why the Owner Chose Queenstown:
The Eastern Shore of Maryland is a nature lovers paradise, Migratory Geese, Blue Heron, Swans and Osprey are just wonderful to view, and add a peaceful element to a hectic profession I've chosen.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
Famous for the Chesapeake Blue Crab, the Wye River never disappoints, the crab bounty is excellent. Secondly, exists no commercial business, therefore the waters are pristine and perfect for swimming, kayaking, and wildfowl sightings. Its not unusual in the fall to spot a deer or two swimming across the river!!
