When the producers of ABC’s 'The Bachelorette' selected the Dutch-influenced island of Curaçao as a destination for Season Eight they looked for a luxurious, romantic home where Emily Maynard and her daughter Ricki could enjoy the sun, sea and a bit of island history.
They chose Sirena Bay Estate for 'The Bachelorette' season's final episode.
The dramatic, private seaside setting of Sirena Bay Estate provides a place you can simply relax and enjoy the ocean views or take a swim in your own pool. This lovingly restored, 18th century Dutch “landhuis” style home is decorated with a charming mix of antique Caribbean furniture with Asian and European influences. A world-class art collection throughout the home creates an atmosphere of elegance and style. You will even enjoy the luxury of Egyptian cotton sheets and towels when it is time to refresh and retire for the evening or just an afternoon siesta.
This distinctive address right in the heart of Willemstad offers all the luxury of the finest resorts with much greater space, privacy and independence. Your visit will be an unsurpassed vacation experience. From your welcome to departure everything is in place for a perfect stay. The estate is fully staffed, complete with an on-site caretaker ready to address your every need. A cook is available with prior notice. So book now and we will be there with a big island smile to greet you at the airport and provide complimentary transportation to your vacation home on beautiful Curacao.
The Sea View Apartment has a fully equipped kitchen with a queen sized bed in one bedroom and a twin in the other. It also has a queen bed in the loft bedroom and a day bed in the living area. It sits 30' from the Caribbean Sea; adjacent to the pool and beach. It is rented only in conjunction with rental of the main house to insure the privacy of your stay.

For our 5th annual “Girlcation” we visited Curacao February 2-9, 2013 and stayed at the beautiful Sirena Bay Estate. Our group consisted of 10 ladies ages ranging from 30 something to 60 something!! The Sirena Bay Estate was over and above our expectations, starting with the owner Richard meeting us at the airport (flight was late). I’m sure he didn’t know what hit him when he saw 10 southern Virginia women coming at him with all that luggage!! But I have to say he took it all in stride. He waited until we got our rental van and then proceeded to take us on to his beautiful villa. In addition to the villa we rented the apartment next door and it proved to be the perfect accommodations for all of us. The steps to the apartment’s loft bedroom were a little hard to climb but after the first night we adjusted with one sleeping in the media room so that worked out okay. All bedrooms had king beds with huge washrooms that were supplied with soap, shampoo and conditioner. Richard and his wife Marilyn helped us setup massages at the house which was wonderful. We enjoyed our massages by the ocean under the gazebo and we could not have asked for anything more!! The Villa is perfectly located and very private, a short walking distance to many first class restaurants as well as lots of shopping. The gardener Kurdon and housekeeper Shellie were wonderful, always seeing to our needs and greeting us with a warm smile. We spent many of our days lounging by the beautiful pool and loved every minute of it. Some of the activities we enjoyed while in Curacao were buggy tour with Curacao Buggy Adventures; stand up paddle surfing with SUP Curacao and a day at Cabana Beach. I think everyone in our group would highly recommend the Sirena Bay Estate.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our holiday at Sirena Bay Estate was over and above our expectations. From the start, the owner meeting us at the airport, and helping to make sure Budget waited past closing for us, due to our late plane, unbelievable. The house was more then we expected. Perfect accomondations for several couples. All bedrooms had king beds with huge washrooms. As well they supplied all the scuba equipment we needed right at the house. Tanks and weights and refills daily, directions to the best dive locations, again, far more then we expected. House location is perfectly located, very short walking to many first class restaurants as well as lots of shopping.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

The listing description was very accurate. The property was much more elaborate then described. The photos were great, but did not capture the expanse of the property. The cleaniness of the property was exceptional, with an onsite help along with another young lady who arrived like clock work daily, except Sunday. The owners were unbelievable in answering questions. The owner picked us up at the airport, which was a late arriving flight. There were two bottle of wine and other snacks in the refrigerater. He also provided invaluable information about the property and the local area. He and his wife live close to the property and keep an office at the property. There were also two gardeners who provided security for the property. Although we felt completely safe, their presence just added an additional amount of comfort. I would recommend this property to anyone who is interested in having a private resort experience. Just outside of our private resort were a number of restaurants that we found very good. Among them were Fishalicious and Pane de Vino. For a daily workout, you can access the Avilia Hotel, for a small fee. About 3 miles away is the Sea Aquarium compound. This is a development that is still being expanded. This includes The Sea Dive Hotel and a mall that is still being built. There are a number of beaches at this location as well. The icing on the cake for us was interacting with the owner. He is a businessman from the states. He is quite informative on the island and things to do and not to do. He gave us a great restaurant in Westpunt to visit. There are many small beaches there as well. Additionally, one of the security men gave us a good restaurant in town called the Iguana Cafe. This is a great place to eat, drink, and people watch. We me the owner's wife as well. She is a businesswoman from the states. They both gave a more detailed description of the art that decorated the house. Their descriptions were from a collectors perspective. We did rent a car, which was helpful in getting around the island. Since the owner picked us up at the airport, we rented the car for pickup the following day of arrival. The owner gave us a ride the next day to get the car and groceries. Additionally, the owner came by the day of return of the rental car, to make sure that we had a ride back to the property. The ride back to the airport was an opportunity to thank the owners for the care that they provided for our stay.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our family (5 people) recently stayed at Sirena Bay Estate. What a place! Highlights: -absolutely private...but in the heart of town -on the sea with incredible views and the sounds of the sea. We had many meals overlooking the beautiful vistas. -great location...walking distance (under 3 min!) to many of the best restaurants in Curacao (try fishalicious, chop stix, seasons...all great) -Avila Hotel is a 3 doors down...sandy beach, gym (passes avail by the day/week), bars, restaurants etc...we always felt welcomed there. -Sirena Bay is an incredibly well maintained property...not to mention incredibly beautifully decorated. -the pictures tell much of the story of the physical property and are accurate (although pictures can't capture the real grander of the place) Beyond the physical property, the hospitalitiy we experienced was truly extraordinary. The owner of the property (lives nearby) greeted us at the airport and helped us settle in. The following morning they drove us to the supermarket (very good) to stock up. We were given lots of information and advice to make the most of our visit...very, very good! The staff who maintain the property and provide housekeeping service were great and always helpful. We felt incredibly well cared for. In short, staying at Sirena Bay is like having a beautiful resort all to yourself! Highly recommended!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We saw Curacao from our own private resort, and what a luxury! Great beach location, wonderful property with beautiful views, landscaping and decor. I cannot recommend this property more highly. It's also a great location to explore the area, walk into town, dine in quaint restaurants, and watch cruise ships come in. You will want to come back again and again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful house and grounds. The pictures don't do justice to the beauty of the structure, decor and view of the landhuis. The ocean is right up against the house with a pool in between. It was fun swimming in the pool and watching the sail boats and other activities. But most of the time it was just the giant expanse of ocean splashing up on the private beach. The house had many amenities. One of the best practical aspects of the house was that all of the bathrooms and bedrooms have air conditioners. In a humid atmosphere this was a real blessing. Another great thing is that the house can not be seen from the street so it feels very very private. When you are in the house or the yard it is like having your own island. But it is also in the heart of Punda so you can easily get around town and see historic Willemstad. This was a really great way to see Curacao. The house is also in walking distance of some really nice restaurants that serve a high end cuisine with a casual dress code. I recommend this house to anyone wanting to experience Curacao. And take photos!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My husband and I chose this location for a quiet get away for just the two of us. We were looking for a beautiful piece of property where we could enjoy the home itself as we weren't too interested in spending every day touring tourist spots of our destination. We never needed to leave this place to have a wonderful vacation. Most mornings we had breakfast sitting steps from the ocean on a canopied patio. From that patio we could see down to the main canal that services the island and could watch the cargo ships and cruise ships entering and leaving port. We read by the pool and napped on the private sandy beach. We bought groceries at "The Boulevard" market just down the street and usually made our own breakfast and lunch. The kitchen on the property has top of the line appliances and could easily be used if you had a large group and were making a holiday dinner. For dinner the owners recommend many nice places. There are several wonderful restaurants right within walking distance and a beautiful hotel almost next door if you want some interaction with others on the island. For us this was a perfect and beautiful spot. We plan to return every year.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We are so grateful to the owners and staff at Sirena Bay for one of the best vacations our family has enjoyed. We had a group of 8 including our infant son, my 14 year old nephew and our two older children 18 and 21. The home and property is absolutely beautiful. We loved getting up early, having coffee and watching the cargo ships and cruise ships travel in front of the house. The pool is georgeous and the decor of the home is both elegant and completely livable. The staff at the property treated us like family. We spent most of our vacation visiting the many beaches on Curacao. We have mostly traveled to Mexico, Jamaica and Florida on family vacations - this was our first visit here. We were amazed at the many, many absolutely beautiful beaches with lovely ameneties. Porto Marie was our favorite with its excellent snorkling, full service dive shop and bar/restaurant. We are a scuba diving family and found Curacao to be the best diving we have ever experienced. All the dives are shore dives with a short swim out to the reef. Almost all beaches have dive shops to rent tanks and equipment. When not at the beach we walked around downtown Punda and discovered Iguana Cafe right on the large canal where ships travel in to port. We sat there for many hours watching the ships, playing cards and bouncing into the downtown shops. We love the Iguana Cafe staff and left with new Facebook friends. Our vacation would not have been the same without the owners of Sirena Bay. They provided recommendations, directions, suggestions and were just fun to visit with. You can't beat this spot.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
