Amazing and very homely beach house in a perfect location with absolutely stunning views across discovery straight. Spent four nights there in late September with three friends and had a trip of a lifetime exploring everything Campbell River has to offerRecommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway.

What a fantastic home in such a great location! We felt right at home as soon as we arrived, such a clean and well kept property. I absolutely loved the fire pit that we happily sat around each night toasting marshmallows and having a wine and a laugh We were close enough to everything we needed in Campbell River from tours to go snorkelling with the salmon to the grocery store. Anna was a wealth of information and great recommendations - really friendly!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

This property is even more beautiful than the photos..Our family arrived to breathtaking views of discovery passage, and a very well kept home with great attention to detail. Anna has mastered the art of hosting..We came for a family wedding and week long holiday to bring both sides of our families together.This house is fully equipped for entertaining ..being an avid cook and stylist I was able to wow our guests with the bounty of local seafood around the gorgeous firepit ..not to mention the magnificent cruise ships passing right in front of us..I would have to say that this is by far the most beautiful accomodation in Campbell River..it is also centrally located for those visiting by boat .We have created memories here that we will cherish for years to come..Thank you Anna..we look forward to our next visit ..Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Having stayed for a period of three months and had the opportunity to stay at other long term rentals along the coast this house offers a true West Coast experience. The house smells of ceder and is literally steps away from the beach. With the house at beach level the smells from the fire pit, the sea, and the ability to hear the waves crashing on the beach and view a full harvest moon from the master suite ... is unbeatable. Anna is easy going and a wealth of local information ... and if you are lucky, you might even get some locally caught salmon!! I will definitely being staying again!!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, people with disabilities, girls getaway.

This unusually lovely home gets 5 gold stars on every imaginable criteria: VISTAS: The views of the bay from the living area, kitchen and master bedroom are stunning. We enjoyed watching the rich orange sunrise over the water every morning. We were fortunate enough to be visiting during a full moon, and watching the huge golden disk rise over the horizon and shimmer in the water was an awesome sight. It was also fun to watch the huge cruise ships making their way down the sea and feel fortunate to have so much space and beauty around us! BEAUTY: The house itself is lovely, much of it seems hand-crafted with many unique wooden details. The furniture is high quality, and the artwork throughout the house is very special and all created by the owner's family. The art and overall quality of the home is unique in a vacation rental. COMFORT: Every detail is of the highest quality. The master bed is extremely comfortable, the linens are extremely high in quality, the dishes color coordinate with the kitchen, the pots and pans are very heavy stainless steel with copper bottoms, and in all ways the kitchen is fully equipped. HOSPITALITY: Anna was extremely helpful and available. She invested time in making sure that we were enjoying our visit and had all the information we needed. When she found out that my husband had left his hiking sticks at home, she even loaned us hers. She showed an unusual level of care and concern for our happiness without ever being intrusive. ACTIVITIES: We came to Campbell River for hiking in the many parks and we enjoyed a new trail every day. We found many easy to moderate trails that were 5 to 7 miles in length and found the vistas different and yet remarkably beautiful and soul-nourishing. Best of all the trails were not packed with other walkers and there was a unique lack of biting flies and mosquitoes. There’s also an abundance of water sports and excellent restaurants. We had a remarkably wonderful visit and strongly recommend staying in this beautiful home and visiting this charming community that’s located in such a beautiful natural setting.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, people with disabilities, girls getaway.

We have just spent two amazing weeks at the Beach House. What a location - you can't get closer to the sea without being in it. The firepit was excellent with an abundant supply of wood off the beach - we sat around it with a drink watching the boats, birds and seals. We ate at the full dining table on the deck nearly every day too. Plenty of chairs outside for catching the sun and a hammock for those with a sense of balance. Inside, the Beach House is very comfortable and homely, with a really great Master & Ensuite and two other comfortable bedrooms (one ensuite). The kitchen is fully equipped too with all you would need. Anna looked after us and answered all our strange questions - and she has loads of advice on things to do and see. What a place - the only problem was we only had two weeks. We were very sad to leave, but had a fantastic family holiday.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

My family and I stayed here for three nights in June. It was a spectacular spot. The home is a beautiful old rustic rancher and the location is to die for. We sat outside in the evening around the fire and watched the cruise ships go buy! The home had all the ammenities you could ask for and the sleeping accommodations were more than comfortable. I would highly recommend "The Beach House" in Campbell River.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

My husband and I have enjoyed staying a month at the house for each of the past 2 years. The location cannot be beaten. Sitting on the deck enjoying the wildlife, watching the boats pass by, eagle watching, etc... Anna is an attentive host and provides a personal touch for her visitors. She is also an excellent source of information for things to do in the area.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Year Purchased: 1994
About the owner: Anna will be your host during your stay at the beach house. She belongs to a 5 generation Vancouver Island family that has a long history of fishing in the Pacific Ocean. Her great grandfather was the lighthouse keeper in 1860 for the 1st lighthouse on the West Coast of British Columbia. Anna lived at the north end of the island in Winter Harbour until she was 8 before moving to Campbell River. Anna has rented her beautiful beach house for over 8 years. She has an exceptional eye for quality and as an accomplished chef, she is an excellent resource for shopping and dining in the area.
