My Fiance and I stayed here the week before my wedding to settle into the area. The apartment was impeccable when we arrived. Everything was brand new and it was more spacious than we could have hoped for. The pictures didn't do it justice and I was sold immediately on the pictures. The outdoor area was at the rear of the unit and completely private which was an added bonus. We will stay here everytime we come to visit Brooklyn hands down.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, tourists without a car.

This is our second stay at this apartment and was again a great pleasure - comfortatble and warm. Great for runs into Manhatten as well as Prospect Park. Many eating places to select from but particularly recommended is the tasting menu at Battersby which is within walking distance. Several yarn stores within reach if your into that kind of thing. Access to a wide variety of subway lines.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Jana’s place for a month and we had an absolutely wonderful time. Her place truly felt like home away from home because of all the thoughtful detail that has gone into creating a cozy, comfortable place to stay while visiting New York. From the start communication was great with Jana as she answered all our questions, made booking, and check in such an easy process. Upon arrival the place was in immaculate condition and I can honestly say that the pictures truly do not do this place justice. All you need to bring are your personal belongings because everything else is provided for you. While visiting New York, one of the things that I wanted was to be in a safe neighborhood and this is a family oriented neighborhood with children playing outside. We would come home late at night and never once did we feel unsafe walking home. Jana’s place is located within a 5 minute walk to the subway station where you can board the F train which directly takes you to directly to Soho, Times Square and anywhere else you want to go in Manhattan. Also there are several great restaurants and bars located near by that you can check out if you don’t want to go to Manhattan. If you decide you want to order in Jana has provided a binder containing menus of great restaurants located nearby. Overall, our stay was very pleasant and if we visit New York in the future we will definitely take advantage by booking this amazing home away from home.Did you find this review helpful? I've stayed at close to ten different apartments for short term rentals when working in Brooklyn, and this is one of the best, if not the very best. It's on a safe street, fine for an older woman to walk home alone late at night, and close to all of the wonderful restaurants, shops, and organic grocers in the neighborhood. The hosts were friendly, helpful when needed, and otherwise unobtrusive. The apartment has comfortable furniture, a full kitchen, an excellent bathroom, washer and dryer (a big plus), a comfortable bedroom with an excellent mattress on the bed, plenty of closet and dresser space, and access to a garden -- though it was too cold (October) for me to sit outside when I had my morning coffee at 5 am. Everything is new, and spotlessly clean. Anyone who has the good fortune to stay at is place will be satisfied.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, tourists without a car.

Due to some unexpected issues we had to spent our 2 week summerholiday with six people (4 adults and kids between 8 and 15) in this beautifully situated apartement and we absolutely loved it! It is situated in a beautiful typical Brookly street with trees and it is a calm place to stay. The apartment is clean, well equipped, bright and light. But if you like you are at Smith Street within 5 minutes walking distance where you will find a variety of shops, bars and restaurants. You can eat about any kind off food you like from plain simple things like burgers and pizza to more exotic food. The F-train from Carroll Street or Bergen Street will take you straight in to Manhattan in 10 minutes. Communication with the owner (Jana) is easy and she responds quickly and clear to any question you might have. We hope we will be able to spent another holiday here, but with six travelling from the Netherland it has been an expensive but wonderful experience!Did you find this review helpful? Me and my family, including 2 adults and 2 children, had the pleasure of staying at this apartment for 6 weeks. It`s was the best location for both Brooklyn and Manhattan, the subway station was only a 3 min walk away and took us straight to Manhattan. The apartment was very clean, spacious, modern and appealing. The houseowners lived upstairs and were always helpful and kind. We were allowed to use the garden in the back, it was a perfect place to relax in the sun, it had table ,chaires and a big trampoline for the children. The neighborhood had a lot of great restaurants, all kind of shops, grocery stores, nice houses and playgrounds. It felt very safe to walk around in the evenings. We would love to stay here again and can highly recommend this place!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

We stayed here over the Thanksgiving period; 2 adults and 2 small children. It is a beautiful apartment with private entrance. The photos do not do it justice, the refurb on the property is fantastic. We had ample space for my 3 year old and 7 month old daughters. Jana kindly put a pack n play for our baby and camp bed for our toddler. It is very convenient to lovely areas of Brooklyn, close to the subway to the city and walking distance to great restaurants/bars. The weather was unseasonably mild so not much use of the heating was required but there is a great system in place. The bathroom is lovely with a great shower and washer/drying facilities. Again the photos don't do it justice. We would happily stay here again and have no hesitation in recommending to others.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, tourists without a car.

My husband and I just spent 6 nights at this location. Everything was as presented. It was within easy walking distance of great places to eat. It felt very homey and was a wonderful alternative to impersonal hotel rooms.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car.

We loved the apartment. It was spotlessly clean and even more beautiful than the photos suggested. We also slept very well, so unlike previous reviewers we were neither disturbed by too much light nor too much noise from the upper floor. In our opinion, the mattress was perfect, too. When it comes to the neighboorhood I can only agree to everything the other reviewers have said: it's very nice, completely safe and close to a lot of shops and good restaurants. We especially recommend "The Grocery" (great vegetarian menu).Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

We stayed at Jana and Kens place for 1 week (the last days with our grandson) and we loved every minute of it. The listing description was most accurate. The apartment is beautiful - spacious, stylish, and bright; it is clean, modern and has everything you need for your stay. Jana was terrific, easy to communicate with and most helpful. We loved the location and always felt safe. It was close to the subway station -7 min by foot - which will lead you to Manhattan quickly. We surely recommended and will recommend the property to our friends and relatives. Next time we plan a trip to New York, Jana will be our first choice.Did you find this review helpful?
