Your Grandmother's Cottage on the Shore

Simplicity at its finest!
You are tucked under the towering oaks and spruce trees of Grandmother’s cottage. Wake up to the sound of surf and the call of the loon. Sip your morning coffee in the screened gazebo, perched above the shoreline watching the lobsterman check traps and the seabirds hunt for breakfast.
You are a steppingstone from Acadia where outdoor adventures abound. Plan a hike up Cadillac Mountain, pedal around Schoodic Point with breathtaking views of the Downeast coast or ride miles of carriage roads stopping for popovers at the Jordan Pond House. Kayak along the pristine coastline.
Browse for antiques, homemade gifts or Native American crafts. Lunch on lobster cooked and cracked right off the boat.
Simply sit back. This is Maine. While away the day with a good book, an artist’s brush or a writer’s pen. And at the end of the day, take your glass of wine to the gazebo where the water and sky fill with the brilliance of a mighty sunset and the majesty of the night sky.

Cozy, comfortable and welcoming are just a few of the words I could use to describe this idealic setting. The cottage was well equipted with everything you need or may have forgotten. Simply buy some groceries and relax. The week I spent there will be remembered for a life time. I highly recommend this cottage for anyone who wants to get away to a private, clean, serene place for some delightful restoration,. It should be noted that cell phone connection can be unreliable, but for me this was an added plus! The only thing I would add to the spot is a hot tub which I would eagerly provide if it would gaurentee my annual reservation. Thank you so much for sharing your Grandma's cottage with me! Sincerely, NadineRecommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2010
About the owner: We purchased my Grandmother's cottage this summer. After vacationing there for over fifty years we simply couldn't let go. What a priceless treasure this is. We live year round in Vermont and have a few weeks of the summer when the cottage is not filled with family and friends. Perhaps you would enjoy the peace and relaxation.
Why the Owner Chose Trenton:
There are a few places on Earth where the busy mind slows to a gentler place. Watching the tides change, hearing the softly lapping waves, feeling the breezes drift through through the trees, these are treasured moments to be one with the universe. This is a quiet haven.
