3250 square feet of tranquility wrapped up in a marvelously well-appointed log home. In a secluded location reached by a private drive, this sleeps 10, fully furnished cabin is built on two levels within beautiful landscaped grounds.
Upstairs there is a magnificent cathedral window with stunning views across the woods, lighting a spacious and comfortably furnished open plan lounge with 50 inch plasma TV, and a large hand built stone fireplace.
There are two bedrooms upstairs. The master has a king sized bed, large, walk-in dressing room and adjoining en-suite shower room with hand crafted wooden cabinets and granite surfaces. The other room contains a queen-sized bed, built in wardrobes and has access to a family showerroom with double sinks and hand crafted wooden cabinets and granite surfaces.
The kitchen is specified to a very high standard with natural wood units and granite surfaces, a large fridge/freezer with ice and drinks dispenser, dishwasher and microwave, a breakfast bar and sitting area and a separate dining area which seats 8 around a large circular wooden table with 8 matching high backed chairs. The dining area leads out to a large deck with a BBQ and steps down to the gardens and pool.
Downstairs on the ground floor is a larger family room with a full-sized air-hockey table, large 50 inch LCD surround TV, DVD player and music system. The large comfortable sofa contains a pull out bed to sleep 2 people. Double doors provide separate access to the garden with the outdoor pool(only available during the summer months) and spa only feet away.
There are 2 large twin bedded rooms downstairs, both with built in wardrobes and matching furniture. The second family bathroom is downstairs and has a large bath and wooden hand crafted cabinet with granite surfaces. There are washing and drying facilities alongside the main boiler room, and plenty of storage. The house is ideally suited to two family accommodation
The house is set in two acres, bordering the creek which runs down to the lake, and has been landscaped to an exceptionally high standard. The rear of the property boasts an outdoor spa, fire pit and outdoor heated swimming pool, as well as enough lawn for ball games and sun-bathing.
The property has use of concierge services, covering essentials such as meet and greet and local information, but can also extend to best-value bookings for skiing, golf or the luxurious day-spa, all of which are nearby.

We can't say enough about how peaceful and relaxing this vacation home is! This was our third visit, and we are still amazed with every return. The property exceeds all our expectations.....it is well equiped with all amenities and is in superb condition.The owner was a pleasure to deal with and responded quickly to any inquiries. We look forward to another return visit!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

Perfect location for our two family extended weekend for skiing in Ste Sauveur Region. Chalet accomodated all our needs and more during the stay... location provided all needs to our group of Parents/Teenagers. Close enough for busy shopping/recreational activities but remote enough for privacy/quiet time. Would highly recomend and consider for return visit.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

About the owner: I am a Canadian married to a Brit and living in the UK. I am a stay at home mum and we are determined to ensure that our children stay in touch with their North American roots. That is why we purchased our small piece of Canada and we are there as often as we can be. The children love it winter or summer, there is as much or as little as you would like to do. You can set your own pace! We all ski together in the winter and end the day in the hot tub! We splash in the pool in the summer and experience the cosmopolitan street life on Montreal in the warm summer evenings. We walk in the woods all year around. We watched a raccoon try to get the lid off our garbage and saw a hummingbird hover 6 inches from us on the other side of the window. The chipmunks play for hours, the deer walk through the woods. It is truly our heaven on earth.

Morin Heights, Saint Sauveur and the Laurentians offered us everything we wanted in terms of activities. The slopes in Saint Sauveur are lit to allow night skiing. 45 minutes drive to Mont Tremblant gives you a whole new skiing experience. The cosmopolitan city life with museums, galleries and theatres is available in Montreal only 45 mins drive away. The water parks and 6 Flags theme park are favourites for the kids in the summer. Quebec City and Ottawa are also close enough for a day visit.

Staying at our home allows to set your own pace for your vacation. WiFi allows you to stay in touch with the office if you choose or you can just sit on the deck and watch the wildlife. You can load up your snowshoes and skis and go off along the crosscountry ski routes or you can sit in the hot tub. You can have dinner at a swanky Montreal restaurant or you can put your feet up and watch a movie with a home cooked meal. Its all there if you would like to experience it or you can sit back and kick off your shoes! Either way, or a bit of both, you will have a great time!
