Location: Ventura, Central Coast, California, USA (1 short block to the ocean and 20 miles S of Santa Barbara!)

So why not come to relax in an elegant atmosphere, and enjoy the beachside ambiance of our beautifully decorated home which is just one short block to the sand and directly next to the newly renovated San Buenaventura State Beach Park.

Special features include a fireplace, a full gourmet kitchen, and a 350 square-foot deck off the living and dining area with a view of the Pier/Surfers Point/State Beach Park Sand Dunes. Master bedroom suite is on the third (top) floor, and has a lovely queen-size bed. A trundle bed/twins make up the guest suite. Deluxe linens are provided. The lanai is set up for lounging, reading, relaxing, and dining under the stars. The amenities are endless. Gardens are lush and beautiful, creating an ambiance of privacy. Lemon, orange, and apricot trees are there to be shared, or just to savor the aroma of the fresh citrus.

Walk to the great local beach restaurants and coffee houses. Seaward Avenue offers local restaurants with authentic Mexican food at Joannafinas, fresh fish and chips at Seaward Fish & Chips, Spasso Trattoria & fun-filled historic Dukes Restaurant for great breakfasts, hamburgers, arcade, and family fun. Olivas Park Golf Course is 1 mile from "Nirvana" and has been rated (2009) one of the TOP 10 Public Courses in the COUNTRY!
There are two other courses, Buenaventura Golf Course and River Ridge in close proximity.

Von's market, Meridian's Italian-eat-in/take-out/or delivery, Scrupples hair salon, Donut Shop & Starbuck's are also on Seaward You never have to get in your car or leave the beach! Rent bikes and ride to the Channel Islands National Park Visitors Center located in the Ventura Marina or ride the bike path to the Pier/Old Town Ventura or up to Santa Barbara/Ojai, if your game. Hop on board one of the cruise boats (Island Packers)that takes you out to the Channel Islands for a truly great adventure. Whale watching cruises during the winter are a must.
"Nirvana" is an ideal get-away for those discerning few. Everything is provided to make your stay a memorable one -"Nirvana" is situated adjacent to the newly renovated San Bueanventura State Beach Park with workout trails, volley ball courts, & much more. Once back home rinse off under our outside hot/cold water shower. Yes, that's right you're in Paradise!

  • We left heat and humidity in Boston and arrived to warm sun, a cool breeze and tranquility at Nirvana. Our family had a wonderful stay. The house is well-stocked with everything we needed, even a cooler for our beach picnic! We enjoyed early morning jogs along the beach path, and gorgeous sunsets on the deck. Thank you for the warm welcome; we will be back, I hope soon!

  • A good position to explore Ventura and excellent for the beach. Every need is catered for in this exceptionally well stocked property, very well maintained, clearly loved and with a great deck. Not a large property but perfectly adequate for 4 people and the deck makes a big difference in the wonderful Ventura weather. Patti is a great host and I strongly recommend Nirvana (a place without fault) to anyone as an extremely comfortable and good value retal. Patti thanks for everything.   • 10 Days of sheer peace,quiet at the ocean. Walking for miles along the beach with the salt water in the air, the smell of sea weed every once in awhile brings back childhood memories of family outings with cousins,aunts, uncles, sisters, brothers,and parents. 2030 Ayala is NIRVANA we will always remember our time there. Walking to town and enjoying the downtown area of Ventura is so convenient and healthy. There is a lot going on in Ventura we love eating at Andrea's fish mkt. in the Harbor. Another must is the Scotch & Sirlon overlooking the Harbor. Time flies when you are having fun at NIRVANA (appropriately named).

  • We had such a terrific relaxing time. Actually felt like we were at home.The weather was a little cool but made for such a cozy stay. Even though we only live an hour away, I felt like we were in Hawaii. The home, view, comfort,and more importantly, Patti and Gary. What a terrific time.

  • We had a wonderful time and couldn't have picked a better place to vacation than Ventura. Nirvana is such a comfortable, cozy hideout and is in the perfect location. We enjoyed running along the beach full of surfers, shopping in downtown, and I don't think we went to one restaurant there where the food was anything less than fantastic. (For sure we will have to visit the kite store again too, since that day of all of us flying kites on the beach still stands out in my mind as an all time fave.) Nirvana was the perfect getaway from our crazy, non-stop, fast-paced lives in the city and we look forward to our return. Thanks so much for having us!

  • This was our fourth or fifth consecutive year vacationing at Nirvana in Ventura, it's our home away from home. It makes for a very relaxing trip, knowing that all we have to pack is our clothing, because everything else is waiting for us when we get there, in comfortable, familiar surroundings. We really look forward to morning coffee on the sunny deck, pilgrimages to Ojai and Santa Barbara, and exploring the hiking trails. It makes a wonderful break from -20 weather back home and lets us brace ourselves for the rest of the winter.

  • We had a great vacation at Nirvana. The beach house was very clean, comfortable & well equipped. The deck area was wonderful and it was great to be so close to the beach. We enjoyed downtown Ventura & the harbour area and there were many great places to eat breakfast, lunch and/or dinner within a short distance of the house.

  • We've been back for a month now and looking out at an East Coast "grey morning" I am brought back to our sunny California visit! Patti and Gary have thought of EVERYTHING to make a visit perfect! The location is terrific, the furnishings are lovely and comfortable, the kitchen lacks nothing! Coffee on the sunny deck is a great way to start the day. Of course, our personal tour of Ventura and Ojai was frosting on the cake - a wonderful visit reacquainting with old friends!! Many, many thanks!
