Our North Lake Tahoe mountain vacation rental is just minutes from world-class ski resorts at Northstar, Sugarbowl, Homewood and Squaw Valley and offers warm weather activities including boating, hiking, and biking. Take advantage of the many amenities Carnelian Woods Townhouses has to offer, including over 100 acres of private hiking and biking trails, an Olympic size swimming pool, two Jacuzzis, saunas and a game filled clubhouse complete with a pool table and arcade. Just walking distance from the lake and a short drive from shopping and dining in Tahoe City, we have everything you need to enjoy your time in North Lake Tahoe.
Our vacation rental is complete with all of the comforts of home including a fully supplied kitchen, a river rock wood-burning fireplace, private forest and mountain views, a cozy living area with 27 inch flat screen TV with cable/DVD/VCR, free wireless internet, a Playstation and audio system. Our vacation rental is ideal for a small group of 4 or less with one master bedroom, an upstairs loft, and 1 1/2 baths.
If you are planning on some skiing at Squaw Valley there is a free shuttle that pics you up just yards away from the front door. Perhaps you want to hit the Casinos in Incline Village Nevada. Perhaps other activities are your passion, Tahoe has many activities for the non skiier. Snowshoeing, and Snowmobiling are popular and fun. Don't forget to get a good meal afterwards!
If you have dogs, we are dog friendly and we would love to have them come stay with you. We pride ourselves on providing a perfect experience for your pets. We have treats and toys available.
We have recently remodeled to include updated bathrooms and kitchen. Enjoy our river rock fireplace on snowy evenings or our balcony with creek and mountain views for summer time enjoyment. In addition, we provide storage for sports gear such as skis and snowboards as well as a well-stocked wood closet for your convenience.

Kenny and I, married since 2000, live in the bay area with our daughter and two dogs. We both share a love for the mountains and of water. We are also dog lovers, so what better place to bring our family to enjoy the mountains, the crystal clear lake and dogs than Tahoe! Why the Owner Chose Carnelian Woods
We have been owners of this property since 2003 and have really enjoyed spending our free time in such a beautiful place! We know how important it is to have vacation time and wanted to extend our place others who feel the same way about Tahoe that we do. We love that there are so many great activities to do right out of our front door in all seasons. In the winter, we often step out to go snow shoeing or sledding and in the summer the hiking and mountain bike trails are world class right out of the door! The lake is just a few short blocks away with access to a state beach. Experiencing Tahoe feels so effortless from our place.
The Unique Benefits of this Townhome
Some of our favorite restaurants are in walking distance of the vacation rental. My favorite place in the world to have breakfast is the Old Post Office Cafe. They have the best pancakes I have ever tasted! For a casual dinner, CB's Pizza and Grill is the spot. It is a local place, so you won't see a lot of tourists, just great eats and beer on tap. Another favorite and Tahoe classic is Gar Woods Restaurant. They have both casual and elegant dining and offer live music on the weekends. Gar Woods also has a pier and deck over looking the lake, which is great for watching boats come in at sunset. There are so many more great places to go, from Truckee to Northstar to Tahoe City and Squaw but sometimes I really like just stepping out the front door and walking to a great place where I can relax and enjoy.

Spent three nights at this property and will definitely look into staying here on our next Tahoe getaway. Easy access to Squaw, Alpine, Homewood, and Northstar. This townhome has all of the amenities and is in great shape. More importantly, it was spotless. Take advantage of the free WiFi, as cell reception is spotty. The owner was very responsive and easy to contact throughout the booking process, which was quick and easy. We did not bring the dogs on this trip, but will definitely take them along next time. All in all, a really great value!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, pet owners, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.
